It’s a good option to stay.

Property is located at fairly close distance from Lansdowne at scenic place. Food provided was good.

In house facilities need to be improved, ceiling fan was making lot of noise led to uncomfortable sleep nights, bathroom need attention, in room tea /coffee making facility was absence, spider and moth found crawling/flying.

The setting was superb. The hosts were very gracious. The retired Colonel Rawat inspite of being not at the best of his health was so kind to call me over to his room in the property and spent time talking to me. Both he and his wife are absolute delight to talk to. Last but not the least the food served to us was so tasty. The staff was very patient and supportive of all our requests :)

Superb

Property location and amenities are good. The Garhwal Himalayas are clearly visible from the upper storey rooms.The room bearers were friendly, on-their-toes and all with a big smile on their faces. But the memorable part of the stay was the personal touch of the landlady Mrs Neelam Rawat. Col Rawat was unfortunately not well. Wish him a speedy recovery. Overall very much recommended. We will definitely look forward to another visit to this place in future.

Best place to stay when in Landsdowne!

The lesser known hill station Lansdowne is more than meets the eye.. for travel lovers, specially long drive lovers...the ride in this weather...rainy and winter combo was picture perfect! Our stay in Jaiharikhal was beautiful in it's own way..quaint and so scenic one cannot get bored! The ambiance as evident from the photographs of this home stay do justice to the place and the highlight was the exceptional hospitality extended by our hosts, who were like family... so kind, caring, chatty, lively and utterly humble.. rooms are cosy and staff is ever ready to help with anything.. home food at it's best.. this place is a must visit for those looking for comfort, beautiful landscape and leisure time spent enjoying the natural beauty of the mountainside!

The place is nice and location is also good. the family room I got was quite spacious.

You can have breakfast/meals outside for which special spaces have been created. This gives a good feeling

We had a wonderful stay. The location of the property is amazing (away from the crowded area) and the view is stunning.Food is very homely. It was a peaceful stay. Hosts are friendly and helpful.

Best Stay with Best View!

The property was really amazing. It was very soothing, it had a great view and had loads of space to sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea, or breakfast while looking at the sunset and the mountains. The staff was very polite, readily available and kind. The food was so homely and fresh. Everything was perfect for a leisure time with your friends, family or even for yourself. The location was also not far away from the main market, but was isolated enough for some quite and peace, away from all the traffic. It was a truly wonderful experience for us.

A soul searcher's paradise

So much to say about this place, let's see how well I can put this into words! Why should you visit and stay here? because the moment you arrive here, you'll be greeted by 3 sweet 'pahaadi' dudes, scuttering around like squirrels to help you with your bags, with the widest smile extended across their face because you'll be guided to 'God's Own Window' (their open dining area) for a lumptous lunch/dinner, where you'll sit in the lap of the Garhwali valley, and a gentle and chilly wind will breeze away all the tiredness from your body and mind, invoking satiety for the belly and soul because you'll be greeted and invited with warmth and happiness by Col. and Mrs. Rawat to their home, a vintage bunglow built a year before our country's independence, but maintained with utmost care and taste because this is a botanist's paradise, for there are Orchids and Ficus plants spread across the entire estate because you can trek through the woods to a nearby village for an authentic Garhwali breakfast. The trail starts right at the rear end of this place! Now how exciting is that?! because you'll be greeted with folded hands and a humble smile by Arjun Singh and his German Shepherd "Cheeku" when you reach the village, and you hear from them stories about leapords who are common visitors to the village, and his own experiences from back when he was with the Indian Army, while you dine away, wondering if this is the "peaceful life" your ancestors used to tell you about because you get insights to the offbeat trails and places in Lansdown to check out from Col. Rawat and Neelam aunty because you can get in touch with your inner calm self here, and gaze at the stars in the chilly, windy and pitch dark nights, feeling hallucinated by the heavenly bodies All in all, if you wish to get away from the hula hoops of city life and the daily stresses of life, look no further.

Cozy little place with most amazing hosts and good food!

Col Sahib and his wife are just amazing hosts. Because of all petrol pumps being closed because of Holi, my car had almost 0 petrol left when i reached the hotel. Col ji went out of his way to make sure i get petrol delivered from 25kms away petrol pump!! We also had great time talking to them! They give special home prepared food which was mouth watering and in big portion sizes. Mrs Rawat ji prepared an amazing hilly Lemonade for us which we kept ordering multiple times during our stay. Staff was very friendly as well. Every corner of the place has been decorated so beautifully.

Staff can be trained better. Not all of them knew what all was available in the menu for snacks etc. We also heard multiple knocks on our door at 8 in the morning which disturbed our sleep.

Such an amazing experience!!

The hospitality of Col. Bikram and his wife was amazing. We went there on election times..So there was a scarcity of cabs. We weren't able to find any cabs to the hotel. Then my wife and I decided to walk down for 6 kms. But 6kms in a hilly area would have taken atleast a couple of hours. Still we walked by and managed to cover 2 kms on foot. We were dead tired and still GPS time was showing 1 hour left. Luckily I got a call from Bikram Sir and he proactively said that he is coming to pick us up. He acted like a savior. We waited for him. He came with wife. We sat in his car and rushed to the hotel. We were relieved. Our stay at the hotel was amazing. Will recommend it to everyone. Regards, Faraz

A beautiful stay tuck away in the Hills

Colonel Sir and Ma'am, Hats off, you have maintained the property very well, loved it very much. Secondly, food I would very much recommend, very homely and delicious, veg and non veg both. Mutton curry specially, next time we will surely have other specialties of the Chef. We surely would come by anytime the future. Love to meet you both again Cheers

Worth visiting! We spent a day walking upto Lansdowne town and the neighbourhood.

Fantastic breakfast, while basking in the early morning sun. Beautiful views of the hills. The Rawats are very warm hosts - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!

Minor issue- but in hindsight, wish there was a warm+cold water mixer in the baths!
