Our first time in Türkiye, 10 nights in Istanbul. Stayed at Triple Suite, the hotel’s location is excellent; near the Tram 1 and Marmaray (short walk, about 100 m and 300 m respectively), near the Spice Bazaar especially. Many eateries: burger joint, koftecisi, kokorec, lokantasi; take your pick.
The hotel’s people are wonderful: Sercan, Mahsum, Hidir, Huseyin, all the breakfast team members. Of course, Ayșegul did a very good housekeeping: we returned to the room every afternoon welcomed by a fresh room and bathroom. The next time we’re in Istanbul, we’ll choose Mercure.
Nothing (well maybe just upkeep the furniture e.g. wardrobe doors, thank you).

Location is good. All of the things of the old town are easily accessible.
Room was enough big. Very good mattress which is a huge plus. Nice staff. All equipment works.
Doesn’t give the 4* hotel impression. Looks old. Well located, but totally hidden entrance by tents, cafes, sales points. You would never match the photo and reality.
The sofa is a kind of wide chair. Unfortunately, very dirty one. Blackout curtains are not really blocking the light. The blanket is made from pure poliéster that gives the sensation of constantly getting hot though a conditioner is working.
And obviously price is not matching the quality.
I’ve chosen the chain hotel with 4* rating paying a bit above tu o be sure of the quality. But it appears as a mistake.

Great location, within walking distance of all the main attractions. We upgraded to a larger room and it was very spacious and comfortable.
