Great family holiday

Excellent location, close to town centre and beach. The house is exactly as described and accommodated our family perfectly. Kitchen is well stocked for eating in but there are lots of lovely restaurants in Wells and close by. Information provided by the owners was comprehensive and helpful; their communication is excellent.

Great location for our mixed age group of 9

Location of property is ideal. Parking for three large vehicles. Clean, tidy and comfortable for 9 of us. Well enclosed small outer space for small dogs to stretch their legs.

Louñge oñ the smallish side for party of 9 but conservatory ideal for eating and games. Just a note that the stairs are very steep.

A nice property in a superb location, we had a lovely stay.

The location was fabulous and the property was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, although we ate out apart from breakfast. The garden was secure for the dog and the outdoor seating was perfect to enjoy the great weather we had. Parking was great for our two vehicles, one of which was a small van (so not that small).

The only minor issue we had was that because the kitchen was so well equipped, there was no cupboard or drawer space to put any of your own food items, although there were two under counter fridges for lots of chilled food and drink. We couldn’t get the dishwasher to clean the crockery and the instructions in the handbook were for what must have been a previous dishwasher. We didn’t come across the instructions, but they may have been there somewhere, it wasn’t a problem, we just washed up!

Welcoming stay

Thanks to Mark who let us borrow his house that had everything we needed to make our stay turn into a wonderful welcoming experience. The off road parking, the whole layout of the house is so inviting from when you step through the door to sadly when you have to say goodbye. Our location was just right to obtain all we needed, Bakers house is a must and would recommend it for a great vacation.

Ideal location with parking.

My 5 siblings and I enjoyed our stay very much at Bakers House. It was cosy and warm which was appreciated as outside it was freezing and then the snow came!

The shower in the en-suite was not fabulous, but I think the other great things made up for it. A cafetière would be a useful addition.

Ideal for anyone looking to stay in the middle of Well for a mini break.

Great central location, property perfect for our stay - Mark (our host) was quick to respond to any questions we had. Nice touch with the welcome package. House was clean and tidy, plenty of room for us and the dogs that came too. Despite being close to the road, very little traffic noise was heard.

Very good

A large and comfortable holiday let with one ground floor bedroom for less mobile visitors, plus w/c which was ideally located close to the quay and pet friendly - a huge bonus! Parking for several vehicles at no extra cost was good too however the public pay and display car park is right next door. There’s also a seafood restaurant directly across the road which was fully booked during our stay so unfortunately didn’t get to eat there but they also do a take-away service. Plenty of pubs, cafes, take-always etc nearby so you won’t go hungry. Only downside was the noisy road but that’s the trade off for being so close to the quay. For gin lovers there’s also a shop just across the road selling speciality gins, vodka’s etc. Would stay again.

Couldn't have asked for better

- Amazing location right in the heart of Wells. - Really nice and helpful community with the owner prior to and during our stay - Great set up in the property, including an amazing dining are that was perfect for family meals and nice touches throughout - Very comfy beds - High chair provided and has a stair gate, which was perfect as we had a 1.5 year old with us - Free parking on site

Great location, well equipped house with parking for three cars.

Location was perfect, close to the harbour. Well equipped and clean.

Smart TV was too complicated for us! Four toilets but Only two bathrooms even though states there are three.

Brilliant location in a really comfortable cottage

The location was great. It was a great cottage for 2 families. We loved the large dining table in the conservatory it was brilliant we could all sit and eat together.

Short break in Wells

Location was ideal, only a minute’s walk from the main high street. Parking for 3 cars. The house was well appointed and really comfortable.

Only thing of mention is the steep stairs so those with some mobility issues might struggle.

location excellent.11 of us well equipped for all .mark was always very cooperative in sorting any problems.such a pity as not cleaned properly with Covid and young family felt disappointed.had to wipe surfaces sinks and floors .did mention to mark

as above such a shame as a lovely holiday home .bins not emptied was rectified after few days .bread bin was so disgusting only fit for shoes.

Amazing for all the family to have the chance to have such an enjoyable stay

Location brilliant. House more than met our tended families needs Nicely furnished and very comfortable beds and seating areas Kitchen very user friendly Enough bathrooms so as not to cause a problem!

The facilities and location were great, we needed a place in a convenient location, must be pet friendly, must have a secure cottage garden/patio for letting the dogs out late or early morning and must have parking. Bakers House ticked all the boxes.

Only small thing is the steep stairs but the child gates that are provided would save any child accidents.
