Situated in Detroit, this lovely bed and breakfast for $139 per night is a great choice for your next break. Private ground-level suite located in an exclusive Grosse Pointe Park residence. Conveniently located near Detroit's attractions, less than a block away from beautiful Lake St. Claire, and a five minute walk from The Village center. Enjoy the beautiful amenities of a luxury hotel in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. A separate entrance ensures guest privacy- easy-in, easy-out. **Safety precautions** special disinfection and deep cleaning will be standard protocol for the duration of the pandemic. This includes the precursor disinfection when previous guests disembark. A surface cleaning follows, with a deep cleaning of all bedding (sheets, mattress pad and pillows are sanitized) and towels. Then a final disinfection before the unit is ready for check-in. Since germs can live on surfaces, certain decor has been removed from the unit at this time - including throw pillows, extra rugs, and bathrobes. Spray cleaner and hand sanitizer is located in the kitchenette for use during your stay. This spacious room is connected to a private bath with a seated marble walk-in shower. Queen-sized bed is equipped with a luxury mattress and premium bedding. Room amenities include television (equipped with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon TV/Video), fiber WiFi connectivity, ample closet space and additional armoire for storage, writing desk, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee/tea station, whole house water purifier and personal thermostat. In the closet you will find hangers for your use. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo/conditioner/soap, luxury towels, hair dryer and flat iron. Suite also includes access to shared outdoor patio space. All furnishings are in new or excellent condition. Guests have access to the entire suite including the bedroom, private bath, storage areas and patio. The entrance is private access so you may come and go as you please. Utilize the reading library (read one, take one, give one) and the Amazon Echo for music, news, and more. *Extra guests over 2 people - $50/pp *Pet fee $40 -- dogs and cats are welcome with the following conditions: dogs must be kept on a leash or well-behaved (ie not running through landscaping or interfering with neighborhood pets, etc.) Nails must be trimmed, droppings must be picked up and disposed of outside. Don't track mud through the unit; excessive dirt will result in an additional cleaning fee. Grosse Pointe Park is a beautiful, historic neighborhood about 15 minutes from downtown Detroit. Enjoy a 5 min (2 1/2 block) walk to The Village shopping district for a Starbuck's coffee, Einstein's bagel, a cocktail at The Old Pony Martini Bar, provisions at Trader Joe's or a quick remedy from CVS Pharmacy. Lots of little boutiques and shops are in town to peruse while wandering about during your stay. Grosse Pointe is about 7 minutes drive from the I-94 freeway. Located right next to beautiful Lake Saint Claire, and 15 minutes drive from downtown Detroit. Detroit's The Fox Theater, The Fillmore Theater, The Detroit Opera House, The Fisher Theater, Cobo Center, Little Caesar's Arena, Comerica Park and Ford Field and just all great things downtown. It's about a $15 - $20 Uber/Lyft ride to the city (depending on peak times). The Village is within walking distance (bikes are available upon request), or The Hill, Mack Ave, etc are only a few minutes drive. This is a very safe neighborhood for walking, biking, or running.

Location was fine. Check in was fine. I had absolutely no contact with host except for hearing loud talking and laughing and door slamming between 9:30 and 10:00 pm one night. Only an inside door separating room from host's house. Room was dark...I left early and would certainly not return.

One of the nicest VRBOs we’ve stayed at. Just about perfect. Would have been nice to have had a pen and paper handy, but that is a minor “nit”. Walkable neighborhood, nice outdoor garden space, lovely room.

This was the perfect place for me to stay during a weekend retreat in Grosse Pointe. The neighborhood is lovely and I felt completely safe as a woman traveling solo. Very clean and everything you could want was provided.

From the gorgeous flowers in the garden to the all the necessities and "extras" this is a wonderful find. The street itself is breathtaking beautiful, with shopping and cafes in close proximity. Lindsey is the best Vrbo host we have ever encountered.

Home away from Home
This was my third time staying at Lindsey’s place. It’s perfect for a single or couple visiting GP. I was in town for a family event, and it was great to come home each night to this quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed space. When we are coming into town we always check here first.

A restful home-base when visiting family
This was my second time staying at this property and it was exactly as expected - clean, comfortable, well-appointed and convenient. Lindsey makes it so easy to have a nice private place to stay when visiting my family who live nearby. I’m already booked for the next visit!

Finally a GREAT place to stay in Grosse Pointe
The property is beautiful--perfect for a couple or one person: certainly ideal for grandparents visiting grandchildren from out of town. It is centrally located near the Village and an easily accessible Starbuck's. It's located between St. Paul and Jefferson:a very safe area populated with many affluent young couples and their children. The apartment is hidden behind a house, so the entrance is private and looks out on a walled backyard. The room has enough windows to ensure that it seems filled with light, but the Venetian blinds guarantee privacy.
It is also obvious that the host is a great interior decorator. One could spend an hour perusing the artifacts, the popular novels, the magazines, and the travel books. A very comfortable chair is provided for reading as well. If you prefer to journal or use a computer, a well-lit desk is provided.
From the standpoint of functionality, the place is a stand out--with a Keurig machine, a refrigerator, toiletries, a mop, a safe, a state-of-the art TV, and unlimited storage space. The bathroom is well appointed. You do need to run the hot water for a few minutes, but the shower pressure is excellent.
In my case, there was a slight glitch in gaining entrance to the VRBO. I commend Lindsey for being very responsive and for fixing the problem. She was even willing to meet me at 10:30 at night--if the problem had continued. You couldn't ask for a more considerate and kind host.
When I return to Michigan from Florida to visit beloved family, I will definitely stay here again. The hostess has done a great service for former Grosse Pointe residents like myself.
Now she just needs to update her list of tourist attractions to include The Dirty Dog, a predominant jazz club located on the Hill.
