Located in Cuba, this charming house for $390 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Palm Paradise Private Home PARADISE IS FOUND at Palm Paradise! Palm Paradise offers a home with white powder sand right at your doorstep, and crystal clear blue water just steps away. The home is on the Atlantic side of the island featuring wonderful tropical breezes allowing for cooler air and a mostly bug free environment. Dining inside for more elegant meals with a crystal chandelier over the dining table or more casual out on the deck under an umbrella with views of the ocean or the stars and the sound of the waves. Palm paradise has a surf bar with sink and a margarita machine to whip up your frosty island drinks. The great room has high ceilings with windows that lets in lots of light. All rooms have ocean views and sliding glass doors with access to the outdoor deck. There are climate controlled air conditioners and overhead fans in each room. Each bedroom has it's own private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The living room has built-in bookcases with a flat screen TV, Netflix, games, and books. The kitchen is open to the great room and has all amenities including a dishwasher and microwave oven, and it is a fun place to cook and entertain with counter seating. The beach right out front is one of the most beautiful beaches on Long Island. You can walk a mile south feeling the white sand between your toes and most times you won’t see another soul. As you travel south, you will come to a protected beach that offers calm waters for swimming and snorkeling. If you travel north from the house, you will see natural tide pools, great for finding sea glass and a variety of shells If you are looking for a romantic escape or a fun family vacation, you have found it. One of the best-kept secrets in the Bahamas is the family island of Long Island. With many secluded beaches where you can get lost in your thoughts with only the sound of the surf and warm tropical breezes. There is a lot to do on Long Island, from exploring natural caves, snorkeling at Dean’s Blue Hole, the second deepest blue hole in the world at 663 feet. Climbing up to Christopher Columbus point to see where Columbus landed, beach combing, kayaking, visit the local museum, see multiple plantation ruins, enjoy an eco-tour of the local waters with turtles, sea rays, and colorful fish, deep sea fishing, bone fishing, straw markets with locally made straw works, salt ponds and maybe you will see the beautiful pink flamingos, and so much more. Or just relax, unwind, read a book or take a nap. Palm Paradise is located just 5 miles south of Clarence Town, the capital of Long Island. Clarence Town features excellent restaurants, a post office, shops, and a beautiful marina. Deadman’s Cay airport is 25 minutes north with daily flights from Nassau. There are several car rental agencies, and a car is necessary to get around. When a reservation is made I send out information for airport and airline details, car rentals info, grocery stores and more.

We stayed 10 days at Palm Paradise and loved every minute. Myself, husband, and 16 year old son could not have been happier with the accommodations. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were so soft and comfortable. The view was amazing!! We had a welcome basket from the home owner Janice when we arrived which was a special touch. The house was fully equipped with essentials plus beach chairs and margarita machine!! There were boards games and WiFi for downtime. Also plenty of books to choose from! About 5 minutes from the house was a grab and go food from Ms. Molly which we used several times since it was an easy text to order and she would text us when to pick up. We enjoyed Gordon’s Beach Bar & Grill. They had excellent rum punches!! The beach was breathtakingly beautiful! We also enjoyed Dean’s Blue Hole, Gallaway beach, and Columbus Point. We also ate at Letta’s restaurant & bar and enjoyed good company. There is a cute souvenir shop next door with local made crafts. We have been to Nassau and Eleuthera on several trips and now rank Long Island as our favorite!! Janice truly made our stay perfect. She was very responsive to any texts and helped guide us to great day trips on the island. She even made us homemade cookies when our internet was down for less than a day:). Absolutely beautiful! House and beach are even better than pictured. Love the location towards the south end of the island. Janice is a gem! She is willing to help with anything. Please dont tell everyone about Long Island....we like it without the crowds.

We spent two weeks at Janice’s vacation home and it was perfect!
The house was beautiful and very well maintained! It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the house were stunning, and only a few steps away, down a cool little path is a beautiful beach where you are the only ones there. During our stay, we saw a flock of flamingos fly overhead, and several crabs on the beach and I enjoyed my daily scavenger hunt for shells!
The people of Long Island are super friendly, they wave as you drive by and treat you like a local rather than a tourist. Max’s Conch Bar was a great little spot to meet people and Gordon’s Bar and Grill to the south was one of our favourite places to hang out.
We have rented several houses though VRBO and had great experiences with owners but Janice is a true gem! She was so helpful in so many ways, from helping us through changes with our reservation at the beginning of the pandemic, and assisting us with car rentals and airlines. She was always available to answer any questions we might have had.
Bottom line: If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly place to come to on your vacation, then Long Island is it, and if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet place that feels like your home away from home, then Palm Paradise is the perfect fit for you!

Palm Paradise is a very comfortable and clean home with a great view from the deck and inside. The 'no footprints' beach is just a few steps away for long walks and dips. Unfortunately, the wind and the waves were strong for most of our stay.

This place is the reason why I have been using this site for years and years (prev. home away). It is a home away from home, only with all the sunny and warm holiday vibes we European crave so badly at this time of year! The house is exactly like in the photos, just maybe more beautiful. You have everything you need and Janice is so helpful and kind. We took 1-hour+ walks on the beach every day for our 11-night stay and saw a total of 2 people and 1 dog. Despite what many here claim, you will get everything you need in the grocery stores. Hillside food supply turned out to be our favorite. If you are very picky you might need to go to a different one, I am a vegetarian and ate like a queen. If you are tired of overcrowded, over-busy tourist destinations, this should be your next booking.

Janice and Bryan were nothing short of incredibly nice people. The island is beautiful and their rental property is also. We really enjoyed our time and Janice’s helpful advice both before getting there, as well as after we arrived. The island requires the use of a rental vehicle and Janice provided help in helping us find the best option to secure a rental car. She even bought Christmas presents for our two daughters, had snacks and beverages, and brought us supper since our arrival was much later than planned so we couldn’t get food at the stores before closing. I cannot say enough kind things about Janice and Bryan—and know that it’s refreshing to meet people that still understand the value of great customer service. Cheers friends!

