About this house rental
Located in Surfside Beach, this charming house for $197 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Overlooks the lake, while still a block (13 houses) from the beach. Spacious 4 bedrooms sleeps 14 comfortably (16 with sleeper sofa). Large kitchen for meal preps and lots of seating in the living room. Dining table seats 12, add two more chairs at end of table for dinner for 12. Private and tranquil area due to more space from neighboring homes. Lots of deck space out front and on the side to take advantage of or escape the sun. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front deck watching the swans or take a short walk to enjoy a quiet morning walk on the beach. Send the kids out to fish in the lake while you watch from the deck. We are also dedicated to making our guests stay as enjoyable as possible and we are constantly upgrading the accommodations . Upgraded appliances etc reduce the chances of breakdowns which are a big inconvenience for our guests. We can't prevent every inconvenience but we do our best to make sure it doesn't happen. Updates: 2024 new patio couch chairs and Barbeque Adirondack chairs 2023 : renovated bathrooms, new flooring new dining table and chairs seats 10-12 2022- new kitchen 2021- newly painted and new barbeque 2020- new carpet in MB and stairs. Laminate everywhere else. new washer and dryer April 2019 New King bed on main floor. New Queen bed. New laminate flooring upstairs. New Dining table and chairs seats 10-12. New patio table and chairs outside. New Barbeque. Two new couches. New dishwasher. New pillows and blankets June 2019- New Air Conditioner Sept 2019- New stainless steel Fridge and Stove, New door to deck, new Blankets (replaced from summer). New hot water heater Dec 2019- 4th bedroom reno. New vinyl laminate flooring on main floor More Pictures Coming. Dog Friendly- great location since there is actual green space for your little guy to use the bathroom. Many locations are a bit of walk to find an area the dog can use. 1. Ocean Lakes will not accept pit bulls or rotties. 2. Poop and Scoop or a fine will be charged by Ocean Lakes. Don't forget to bring your golf clubs! One of the amazing things about an Ocean Lake's vacation is how much money you will save. There is no need to go to a waterpark and pay $40 each and have no reprieve from the heat and noise. Ocean Lakes has everything you need to keep entertained included in your lodging price . Footsteps to the ocean, a short walk to the Water Park. You can swim in the large resort pool, enjoy the kiddy splash zone, race down the 2 slides, lounge in the lazy river, hit the indoor pool or miniature golf, arcade, basketball courts, beach volleyball, shuffleboard, skate park, recreation center, and nature center. Forgot something there's a well stocked store, or eat n greet where you can enjoy an ice cream or pizza , fries you name it they have it. If you must leave the park, you are close to the core of Myrtle Beach or escape to quaint Murrell's Inlet. Flying in 10 min from the airport and downtown. Ocean Lakes Family Campground is 24 Hr Security Gated Beach Resort..... Ocean Lakes has a large security team and they are committed to ensuring the property remains a family-friendly vacation area. They issue tickets for playing music too loudly, lewd music, loud music on golf-carts, drinking on golf carts. They will come to the unit if there is partying going on and can decide to evict. It won’t end up being a good time. If you are looking for a party place, don’t waste your money and have your trip cut short, find a place that is party- friendly. Long Term Rentals: Long term renters are welcome, off season. Monthly rates are available upon request. Other Items: There is a $15 per day per vehicle. Paid directly to Ocean Lakes. Golf Carts Must be rented directly from Ocean Lakes Family Campground Departure cleaning $175 Bedsheets included Check in is at 4:00 Check out is at 10:00 NO SMOKING Pets- no cats. dog please inquire NO STUDENTS Families welcome! We enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s in a convenient location in Ocean Lakes. Close to the ocean but not on the main path either. Communication with the owner was great and quick to answer any questions.

Our week was great! A few glitches on check-in day, but Shannon was quick to respond and resolve the issue. Within just a little bit of time, everything was taken care of. The house was very clean and the location was great. The layout fit all 8 of us and the new washer/dryer got plenty of use. Also makes for less packing and suitcases! Overall, a 5 star location. And 5 star customer service!

Property was just what we needed. Close to all amenities, without being too loud. Nice are across street to walk dogs. 2 decks were wonderful, one stayed shaded most of day and other was a great moening spot over looking the pond. Shannon was great at solving issue with door lock, ahw answered immediately. Will definitely look at staying there again.
Only negative was the cleaning crew prior to check in could have been better, to which Shannon said she would address, nothing to dampen our vacation though. Thank you again for sharing your lovely beach house.

