About this house rental
Located in Holladay, this lovely house for $132 per night is a great option for your next break. This is a cozy stand alone home surrounded by old, beautiful trees, in a nice, quiet neighborhood, with enough room for a family or group of friends looking to stay close to the canyons and only a 20 minute drive to downtown Salt Lake City. The house has a private patio nestled against the trees in the backyard, full kitchen, family room, dining room, two large bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The full size bed has a brand new 12” mattress. There is parking space for multiple cars. Extra precautions have been taken to carefully sanitize the guesthouse. There are a few great restaurants within walking distance (and a lot more within a few minutes drive in any direction) and the 6200 South I-215 freeway exit/entrance is only a one minute drive away, which puts you at the mouth of the canyon on your way to Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird, and Alta for world-class skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and more! The resorts of Park City are only 30 minutes away via I-215 and I-80. The family room includes a large HDTV with Comcast cable with over 70 channels. There is high-speed WiFi available throughout the house and a cabinet full of board games to keep you entertained at night! The kitchen includes a full stove, full size fridge, dish-washer, and sink, plus access to the patio which is stocked with patio furniture and a gas grill. One bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and the other has a full size bed along with a desk. Both have plenty of furniture and closet space to store your clothes during the stay. There is a queen-sized air mattress that can be used for additional sleeping, along with a single size air mattress, and the couch in the family room is very comfortable. The house also contains a pack-n-play and stroller. The house is in an ideal situation and in addition to everything the canyons offer, you are only five minute drive from a golf course, a ten minute drive to the nearest rec. center (which contains a beautiful pool and hot tub), and a 10 minute drive from Fashion Place mall (largest mall in Utah). The owners live next-door and are happy to make individual recommendations. There are bicycles available upon request.

We would not hesitate to stay here again. The location was close to the ski resorts. It is in a very safe neighborhood. The guest house was extremely clean. Very easy check in and check out process.

Everything about this unit was great....location, attentiveness to detail, amenities etc.
Joan was gracious host and I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to be 20 to 30 min away from the ski slopes and still have access to all the conveniences of a big city.

Terrific place to stay. Extremely safe family friendly neighborhood. Good for family walks and trips to a great park with a playground for the children. The hosts catered to my family needs offering various children items that made the trip extremely special. The hosts gave us great privacy to the property and my family enjoyed our stay. My family will be back!

The house was just what we expected. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed for meals and the backyard patio was perfect for hanging out in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.

-fun and cool decor (and info about the history)
-welcoming with the treats
-plenty of everything (finally a place that isn't too stingy with detergents, tp, etc!)
-very clean (we have a lot of allergies in our little family and no one had any trouble at all)
-Joan was great at communicating and accommodating
-no long checkout list (just start the dishwasher and put stuff back: awesome!)
-safe and private
-great location (so many things to do and places to eat! We loved hiking in the canyon)
-fun toys that actually worked!
-gorgeous deck area
-they let our kids use their yard and play set
-really good wifi

We felt so comfortable, relaxed, and at home here. What a lovely house and host! Maybe the best place we have ever stayed. I highly recommend this place; it's so good!

We ( 2 of us) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely guest house. We came to Salt Lake for a week of skiing and this location was very handy for getting to all the major ski resorts. It was also convenient for grocery shopping and a variety of restaurants. The house is set well back from the main road in an upscale neighborhood and very quiet. It is well maintained, nicely decorated, has plenty of windows for natural lighting, and met our needs. Though nothing needed fixing while we were there, it was nice to have the owners, a delightful couple, right next door in case of an issue. We highly recommend this property.

We loved this property. We stayed 45 days and wish we could have stayed longer. Over that much time you really get to know a place and the hosts. The space worked great for us. We cooked many meals in the kitchen, had guests at the lovely dining room table. We watched football games with friends in the living room an launched day trips around SLC and the nearby ski areas including Alta, Deer Valley and Snowbasin. The central locatation with close proximity to the freeway (without the sound) is terrific. The woods and bushes nearby are terrific habitat for many birds and deer. Mark and Joan treated us like we were family. We had a great time.

Great location, very clean, well-stocked kitchen, super comfortable beds, helpful hosts. The house was decorated for Christmas, and we enjoyed it very much. It was the perfect place for our 10 days ski adventure in Salt Lake City.

We had a most wonderful extended stay @ this place while our condo underwent construction. The house is exactly as viewed in photos, very nicely furnished & decorated, with comfy couch & beds.
Hosts who live next door were quickly responsive to any needs we had, while maintaining our privacy also. The location can’t be beat if you are planning a ski trip to 1 of the resorts in Big or Little Cottonwood canyon, as it is very close to entrance of these canyons.

We stayed at this property for 11 days while visiting our son and his family. The location was excellent for both proximity to our son's home and for proximity to Big Cottonwood canyon, restaurants, grocery, and other parks. We would definitely stay here again. A bonus was the big front yard and play set that our grand daughters loved. We also enjoyed the small special extras from our hosts such as a supply of coffee, snacks, and tomatoes fresh from their garden!

This is a great place to stay! I stayed with my wife and infant son. Joan had toys and the crib already out for us when we arrived. The whole house was very clean and cozy. Very private. Large TV, fast wifi, comfortable couch and beds, many towels for use, pots and pans, snacks for us, very safe location, etc
The only small nitpicks I can think of would be a slightly squeaky floor in front of the bathroom and the door to the secondary bedroom is difficult to close due to the way the door hits the top of the door frame at a slight angle. Also, check for bugs/spiders on the bottom of the green cushions on the seating outside before sitting there.
Other than those tiny critiques, I have nothing bad to say! I would absolutely stay here again if visiting the area. Highly recommended!

Perfect little House
We loved East to West. We arrived late at night after all the local convenient stores had closed. The fresh baked cookies left for us really helped the kids get over their rumbling bellies. The house is in the middle of everything but you would never know it. Very nice neighborhood with fast access to the interstate making both downtown SLC and the mountains 20 mins away. The owners could not be more attentive and accommodating.

The beds were more comfortable than our beds at home. Our visit was for skiing, and the location was great for that. There is a ski bus park and ride about a mile away, and the ski bus was very convenient and easy. Though we didn't use it, the guest house has a nice private outdoor area as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Wow, what a place!
This is a great rental in a beautiful area. Joan is a great host and very responsive. The little touches go a long way and you will want for nothing with this rental. We loved our stay and will return in the future!

The property was very close to everything we needed.
The reason we vacation in the Salt Lake City was to go snow skiing and snow boarding. The property is about one and 1/2 mile from the bus line that takes you up to the ski resorts. Also the property was just the right size for our group of four. Plus Mark and Joan are very nice people and will help you out if you have any question.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 nights we spent here. The guest house had everything we needed and more. And the location was perfect for accessing the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon resorts. Joan and Mark were great hosts.

Convenient to everything in the SLC area
We were looking for, and found, a great place to stay close to the ski resorts in the Cottonwood Canyons. The Guesthouse is in a quiet and secure area with easy access to the beltway freeways. Good restaurants and shopping is nearby. The property is in great condition and beautifully appointed. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay for a ski weekend
Joan’s home was exactly as advertised. The location was perfect for getting to the mountains. The home was cozy and the snacks left for us were a fun surprise treat. Joan was truly wonderful to work with and I was especially grateful for her flexibility when we suddenly had to change dates of our trip. We hope to stay here again!
