Walking distance to local restaurants, bars, shopping including the shady grove, Chuy's, Gibson's bar, black sheep lounge, green mesquite, Billy's bbq, Thom's grocery, bluebonnet market, and the new PICNIC food trailer park. Take a jog on Austin's lady bird lake trail, hike the Barton creek greenbelt, or take a cool dip in the famous Barton spring pool...Located all with 2-5 blocks from the home. The heart of downtown (6th and congress) is 2.4 miles or a 40 minute walk, 5 min cab ride or 11 minute bus ride. Local bus service is a 8-10 minute walk from the house. Airport is a 15-25 minute drive. Entertainment 4 lcd television: 2 tv's - direct tv cable in living rooms 2 tv's - master bedroom - local stations and netflix moviess Wifi throughout. Books Games Other perks: 2 washers and dryers Ample towels and linens provided. 4 dedicated parking spots. Street parking also available. Special note - This is not a party compound. This property is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and we are not able to accommodate groups whose main intention is to have loud celebrations. The Zilker neighborhood is absolutely in the heart of everything Austin. The house is close to parks, Burton Springs and tons of great restaurants and event locations. Quiet and safe neighborhood. The house is charming with great surroundings.

Great location, unfortunately the air conditioning didn’t work in one of the units and could not be fixed during our stay. It was warm and uncomfortable. The cabinets in the kitchen were very hard to open I needed some fixing and there was not a lot of places to put your clothing in a few of the rooms. But the area was very nice close to everything and a good place for Multiple families.

Excellent Large Group Home
Myself and my party of 12 were in town for a bachelor and this home was perfect. Extremely clean, plenty of towels and linens, and most importantly plenty of beds. We had plenty of room to spread out and get ready to go out every night. Sally is an amazing host and I highly recommend staying here.

We had a great time at the house. It is conveniently located. Everything was as advertised and we would recommend to others in future. The homeowner is also very responsive and accommodating.

Absolutely brilliant location for cousin meet up weekend in Austin. We came from the London, California, Texas and Chicago,to be together and had an lovely time at the Big Zilker House(s), There was so much to do within walking distance, including Barton Springs Pool, TownLake Trail, Barton Creek Greenbelt, Umlaf Gardens, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Alamo Drafthouse (movies, bowling and karaoke) Loads of Restaurants and Food Trailers.
The house is well decorated, well maintained and has great amenities. The neighborhood is one that anyone would love to live in, and certainly vacation in. We felt super lucky to reserve this property and highly recommend it to all.

Beautifully designed home. We stayed here with our large family for Thanksgiving. We loved the open area upstairs- so unique and all the big windows and the tree's that line the creek. The location can not be beat. It's close to everything and offers something for everyone, weather you are a exercise junkie or a food, beer or wine connoisseur you will be please with the location!

We loved all of the private tree-lined balcony's and patios that backed up to a creek. Sally (The property owner) has great communication and answered all of our question for a very easy seamless arrival. The house is in such a great location! I would absolutely recommend this house and stay again!

This was the perfect property for our group. We had 5 couples meeting up in Austin for a week of fun. The property was great, as you are really getting 2 houses for the price of 1. The late nighters took one house and those that wanted to get to bed early took the other house. It was so nice!
The entire property is beautiful and comfortable, with many nice touches that made us feel right at home. The location is excellent and close to everything! Its a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Austin!
