We cannot rave enough about this beautiful rental property!! I usually do not rent places where the landlords are right there but Cynthia and her family could not have been more accommodating. Although this rental is attached to their house we virtually never saw them. They gave us all of the privacy we needed and were so quiet yet whenever we had a question they answered right away. The rental is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you could ever need. Everything is brand new and spacious. The west shore is not a popular tourist spot and a little rougher than some of the other shores but we felt completely safe at this rental and thoroughly enjoyed exploring and visiting the many gorgeous beaches close by. We could not have been happier with this rental. We would highly recommend Cynthia and her beautiful rental to anyone who wants a wonderful vacation on Oahu!! Thank you so much Cynthia for your wonderful hospitality.

This is a beautiful house however you are literally connected to the owners house and share the backyard and pool with them. They watch you the entire time you’re in the backyard and it’s strange. I’ve stayed in many VRBO’s and never shared a house or backyard with the owners. You’re not allowed to bring ANY guests to the house so if you have family you can’t bring them to the place you’re staying. Also there are cameras watching you at all times outside which is uncomfortable. There’s no privacy and when we travel and pay for a place to stay it’s not intended that we’ll be babysat by owners. Had o known this we wouldn’t have stayed at this house. The owners windows are open all the time so you literally have no privacy! The pictures are exactly what it looks like inside but they fail to show the outside and explain what part is their house and what’s yours. The pool picture doesn’t show the house either so you can see the windows that look straight to the backyard of the owners house. Also it’s a bit hot in the house and you can’t control the A/C it’s locked. If you don’t mind sharing common areas and being watched then this house is perfect! The owner should be very specific on the description and tell you the details of them living on property in a connecting house and sharing a backyard with them!

There were pros and cons. First unit was very clean and contact for property was easily available by text message. Pool area a little disappointing water falls only ran for two hours a day from 7:45 am to 9:45 am. Not enough glassware nice assortment of appliances. Major con was surrounding neighborhood and the chicken coop behind the house with roosters which started crowing at 3:30 am, luckily second night we found the noise maker, beach near place was very small with a lot of litter on it and more than a few steps from house . At least an hour drive to anywhere like Pearl Harbor,Waikiki and airport.

Great value for a beautiful 2br guest-house-style unit, tucked away on a quiet street, hardwood floors throughout and 5-minute walk to a beach spot where turtles sunbathe! Up-to-date kitchen with high quality countertops and appliances. Washer and dryer in the unit plus flat screen TV in each room. Pull the car right up to the front door. Location is 45 min from HNL airport, so distant suburbs in a more rural setting. Local flavor with roosters, 2-lane roads and a small town atmosphere. Beautiful, uncrowded west-facing beaches and Pacific sunsets are a couple of miles north; we enjoyed not being packed in urban Honolulu with overpriced accommodations. We were often the only ones for morning walks on the beach - we didn’t think this possible on Oahu. Although note the trade-off is a bit of a drive for fine dining, shopping or Waikiki city lights.

This is the best place to stay! We loved the location! The home is just like in the pictures and even nicer in person. The pool was beautiful and very refreshing after a day in the sun. The hostess (Cynthia) was always willing to answer any questions we had and was very detailed! We definitely plan to come back next year ! The beaches which are many are very close and not as crowded as the ones in Waikiki or the North shore and in my opinion more beautiful. Two large bedroom and two full bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen! Appears to he like an in-law suite but very well appointed with hard wood floors and upscale decor throughout the home . In the charming neighborhood it was probably the nicest home. Thanks again for letting us rent your beautiful home! Loved it All The Hedgepeth’s PS —Feral chickens are a real in Hawaii (google it no joke)—-The neighbors Chicken which does start around 4 was faint and the house was well insulted. Simply put it was a minor allowance and definitely tolerable!

Our family had a great time at this property. Owner was very nice, responsive and easy to work with. Pool was great, house was clean and has all the amenities a family would need. As other people mentioned, yes there are chickens next door but you can plan on hearing those anywhere outside of downtown, including fancy resorts. The West side was a little bit of a drive every day, but totally worth it for the privacy and awesome beaches nearby.

It was fine. We were there 10 days. Cynthia and Eldon are very nice. When something came up, they handled it immediately. The upstairs home was nice and clean. Newer appliances. Everything is well kept. We visited the beach several times, saw turtles and other interesting ocean life in the tide pools. Keep the portable fans going at night & you won't hear the roosters at the neighbors. The people there are very nice. Yes we would go again.

Our Oahu experience was an excellent one! Our host Cynthia was prepared with answers to all our questions that were asked with a quick response. Our stay was pleasant with an excellent home with washer and dryer and all that you could ask for especially after long hiking days. Truly the comforts of home... The home was clean and inviting.. I recommend this home for my family and friends...and you! Truly Blessed to have this 'off-the-beaten-path and local hideaway. Oh, and btw, the roosters did not bother us even with their rootin' as there was a white noise machine in the bedroom. Thank you again and we sure hope to be back soon!
