Ocean City Return
After about 45 years, my wife and I returned to the beach where she spent many years in her youth. We had our daughter and her 3 year old son with us. The week was perfect and the home was everything we wanted it to be. It was a fabulous return for my wife and it was my grandson’s introduction to the beach and the ocean and we had a ball!

Property was perfect for us. Close enough to the beach access and everything else we did. We were worried about parking, given there is only one space, but we were able to park out front the entire time. We used both front and rear decks and the grill was a bonus. Well worth the price.

Had a very nice time here
This was a cute and comfortable place. It was a little compact, but it served all of our purposes! The living room had comfortable couches and was open, the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the front deck in the morning and evenings and the back deck for lunch and dinner.
We enjoyed being just a short 2 block walk to the beach.
Overall, we had a very nice time here.

Perfect size and location
We thought the size was perfect with enough room for everyone but small enough to facilitate good conversations. Kitchen was well equipped. On-site laundry was good since we had 2 small children. It was nice having a deck at either end of the unit so you could pick which was best based on time of day. Having a grill was a very nice feature. The beach is very close, a short walk without having to cross any major roads. Communication with the owner was excellent. Everything was clean and working when we arrived.

Best location, great stay again
This was our second time staying at this property. Perfect size and layout for our family (two parents, three kids aged 4 - 9) and a very convenient location -- quick walk to beautiful beach. We love the South End of OC because it is quieter and less crowded than the Boardwalk/Downtown area, making for plenty of space to spread out at the beach and nice walking to 55th Street for sticky buns in the morning and ice cream in the evening. Very easy drive up to the Boardwalk and Downtown neighborhoods for fun family time at Gillian's Wonderland Pier, Hoy's 5&10 and more. Quick drive up to Acme grocery store as well.
Tom is a great owner/host, available by text if/when needed, always clear and courteous communication. We look forward to enjoying many more summers in Ocean City!

Love the Quiet of the South End
This property was just perfect for our family of four (2 children 8 and 4).We received an email the day before check in regarding the check in process. Check in could not have been easier. Our first impression...clean and just the right size. Let's be honest. Most people are not going to be spending that much time in doors anyway so to us as long as it is clean and functional we are happy. I did see in another review that updates could be made and that is true, but not necessary. I think the price was comparable to other properties that we looked at. The kitchen was spacious enough and included everything you could imagine for your cooking needs, and we do cook when we rent. We even used the waffle iron one morning! The bathrooms are small, but clean and were just right for our needs. Having the outside shower was wonderful! Our children used them when coming back from the beach, which made life much easier. The toilet in the hall bath is a bit tricky, however. We found that you need to really push down hard on the handle and hold it down for a while in order for it to flush well. Our daughters shared the one room with the twin beds and they loved it! There were even tons of books in there for them to read, which was nice. The bed is very high in the room with the full bed so just be aware if you have someone staying with you that has trouble getting on a high bed. My parents stayed one night and we let them use the master bedroom for that reason. Overall the beds were all comfortable to us. I do wish that there was some kind of shade over the window in the master on the door that leads to the deck as the light does come in in the morning. We just hung a blanket over it to help block out the sun and that worked for us. The living room was very cozy and relaxing. We utilized the 2 couches, which were comfortable to watch movies on. We did eat outside on the back porch, which was very nice. It would be nice if the grill were on that deck, but there is no room for it. It didn't bother us that we had to grill on the front deck and bring things to the other deck. It was nice to have a grill. We didn't sit on the front deck during the day time as that deck gets hit with lots of sun and there is no shade. The door to the laundry room is very hard to open. Need to give a very hard push to open and a hard pull to close, but washer and dryer worked fine. Very quick walk to the beach! Nice having badges included. Would rent again.

