Wonderful host and an immaculate, comfortable house: great beds, air con throughout, a superb shower, and the washing machine was a lifesaver in the August heat. The location is ideal for a family - we walked to Kenrokuen, the castle, Omicho Market, the ninja temple and both the geisha and samurai districts, and it's close to Kanazawa's restaurants while staying peaceful at night. It also made a perfect base for our Shirakawa-go day trip, ten minutes from the station bus.
Nothing. With two kids in tow for three nights we'd have found any weak spot, and there wasn't one.

My partner and I really liked the apartment, it was a blend between Western and Japanese and we loved that. The owner received us and gave us a lot of information. His English was the best we heard during our trip, which was very convenient. The apartment was very spacious and clean and the bathroom was amazing. We also had the option to buy breakfast for the next morning and we gave it a try. The food was tasty and it was served in a peaceful restaurant near the apartment. As for the location, we thought it was great. Everything was in walking distance for us and there's also a beautiful river nearby.
Although the washing machine was very convenient, it was a bit confusing at first since we didn't find an English manual in the information binder that the owner provided. There is also no drying machine, only a drying rack. So drying clothes took very long. After our stay, we found out that there's a laundromat very close by so we recommend drying your clothes there :).

looks very nice everything
- host is very friendly but a bit much to sit guest down
- near bed area no light switch even though everything is hyper modern
- a bit loud from other guests. i was in a groundfloor room
- breakfast is not served - you do it yourself & it is very simple!