Everything was as described in the listing. We’ve stayed in many places throughout the Caribbean and this is easily the cleanest. How was spotless. Janice was great to work with before and whenever needed during our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded retreat this one is hard to beat.

Amazing
I’ve been struggling how to put into words how wonderful this property is. The house is fantastic, wonderfully laid out with big windows looking out to sea, and a deck you can sit on to just chill and watch the waves coming in. The location is indescribably lovely - The beach goes on and on in either direction. We were here for 10 or 12 days and only saw two people on the beach the whole time.
The house is clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. Everything is kept at a higher standard than other houses we have rented.
We knew we wanted to stay on the Atlantic side of the island, knowing that the breezes would keep us cool (our trip was in July) and keep any bugs away - and we did not have any bugs at this house the entire time! Not one mosquito bite, not one Noseeum bite. That is an amazing thing to be able to say for a beach house in the Bahamas!
The host, Janice, is extraordinarily helpful and nice. She stays nearby, but you never see her unless you ask her to come (text). She was wonderful when we had questions about things or needed assistance with anything.
I’ve stayed at a few houses in the Bahamas, and this one really stands out in a big way. We could not have been happier. Just waking up and looking out at that amazing view was enough for us, but there were so many great things on top of that.
I just want to say one last word about the people of Long Island. We really made some friends in our short time - All the people we met were extremely friendly and kind.
I highly recommend this island and I highly recommend this house.

The house is extremely clean, beautifully decorated & within easy striking distance of great beaches & restaurants. The beach is a few steps from the back door. Janice, one of the homeowners, is unfailingly helpful & kind. We had a great stay & highly recommend this house.

Everything about our stay at Palm Paradise was exceptional. Communication with Janice regarding booking, upcoming stay and helpful information about the island and amenities was great. The home is amazing in all aspects and Janice and Bryan clearly take pride in making their home perfect for their guests. We will stay here again when our travels bring us back to Long Island.

Perfection
Every aspect of our trip was perfection. The property is exactly as shown in the pictures and description. The views are breathtaking and while there are a smattering of houses around, you feel like you are on your own private island when on the back porch or down on the beach. Janice was most helpful with information before and during our stay. The house has everything you will need if you want to stay in and cook - including a daquiri maker! If you are interested in going out to see the local sites or eat out, Janine provides a wealth of information for you. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and we relaxed the week away. We cannot wait to return.

Palm Paradise is paradise!
We visited this property 3/4/20 through 3/9/20. Words can't describe how beautiful this property is the location is just right for enjoying your time outside in the sun and crystal clear water. Janice and Bryan are truly very responsive and excellent hosts. The house was very clean and all amenities are how they describe them. You do not need anything but your swim suit and sunscreen everything is supplied at their home. They will even help you with suggestions of places to eat, market, restaurant and excursions. You can't ask for a better place to stay or better hosts! Excellent!!

A pleasant home in a quiet spot.
This is a well designed, clean, and very comfortable vacation spot for two. There is good beach access and a lovely deck. Being on the windward side of the island it can be a little windy. Janice was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Home! Long Island is the Bahamas best kept secret!
We stayed at this beautiful home for 9 days and wish we were able to stay longer. We brought our 9 month old little girl with us and she experienced the beach for the first time (we are from Colorado) and she had a blast. The house is right on the beach, very private and has all the amenities you need for a beach house! We fell in love with this island and want to return very soon! The people are so accommodating and lovely, seafood is amazing, lots of fun bars, an incredibly safe place, so much fishing and spear fishing! We are so lucky we found this island and were able to stay in Janice’s beautiful home. Thank you, Janice! ❤️

Paradise !!
Wow where do I start !! Our family LOVED Long Island bahamas ! We stayed 3 weeks in Long Island and it was still not enough time to enjoy all this Island has to offer . The people are beyond amazing . Such happy friendly people on this island makes going home so hard . Everyone you pass on the road waves at you . You don’t see that happen anywhere anymore . Need I say more . Janice and Bryan are 2 of the nicest people you will meet on the island as well . And their home they let us borrow was amazing !! They have really thought out everything and I do mean everything you could need while away from your own home . The house is everything you see and more . Very clean , modern and right on the beach ! Just walk down the awesome deck off the back of the house and a few steps you have miles of open beach left and right all to yourself breathtaking ! The breeze was so relaxing to sit out in the deck have a drink and relax no bugs to worry about here the breeze is amazing ! At night check out the stars you have never seen so many stars as you will see in the Bahamas ! Back inside the house you will find it to be so comfortable and very cool . The WiFi at the house works great as well as the large tv with Netflix for extra entertainment . The beds were super comfortable . The home is super clean very well taken care of . We had a lot of open good space for everyone to spread out . Janice and Bryan were super easy to work with and very helpful for everything we needed on the island . They shared lots of useful Island info to make our stay more relaxing . They went above and beyond for us when we were scheduled to leave and the ferry had a mishap and was not leaving on our scheduled departure . Janice and Bryan really helped us out in a very stressful time and made sure it worked it self out . We are so happy we chose to rent from Janice and Bryan and we will be returning and will rent again for sure . We have already shared with all family and friends who are looking into their next vacation on Long Island as well ! There is also kayak and snorkeling gear to use as well . They have thought of everything ! There are so many beaches to explore and every beach is different. The caves , plantation ruins , deans blue hole , so many things to do and see . We are already working on our next trip and we will for sure be renting from Janice and Bryan again! Thank you so much Janice and Bryan for sharing your piece of paradise with our family !
