This home was clean and a perfect fit for our group. Maki was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the process from booking to departure. This was a great way to feel like a local in Tokyo. Thank you!

The 2 twin beds in the living room were most comfortable according to my son. The working AC in both rooms helped with the sweltering summer heat. The western kitchen table/chairs, the stove and refrigerator was very convenient for breakfast and late dinner after arriving very late due to the cancellations of the shinkansen from kyoto during the Typhoon and Obon-Yasumi week. Overall the apartment itself is a good one but the building maintenance (smell in the elevator and dirt/vomit/cans in stairwell) needs some work. The location is very convenient with a lot of konbini and restaurant along the way to and from the JR station.

Perfect size for four adults. Instructions were easy to follow. Maki was very responsive to all communication. Neighbourhood is very cute and welcoming and short walk to train made for very easy travel.

We love the location of the apartment to akihabara and tokyo. It’s vibe is 1960s and i loved that. Maki is very helpful and thorough with his information. We would stay here again!

If you are looking for a place to stay in a residential neighborhood, this is a great place. It's in an area that's away from commercial centers, but still very close to the train station. There are multiple convenience stores, supermarkets, and drugstores nearby, and there's a long street with lots of shops, ranging from used clothing to fresh tofu to flowers that was fun to walk through. We went to one of the gardens nearby, and it was very nice. The train connection is not always the best, depending on where you plan to go, but we wanted to be away from the busy areas, and this was perfect. It's cozy for four adults, but totally adequate. We didn't cook much, but there's a functional kitchen, with a good fridge and a microwave. The washer was very nice to have, given the heat wave while we were there. We actually stayed in two different units offered by the same owner during our stay (because we left Tokyo in between), and we were happy with both units. The property manager was extremely responsive.

Check in and location were so easy to find ans access! The owners were in communication days before our stay started sending detailed information and pictures for us to get to and inside the rental. The property is an apartment styled building but has an elevator to help with luggage. The area was so fun to walk around in. Lots of loval restaurants and shops, the subway station was right down the street for very easy travel and there were so many adorable café and coffee shops in the area thats I'd highly recommend! The unit itself was great for the few days we stayed. Veey clean and big enough for 4 adults, laundry was provided and the floor mats/beds were so comfortable and like a memory foam. Highly highly recommend for your stay in Tokyo!!

Comfortable, well appointed apartment in a quiet area of Tokyo. A very short walk to a subway station on the JR line. Home-like atmosphere with restaurants, grocery store, and beautiful Japanese garden close by. Friendly and helpful hosts that were easy to communicate with.

The place was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Aside from being very close to the station there were lots of shops all around. The neighborhood was also such a great place to explore and the park was just walking distance from the apartment.

The apartment was clean and cozy and perfect for our needs! The area was wonderful, too, and the apartment was really close to the train station which was super convenient! Maki was also really sweet and communicative and answered any questions we had and provided a bunch of information about things we could do or see! I highly recommend this property and would stay again myself!

Maki’s apartment was spot on. Komagome is a lovely little town on the circle line. So easy to get to anywhere in Tokyo from here. The apartment was very clean and the shower was nice and hot. There is an elevator, which is great if you are on the top floors. Very comfortable for four adults. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to Tokyo, but away from the frantic pace.

The owner provided us, before our arrival, with detail instructions of how to get to the apartment, along with essential info of the area. The host even provided us with an extra key when asked. Our family had great time in Komagome and Tokyo. Thanks

This was a great apartment for us. It truly is just a few minutes’ walk from Komagome station (Yamanote line). There is plenty of bedding and towels and the kitchen is fitted out nicely. It’s located in a quiet residential zone with some charming shopping streets. There were great restaurants and stores with the basics and lots more. The only reason for four stars in some of the review areas is because 1) I misjudged how far we’d be from relatives elsewhere in Tokyo and 2) the apartment interiors were a little on the older

As a family of four with twins age 7, it was an affordable, solid place to stay for a week. Pros: close to the train station, access to the Yamanote line, being able to do laundry, and the owners (Maki) was VERY helpful overall. Knocking off one star just because of the general cleanliness of the building itself (I know, not the owners’ fault, but it still is part of how we felt when coming in and out of the building) and the apartment felt a tiny bit rundown in spots, especially since we’ve moved on to hotels in Osaka and Kyoto. For the price, though, it is very reasonable.

The whole process is very straightforward and easy to navigate, all of the instructions provided for the appartment are detailed and comprehensive. The place is very large with a seperate bedroom and comfortable mattresses. Shops and restaurants nearby can provide anything you need. The JR Rail station nearby makes it easy to get to all the popular spots in Tokyo. If you have a JR Rail pass there is no extra cost. I would definitely stay there again!
