Aparthotel Flora

Location was perfect - just a very short walk to the oceanside. The property was clean and provided most of what we needed. We had booked two rooms with kitchens but noticed for example that one room had a frying pan, but the other one didn't. So we had to share, which wasn't an issue. As I stayed at this hotel in July 2026, details are a bit fuzzy but overall, the experience was good. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was a good size for my family (me and my husband in one room and my sister-in- law, mother in law and her 2.5 year old son in another room). I would come back and stay here again even though it was a tad expensive, but I guess all hotels and accommodation in Croatia are. It would have been nice if the hotel provided some towels for the beach but not sure that that is the custom in Europe though it is in most hotels in Asia. Just a note which some of the other travellers mentioned as well - we had to book our spot early at the beach or it would get filled up pretty fast with the other beachgoers. Needless to say at this time of year, the beach was packed. But we would return again as the Croatian seaside is just so beautiful!

I just had one swimsuit that went missing during my stay at this hotel and I don't think I misplaced it. So not sure what happened there but anyway, it didn't bother me too much. Other valuables like money, wallets, laptops were safe in the room. Other than that, nothing else I can complain about!

The hotel is perfectly located a few steps from the beach, it isn’t too big so you feel comfortable, it has a nice good atmosphere all over, the staff is very friendly, the apartments are great, to cook simple meals is ok. If you can book an upper floor apartment to have more view. The breakfast is perfect had a bit of everything, only missing thing could be a good coffee machine. We had a wonderful relaxing stay here, so much we decided to add more nights and had a 5th floor apartment very well worth it! Beautiful view!

The hotel is well located with easy access to the beach and local shops and restaurants. The room was spacious with a decent sized balcony and sea view. The rooms that made up the apartment were comfortable.

To be honest, based on reading previous reviews online I had expected more from Aparthotel Flora. Perhaps we found the team tired half way through the season... The kitchen in the apartment was very small and hard to prepare food in. There were kitchen appliances in cupboards all around the apartment, including an unplugged microwave in a cupboard in the living room - which had to dug out, and plugged in. The fridge was very small and was hard to close. There was only one A/c vent into the living room, none in the bedroom, leaving it very warm at bedtime. The overall A/c temperature seemed to be controlled centrally. You couldn't drop the temperature below 21C it seemed. On our first day we went out at 11am and returned after 3pm and found that no towels had been changed, nor had the room been cleaned. I think a sign for the door alerting hotel staff that you're out and the room is ready to be cleaned would have been useful. On the first night we couldn't figure out the A/c thermostat and we had an appliance beeping in our kitchen. I went down to speak to the man in Reception who helpfully came up to our room, only to tell us the temperature couldn't be changed and that we must imagining the noise as he had never come across such a problem before! The pool is basically a plunge pool, very small. It had a big green ring around the wall which was a bit off-putting, although it was in fact very clean. I didn't like the fact that breakfast was extra - €15 per person with no discount for a child of 9 years old. The nightly tariff was already high. I personally think the child's tariff should have been lower and perhaps it should be rolled into the overall room tariff. I don't like to moan but given the high and, in our view slightly overinflated reviews online, and the high cost of accommodation at Aparthotel Flora our experience did not live up to our expectations.
