Tom - San Diego Centrally located in the quiet, laid-back town of Forestville, in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, The Carriage House offers style, luxury, comfort, privacy, and amenities in the heart of wine county’s most desirable area–renowned for premium wine tasting, dining and recreational activities along the Russian River. Your hosts are dedicated to supplying a beautiful environment and a memorable vacation experience. THE SPACE Situated on a 2-acre olive farm, the architecturally designed 640 sq-ft contemporary guesthouse is built of old growth redwood, cedar and Douglas fir and features a living room with soaring wood ceilings, stone gas fireplace, wet bar w/ mini refrigerator/freezer, micro/convection/toaster oven & Nespresso Coffee maker, master bedroom and luxurious bathroom — all designed for privacy and relaxation. A large 200 sq. ft. covered deck runs the length of the guesthouse creates another living area with views of the pool, gardens, olive grove and treetops of the forests beyond. Every type of modern luxury has been thought of including, free WiFi, heating and air conditioning, gas fireplace, a 55" 4K Smart TV with integrated surround sound which allows guests to log into and view their personal TV Apps. The extensive grounds feature a beautiful swimming pool (pool is shared with owners) and sun decks, extensive gardens, and a number of lounging areas for relaxation. Location is everything and the guesthouse offers world-class wineries, top restaurants, biking, kayaking, golfing, shopping and spa within a few minutes drive. 30 minutes to the coast, 20 minutes to Healdsburg, Sonoma County airport, Sebastopol & Guerneville. Please note this rental has stairs. GUEST ACCESS Guests are free to explore the gardens and pool area around the Carriage House, and the Olive Grove on the hill which features a pergola covered lounging area with views of the property. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Please note the pool is available to registered guests from the hours of 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and is shared with owners. We try to give our guests private use of the pool during available hours when possible. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Perfect place for romantic getaways for couples. Location is great, we explored surrounding areas and had some amazing meals. The property is so well done and has such a relaxing vibe. If we were looking to getaway again close to home would choose this place always above staying at a hotel. Super friendly and communicative hosts that treated us with champagne and breakfast goodies! Added bonus are their adorable dogs that live on the property. Hope to return in the future!

We spent a relaxing nine days in this beautiful accommodation. Not only were the accommodations pristine, it was beautifully decorated with interesting furnishings and art. The carriage house is set back from the main house, so it is not only private, but it has a massive private deck to take in the property’s beautiful setting, that includes an olive tree grove, a stunningly beautiful pool, with 4 or 5 separate areas to lounge, dine or converse. Mark and Rob, the hosts, have not only created a beautiful wine country oasis, they were personable and helpful in every way. You will love this place!

Beautiful and relaxing property!
My husband and I stayed here following a business trip he had in Napa. The carriage house is very well appointed and as an interior designer I thoroughly enjoyed Mark & Rob's furniture and art selections. You can't beat the location if you're looking to explore wine country and the coast. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again sometime soon!

We had a super fun day with Erik Smart of Smart Tours who picked us up at the house for a private kayaking excursion in Jenner, followed by a picnic lunch on the coast and a 2 mile hike before returning us home.
When our dinner reservations at Farmhouse Inn got cancelled the day of due to heavy smoke, Mark and Rob kindly offered us some of their delicious pasta since almost every restaurant in the area is closed on Monday evenings! They should seriously consider offering meal plans because Rob is a great cook! His homemade granola is AMAZING and we wished it was available for sale!! ;-)
We stopped at Pascaline's on our way home and highly recommend their quiche, sausage stuffed pastry, canales and granola. Everything was terrific, but the canales is the best version we've had to date!!
We look forward to a return trip!

Great Vacation!
This property was absolutely beautiful inside and out!! Views were incredible! Property had everything you could possibly need! Mark and Rob went above and beyond to make you feel at home. The homemade granola and coffee were perfect for getting us ready for a day of wine tasting. Pool was also amazing for afternoon in the sun or just relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Property was conveniently located to so many great wineries and easy drives up the coast. Hope to get back as soon as possible! Best Sonoma rental we have ever had!!

I planned this getaway for my GF with the plan to propose over the weekend. When we checked in, we could not stop admiring the attention to detail and immaculate grounds. Throughout our stay, Mark was incredibly helpful with all of our inquiries. This carriage house ended up being the perfect place to share our special weekend. We will definitely be coming back for some R and R. Highly recommend this beautiful rental!

Very impressive
A lovely place, well maintained, and generously appointed. This is a wonderful spot for a holiday break. The kitchen area, originally designated as a wet bar, is bijoux - but allowed us to be creative with microwave cooking! The bathroom was clean, spacious and modern, the bed comfortable and and capacious, and the living room delightful. Rob’s granola was delicious!

Gorgeous property! Loved the carriage house!!
The grounds were beautiful bursting with fall color! The carriage house is gorgeous - modern yet warm with a nice gas fireplace, lovely soaring wood ceilings and gorgeous wood floors! I very much enjoyed the beautiful views from the wall of Windows and large covered outside patio area. No detail was missed! We arrived on Thanksgiving day and Mark and Rob provided a fabulous 5 star Thanksgiving meal including dessert and a wonderful bottle of wine. We so much enjoyed celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary at the Carraige House! We Look forward to visiting again!

Relaxing, beautful setting, and amazing property
We have been going through a remodel for the last year. We needed peace, quiet, and a place to relax. Forestville on the micro olive farm was just what we needed. We made no plans before we arrived and Mark provided a list of their recommendations for restaurants and wineries. The accommodations were perfect. I highly recommend the guest house and we will be back for sure!

Gorgeous Property Nestled Near Wineries and the Coast
This is a fantastic place! The location is fantastic (about 20-30 minutes away from most Sonoma wineries and the coast). The cottage is gorgeous on the inside; well-decorated and furnished. The flowers and personalized itinerary were such a nice personal touch.
Mark went above and beyond by also providing an olive oil tasting on the cottage balcony with fresh bread from the local bakery and olive oil made on the property.
Definitely would recommend and can't wait to come back in the future!

A peaceful and relaxing getaway
Mark and Rob are great hosts. Together they have designed a little piece of paradise in west Sonoma county with an incredibly comfortable guest quarters and a beautiful garden and pool, perfect for summer, and we imagine, any time of year.