We usually go to Ocean Lakes every October for 10 days for vacation and all of the Halloween festivities. This house is exactly what we were looking for. It’s pet friendly and very convenient to walk the dogs with the pond and grassy area just across the street. Also, just a short walk to the beach. The house is also big enough so that you can gather with everyone else or have a little privacy when needed. The kitchen is well stocked with all types of items you would need to cook a meal. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the ducks and geese in the pond. Our time there went by entirely too quickly and we were sad to have to leave. I’ve actually already booked it for our trip next October.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I believe we have found our annual vacation home. Very close to the beach, right across the street from one of the ponds (great fishing) , we really enjoyed the decks also.

Family Holiday
We had a great time-the house was very spacious and in a great location. We had a late night arrival with a few glitches. One of them was that the house wasn’t as clean as we (and the owner) expected. There was another small issue as well but Shannon took care of them both quickly. She went above and beyond to make things right. We would stay there again if we were to come back!

Wonderful Anniversary and Thanksgiving.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Ocean Lakes Campground. The house was very nice. Great location . My husband and I were celebrating 30 years together in a place where we met. His family and my best friends families both had places in the campground. We had a great Thanksgiving and anniversary. Shannon was a wonderful person to rent from. May have to make it an annual thing.! Thank you Shannon for everything.

Close to the beach!! Great house with lots of room.
We had never stayed (or even heard of) Ocean Lakes but were enticed by the idea of the proximity to the beach and the water park. This house is less than a 5 min walk to the beach. Plenty of room inside - we had 8 guests (5 teens and 3 adults) and it was perfect. Two decks and porch swing.
The owner is great and very responsive to anything you need.
I highly recommend you pay for the parking in advance. We did (thanks to the owner's recommendation) and it saved time upon arrival. This place is a zoo on Saturday afternoons. We arrived around 1 (thankfully) and it took us close to 45 mins to get down the main road to the entrance. B/C we prepaid we could slip in on the left. Those who didn't had to wait.
The waterpark is nice but tends to get really crowded. The 4 teens boys with us tried it out one day but were too impatient. Found it a better option around dinner time or later. The pool is nice but also gets crowded during the date.
The houses in OL are very close together. So if you are looking for a yard this is not for you. But we spent most time at the beach - so close we could walk back to get drinks, snacks, etc.
I recommend that once you get into the house on Saturday you don't go back out til late or wait until Sunday. The main roads are very congested with arriving guests. There's a Walmart just across the street and a few other stores close by. Great ice cream across the street as well.
The owner has a golf cart you can rent and OL also rents carts. They are fun but not necessary. Everything is close. But folks love them so when walking keep your eyes peeled!
The community is quiet after 10 but before that fireworks are let off most nights.
Overall we had a great time in OL and highly recommend this home.

Very nice & comfortable
We really enjoyed our week at Oceanlakes. The location of the house was so convenient to the beach. While the house doesn't have an ocean view, the lake right in front of the house was a nice alternative. We did have a few issues with the house but Patsy was on top of them immediately! I spoke to her several times during our week and she couldn't have been more accommodating & nice. Overall the house is nice & comfortable and the issues we had were not the owners fault but possibly a renter that was there before us. I honestly don't know if I've ever rented from a nicer owner who cares about the comfort of their guests! I can't say enough good things about the owner Patsy!

It was a great place to stay. We loved it it had a lot of what u need in the kitchen.
Kitchen well stocked and had everything you need. House was great. A lot of steps for people with arthritis but we enjoyed staying there. The only thing that would make it better would be if they furnish a golf cart. We paid 360.00 to rent one.

Great Family Home
We loved this home! It was big and spacious so the whole family had the room they needed. It is super close to the beach and water park so you don't even need a golf cart. It was really clean and we'll decorated. There are two porches and they were great to grill out and enjoy the sun. Patsy is super nice and friendly. She is responsive with any issues. Truly a great place and we would stay here again!

We had plenty of room for 9 people. The kitchen was WELL stocked so we didn't have to take things with us or eat out all the time. I have zero complaints. Ms. Patsy was a pleasure to work with and I hope to go back again next year!