Ocean City is great, Condo is underwhelming
I hate doing reviews, but I know I use them a lot when picking my rentals, so wanted to try to give a fair picture. The location is good, just a few block to the beach (1 more north if you want lifeguards). There is not much you can walk to. Its about 10 mins to walk to ice cream or the 1-2 restaurants in the area. We drove a lot more than at previous beach vacations. Parking can be a little challenging, but really not that bad. At the same time, its quiet and residential which was nice. Overall, the condo could use some updating. Space is small, but definitely enough for a small family. Balconies were nice, but its a little weird that the grill is at one end and you need to walk all the way to the back of the house through the bedroom to eat. This is kind of described, but not necessarily clear. Overall, I felt the price to be a little high for the state of the unit. Carpet is cheap, pre-cleaning felt sub par. I'm not a clean freak, but overall, we were underwhelmed. There were just too many quirks for the price. We did really enjoy the beach and Ocean City in general and owner was very responsive. Some recommendations would be to add recycling, have more of a welcome sheet that explains how things work, and trim back the foliage so that you are not brushing up against it when doing laundry. Also since the laundry is so far away, a laundry basket would be a nice touch. I would also reduce the number of plates/cups. This would make sure they get used regularly so that they stay clean. I would also touch base with the cleaning service to make sure they are tending to everything - there were a lot of misses. I would also place more emphasis on the master bedroom - that is usually where the people paying stay and it felt the most dowdy. It also has no curtain on the door so its pretty bright in the morning. And to end on a high note, great water pressure and the outdoor shower was nice.

Great place for family to spend week at the beach
We enjoyed our stay at Tom's property. He was courteous, informative and accessible via text message if needed too. Easy check-in/check-out with lock box. Everything was as advertised/expected -- clean, comfortable second floor unit within close walking distance to the beach in the quieter, residential south side of Ocean City. Kitchen equipped with all necessities (pots, pans, dishware etc.) for easy meal prep and nice sized dining table that comfortably accommodated our family (2 adults, 3 kids). Nice open floor plan for kitchen/dining/living room area. Two decks were nice to have as well -- one off the back/master bedroom (with high locks -- nice safety feature w/ small kids) and one overlooking West Ave., with a gas grill (which is also a nice perk, not typically available at rentals!) There's a dedicated washer/dryer for this unit in a shared ground level utility closet off the back of the house as well. Convenient walk down to 55th St. for ice cream, sticky buns and more too. Short drive up to boardwalk area.
We recommend this neighborhood and this rental in particular for any families looking for a nice, safe, comfortable and peaceful week away at the beach!

Great place!
We had 2 adult couples and a total of 3 children (one with special needs) and we had plenty of room. We chose to set up a cot in the kids’ room instead of using the sofa bed and it worked perfectly. We ate all meals at home and the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, glassware, pots, pans and utensils. The place was immaculately clean when we arrived and we were immediately comfortable. The front deck and back porch were great and the breeze on the second floor was wonderful! We actually turned off the AC and enjoyed the breeze all week long (in August!) The beach was an easy walk from the house and we usually walked to and from the beach twice a day. This was our first time renting in Ocean City, NJ, and our first experience using VRBO, so I was a little apprehensive. I had some questions, and Tom, the owner, was very responsive and personable. I would highly recommend this place for a family with children - or for anyone looking for a comfortable place at the south end of Ocean City.

More than expected
We just stayed here this past week. This was our first time in OC so we were unsure about the location. We have 2 children under 9. Needless to say this condo was incredible. The location was perfect, very close to the beach ( easy to get back and forth if needed) and a short ride to the rides. There was plenty of space for all of us ( 4 adults and 3 children). The amenities were perfect ( especially outside shower with hot /cold water ) and the condo was clean. The owner was very helpful with all my questions and I would definitely recommend this property!! Courtney

Great Vacation Stay!!
Perfect room for 5 adults. This was our family vacation, totaling 30 people and 6 different rentals, ours by far was one of the best. Great location, just a quick walk to the beach, the added beach tags were a welcome perk. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities that were listed...The best amenity of all which is rare to have with any apartment rental in ocean city was a gas bar-b-que on the deck, came in handy many times.
The owner also made us very welcome and was easy to contact with any questions.
This is definite a must be at rental when coming to Ocean City!
