About this house rental
Nestled in Spider Lake, this attractive house for $375 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Nestled among north woods pines, this chalet-style lake home is a 4-season retreat. The privacy and tranquility of this home is a rare find for vacationers. House sits on 3 wooded acres on the shores of Ole Lake in Hayward. This crystal clear water lake is perfect for boating, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, and kayaking. This home offers 200 feet of private lake frontage. Because it is private, Ole Lake is "underfished." It's loaded with musky, northern pike, bass and pan fish. here is no public boat access to Ole Lake. Therefore, we provide our 23-ft pontoon boat exclusively for your use for a separate fee. Boat is not in the water between late October until some time in May. Also, if you wish to bring your own boat, there is easy public boat access to nearby lakes: Lost Land, Teal, Round, Spider, Lac Courte Oreilles, etc. Home is located 1/2 mile from Lost Land Lake Lodge, known for Hayward's best fish fry, where you can enjoy great food and drink with incredible views of Lost Land Lake. Lake home has 4 bedrooms. Upstairs bedroom has a Queen size bed, and the 2 bedrooms on the main floor also have Queen size beds. There is also a set of twin bunk beds in the finished area of the basement. Finally, there is a couch/fold down futon which can also be used as a bed. For your convenience, there is a full bath on each of the 3 levels. This property is connected to miles of trails for cross-country skiing, snowmobiles, ATVs, bicycles, etc. Ski and snowmobile straight from the yard. Located just 15 miles from downtown Hayward, this retreat offers the best combination of privacy and convenience. Perfect getaway for couples or families with children. No pets, please. Although we love dogs and have 3 of our own, we know how hard they can be on a house. This is a pet free/smoke free home. Our home includes WiFi and satellite TV. Bed linens are included. But, please bring your own towels. Modern kitchen equipped with refrigerator, oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, regular 8-10 cup coffee pot, plates, cups, mugs, eating utensils, basic cooking utensils such as spatulas, mixing spoons, etc. Kitchen also includes pots and pans. Outdoor fire pit and grill available for your pleasure. Our property is licensed as a Tourist Rooming House by the Sawyer County Dept. of Health & Human Services. License # MMKY-BGBHLJ

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. The private lake was very peaceful, and the setting couldn't be more ideal.
The home was beautiful and very comfortable. Being out on the pontoon and seeing the family of loons was great! A couple of us were also lucky enough to see the otters one quiet morning. Kevin and Julie made everything easy, and this is a must stay!

This place is beautiful. Quiet. Relaxing. Not too far from town. There are several bars/grilles close by. The lake was quiet. We only saw 2 other people on the lake over the 4 days we were there. Our party were beginner fishers so we didn't catch anything major, but there are notable fish in the lake.
The property manager Kevin was extremely helpful. He gave us several recommendations for places to eat, see, etc. Very accommodating.
Overall our party was happy with our stay. We definitely would recommend this place.

We were only able to stay three nights, but managed to fill it with many fun times. The cabin and property were immaculate, beds were comfortable. You definitely are secluded at this property and things would be totally peaceful except there is a new cabin being constructed next door. Nothing that was too terrible though. Lake was very nice for swimming. We didn't have much luck with the fishing, but we're mainly fishing from the dock (only took pontoon out once). Firepit area in the woods was very nice, and the stars at night were so cool to see versus what you see back in the city. Communication with the owners was very good. Would definitely rent from them again!

We loved our stay. The house was extremely comfortable - from the layout to the furniture/beds to the beautiful outdoor surroundings. The communal areas (kitchen, great room, etc) were perfect when we were all together as a family-- while the 3 floors of bedrooms & bathrooms gave everyone space to themselves.

The house was amazing and Kevin and Julie were great hosts. We appreciate the attention to detail of the house. The house was just right for my wife, my 3 sons and their families. Plenty of room and privacy, but common areas able to accommodate meals and game nights. The outside areas were spacious and well maintained. It was nice to be able to be outside without the bugs being too much.

Beautiful cabin! Set in a private lot, with all the amenities you need. Kevin and Julie were VERY responsive and helped with any questions we had about the cabin or surrounding area.. Great Fish Fry at Lost Land Lake Lodge! We had 6 adults and 2 kids under the age of 9 and we all had plenty of room to relax. We also found some nice deep areas in the lake to cool off and swim.

Beautiful home & setting
This home is beautiful, has a perfect patio with a grassy area, perfect for family fun. The house was immaculate and comfortable. The lake is perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing.

Family Time
We loved quiet, peaceful Lake Ole. The pontoon , john boat, and canoe kept everyone busy. The kids loved fishing and swimming.. Beautiful house...plenty of room..loved all the taxidermy. We would highly recommend this great property for a family vacation..

We absolutely loved our stay here at this beautiful cabin! The inside is so clean and plenty of space for cooking in the kitchen. Such comfy beds and
the water pressure was superb. Had a great selection of games for us to play on the day it rained. Great bonfire area too!! Had a canoe and row boat with troller and a pontoon right on-site to use. Caught beautiful Northerns on the boat and the kids caught blue gills off the dock. Two loons were regulars and a mama duck with her ducklings graced us a few times with their presence. One of our favorites was the friendly black squirrel that came up to the door in the morning. Private, calm, serene, and beautiful! Will be back:)

Great cabin for a snowmobile trip
It was really a wonderful place to stay on a long weekend snowmobile trip with friends. Centralized location for trail access. Very clean and well kept. Kevin reached out to make sure my stay was going well. I really just can’t say enough about good this cabin was. We will be back for sure. The taxidermy mounts are fantastic too!

Another great weekend!
Thank you Kevin & Julie for another great retreat spot for our girls skiing and snowshoeing weekend!!! The property is amazing! Plenty of space for relaxing, quite time to read, play games and enjoying a cracking fire. We were able to head to the lake at anytime to ski and snowshoe.

A perfect weekend!
This is our second visit to Julie's and Kevin's beautiful cabin, and we'll certainly return. This stay was in mid-January which is a great time to be in the Hayward area. We are thinking of coming back in the Fall to enjoy the colors in the area and the cabin again. The cabin is beautifully decorated and furnished........the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Thanks so much to Julie and Kevin!!

Best cabin in all of Wisconsin/Minnesota
We booked this cabin for a family getaway in the fall and it was beyond perfect. The lake had beautiful fall colours, the sky was perfect for star gazing, walmart and hayward were nearby. The kitchen is well stocked. The owner was very responsive. The taxidermy pieces on the property are gorgeous. I have never seen a cabin as beautiful and well-maintained as this one. I strongly recommend this property for a stay.
