Lovely guest house right next to the cave city. The rooms are clean and well kept, the garden and surroundings just beautiful. Best part in my opinion is the lovely owner who does everything to make you feel comfortable. He even called the marshrutka to pick me up directly in front of the house. I really enjoyed my short stay, highly recommended!

Very friendly host with lovely dog. Although no English spoken he made us feel very welcome. Guesthouse is only 5 minutes walk from the incredible Vadzia caves and transport was easy on Marshrutka. Breakfast was good beside the river which runs along the property. Vadzia restaurant also good option for dinner beside the river.
Room was a little dark and although shower was hot it didn't have a curtain or partition so bathroom was quite wet after use. It was not the owner's fault but electricity went off for a while after a storm.

We loved staying at sada guesthouse! The hosts are very welcome and accommodating. We were also able to order dinner and breakfast for a very reasonable price.
The room was very clean, cosy and warm even on a cold night.
The location is perfect, so close to the caves and with marshrutka drop off and pick up right at the house. The surroundings are beautiful, very relaxing garden by the river, short walk to the sulfur pools and a bit longer walk to the upper vardzia nunnery.
Great place to explore more of Vardzia than just the caves.
All was perfect for us.

Location: phenomenal for visiting Vardzia, it is literally 100m from the entrance. The guesthouse is on the riverfront, under some old trees facing the mountains. Owner Gela is extremely hospitable (as is a custom in Georgia), ready to provide you with stories of local lore, food and home wine (for which he will charge city prices 😉) We spent a pleasant evening drinking wine, eating Khachapuri and watching the sun set over the mountains.
The guesthouse is VERY rustic, bordering on camp-like. Rooms are small, dark, cold, and furnishing is extremely basic. Comforts are minimal at best, fact that I felt was not reflected in the price. As long as you are ready for a camping-style stay on your way to or from Vardzia, with a gregarious owner and plenty of Georgian hospitality on the bank of river Kura, you will be fine here.
