Prime Location: Located just a 10-minute walk (under 1 km) from Kraków's Main Market Square, making it easy to stroll into the Old Town without needing public transport.
Private Balcony: The outdoor seating area was a highlight, giving us a peaceful spot to sit out and enjoy breakfast in the morning.
Modern Space & Laundry Setup: The apartment felt fresh and clean. Having an in-unit washing machine and an air-drying horse was a huge practical draw.
1. Poor Sleep Quality & Furniture Hazards
Uncomfortable Mattress & Cushion-Like Pillows: The mattress was far too firm, and the pillows felt more like stiff sofa cushions. Tossing and turning throughout the night led to frequent wake-ups.
Sharp Bedside Corners: Adding to the restless nights, the bedside tables had sharp, square edges that were easy to catch on while moving around in the dark.
2. Bathroom Comfort & Safety Concerns
No Bath Mat (Slippery Floor): No bath mat was provided, leaving the tile floor dangerously slippery and wet after taking a shower.
Minimal Towel Supply: Only two towels were provided for the entire stay, forcing us to wash them constantly just to keep them fresh.
Plumbing Odor: A persistent rotten-egg/sulfur smell constantly came up from the shower drain.
Cramped Toilet: The toilet is wedged into a narrow nook, leaving very little legroom.
3. Missing Essentials & Service Gaps
No Laundry Pods Supplied: Despite advertising a washing machine, no detergent was provided. We had to purchase a 24-pack of pods for just six uses, only to leave the remainder behind because they couldn't be brought on our return flight.
Lack of Arrival Info / Hidden Amenities: There was no welcome letter or information card. Finding basic items took guessing—such as locating the kitchen bin tucked away under the sink.
Waste Disposal & Privacy Issues: To find out where to take trash, we had to message the owner on WhatsApp using Google Translate. We were informed that the external waste room access code had changed and was unavailable to the host, so we should leave tied rubbish bags outside the waste room door for the cleaning staff. Leaving personal waste—including sanitary products—in a shared public area felt uncomfortable and unhygienic
