This single storey cottage has two bedrooms both with queen size beds, flat screen TV's and ceiling fans. The home features two separate living areas, the south facing lounge room spills out onto the beautiful deck and has views across the bay of Lake Macquarie. The Lounge area is equipped with flat screen TV, Foxtel, DVD player. The second living area adjoins the modern kitchen and is at the rear of the house and has a double sofa lounge. Next to the second living area is a full laundry with Washing Machine, Dryer, and Ironing facilities. The stylish kitchen is fully equipped with Microwave, Dishwasher, Tea and Coffee and all the modern kitchen gadgets. Sun, Surf, Fish, Golf or Relax Sit back, relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the lake as the Ducks and Pelicans pass by or hit the Golf course for a round Golf at the beautiful Belmont Course. Launch the boat at the public boat ramp and head off to get the catch of the day ready for that afternoon BBQ as you take in the beautiful summer sunsets. The property is conveniently located only 5 minutes drive from beautiful Blacksmiths Beach, or an easy 5 minute walk to Belmont Golf Club. Shopping facilities are available at either Belmont or Swansea. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 adults (2 queen beds and 1 double sofa) . All bedding linen and towels are provided. We were very happy with the Ducks Bungalow as it delivered on everything advertised and we had an enjoyable 8 nights. Only disappointment is the WIFI and internet connection as it is in some type of black spot. Even using my phone as a mobile hotspot gave very poor results.

After a nightmare start, couldn’t get into property with codes given. Once in the place was beautiful, a few maintenance issues needed. Like light in bathroom not working, cold water tap in shower needs looking at, tv in first bedroom not working properly a few door handles need repairing. The dog next door howled a lot and more privacy needed whilst out on the deck. All in all it was a lovely holiday but has a few issues to be fixed with the price that is charged.

The view! It’s unbeatable. The home is extremely close to a beautiful swimming spot - Naru Beach, walking distance to a coffee shop that sells worlds best Portuguese tarts and has a super friendly doggo next door that loves a pat. Although there is no air con, the house has 2 portable fans that help keep you cool. The place we spent most of our time was water side on the deck or with our feet in the water. The kitchen is fully stocked which was a wonderful surprise. Overall, just lovely.

Toilet light didn’t work at all. Bedroom door handle lock has dent into wall. I don’t want to be accused of this. Suggest repair and install doorstop. Dog next door was making crying noises and jumping at fence while we ate dinner on verandah. Maybe a coverage of cloth or bamboo at bottom half of fence so both can’t see each other.

Comfortable stay perfect for my 2 night short holiday, the house is identical to online photos and very clean. Enjoyed the ease of entry with pin. I messaged the host in relation to kayak hire, although i didnt land up hiring the kayak (due to weather) I found the owner to have quick and friendly to contact. Overal my experience was very pleasent and would return in the future

Perfect location & amenities for the relaxing break we needed. Loved watching sunset from the deck and access to the water. Highly recommend it to others and will stay again when back in the area.

This place was clean, quiet and located right in front of the water which is great. It was perfect for staying with my wife and daughter. We have no doubt to go back if we ever have a chance to be around there for holiday

We were there during winter so probably not as bustling as usual but place was relaxing and convenient distance to supermarket and to many sights. Kitchen well stocked for cooking at home. Had a really lovely time with the family and started wishing we could stay longer on the last day! Thank you Sue!

Great cottage which backs onto the lack, great facilities, bbq, deck, kitchen etc and very clean. Unfortunately we only did a quick overnight but would be great if you wanted to fish or kayak on the lake. Only small downside internet was a bit dicey. But otherwise great spot. Thanks

Such a lovely property at an amazing location, right on the lake. We didn't want to leave. Cottage had everything you could need. Calm, shallow water for the kids (and adults) to paddle in. Soft, luscious grass to relax on, or partake in some boules or Finske (supplied). Deck looking out over the water, perfect to enjoy a drink or BBQ. Comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen. Host super helpful and quick to reply to msgs. Thanks for the great weekend!

This place was way more than I expected. The photos online do not do it justice. It was spacious and the breeze flowed through it. The back deck had a gorgeous view and my elderly mother was able to sit and enjoy her cup of tea on the deck, watching the ducks and pelicans as well as my teenage kids kayaking and paddle boarding. The evenings were spent watching the sunsets over the lake. Would definitely recommend this property.

Excellent location for family with elderly and young kids. Elderly can sit comfortably outdoor. Water is about knee to hip deep which is quite safe for kids. Beds and towels are super comfy and ultra clean!! Owner is nice and friendly. Room for improvement: add in Netflix and indoor dining (something for bad weather) will recommend for others.

Lovely time, easy checkin and everything you need plus very clean! Beautiful location with amazing sunsets and good coffee just around the corner. When we come back to Newcastle to visit family again would definitely love to return to Ducks Bungalow!

My sister and I spent a relaxing 5 days in this lovely cottage on the lake. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped, with a verandah for breakfast with the ducks and watching beautiful sunsets over the water.

Very spacious and comfortable. Only negative - Adjoining properties are very close so house is quite dark. Great cafe walking distance. Central to many things and Lake Macquarie is a beautiful area. Will definately revisit.

A stunning bungalow right on the waters edge of Lake Macquarie. Beautiful location so peaceful & relaxing with magnificent views of Swan Bay. The accomodation is fabulous has everything you could possibly need and some to stay as short or long as you like. Cannot fault this place, it's amazing. Sue the host was wonderful, never heard from her unless we contacted her needing something or just to answer a few simple questions. Ducks Bungalow is highly recommended.

The photos don’t do this place justice. A beautiful little property in a beautiful spot. We were lucky to have blue skies and spent the day out on the deck only steps from the lake. Property is super clean and well equiped with everything you could possibly want or need. Beds were warm and comfortable. Cafe in walking distance around the corner along with the sports club. Would certainly stay again.
