Our team wears new masks, gloves and shoes covers each time they enter home to prepare it for a new stay. We clean and disinfect all hard surfaces and high-touch items such as appliance handles, light switches, door knobs, remote controls, etc. We also clean and disinfect all dishes/glassware, silverware, bedding, towels and other linens as well as tubs and toilets. Meredith Lodging has added the extra measure of a pre-check-in inspection to make sure all of our cleaning and disinfecting procedures are complete and to our standard before you arrive. Once it passes inspection, your home sits empty until you arrive for your contact-free check-in. Additionally, if your home features a private hot tub, rest assured it is disinfected, treated and cleaned thoroughly after each departure so that you and your guests can enjoy it with peace of mind during your stay.

Nice quiet location, at least during the off season. Biggest problem was heating the back bedroom and there should be at least one flashlight in case of emergency. Overall clean and sanitary however, the dust bunnies under the couch and in the corners were a bit much. We would stay there again.

We will absolutely be back! The house was cute and had what we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. The kids loved playing in the large yard, fishing off the dock, and our dog LOVED swimming.

Somethings needed updating or were broken upon arrival including a noisy bathroom fan, blinds, and two of four recliners. Contacted Meredith Lodging management about recliners upon arrival and they said maintenance would be over. They never arrived during two day stay. Nalso of note no basic pantry supplies beyond salt and pepper.
So bring your own coffee, oil etc. Overall lovely stay, and impressed by view and cleaning crew not as much by Meredith Lodging maintaining the property.

The home’s location was great. It looked updated - freshly painted and new flooring.
However the windows looking out to the lake were filthy, the blinds were in poor condition, there was a screen missing in one upstairs bedroom which was unsafe, and the stairway lacked a handrail all down the steps.
The kitchen lacked some usually supplied items in a vacation rental. The BBQ in the picture was a Webber kettle but actually was a very old rusty item and full of old used briquettes and ashes. The pictures showed a table & 4 chairs on the deck but there were only three chairs and 2 broken ones by the garbage cans. The deck gets full sun and an umbrella table would make it much more pleasant.
All these things were disappointing.
The beds & bathrooms were clean and it was vacuumed. We had a good time but the property could really use some work.

Stayed here with family and friends for 4 nights.
Pros: The location and view are amazing. We loved having a dock and easy access to the lake! The house was relatively clean and well-stocked with most of what we needed. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and a nice big living area. Overall, we had a fabulous time.
Cons: The only reason we might look to book somewhere else before staying here again was the lack of adequate seating on the deck. There were 4 plastic chairs that felt flimsy at best (and we would actually carry out the dining room chairs to sit on). With such a great view and nice deck, it would have been nice to be able to sit outside on a comfortable patio set to enjoy it. It had very few cleaning supplies for us to use (we had to purchase cleaning wipes to clean the bird crap off the patio table). Lastly, there was one couch that may have come from a home with cats. Several of us had allergic reactions (sneezing, itching, watery eyes) after sitting on it. As long as I didn't sit on it, I was fine.

Overall it's a decent property. But it could have been great. There were a lot of small little maintenance issues and a lot of small things that could very easily be upgraded in the home. The kitchen is well stocked but there's only one frying pan. All of the knives are incredibly dull. There's only three spoons in a house for 10 people. Little things like that that could have been so much better. But the home does have a beautiful view of the lake and a nice little dock with a boat house.

My hope for the entire neighborhood is that the State puts an actual traffic light at the intersection for 101. That intersection would greatly benefit from a 4 way stop light.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of room for 10 people and right on the lake. The boat house was unusesable due to the water level but that was really no big deal. The kitchen was well stocked as were the linens and the bed was so nice I wish I had it at home. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your home.

Lake House
It was fine.
Just a few cons-
The main counch in the living room did not work all the time. The TV was dark and looked like it was going out. The garbage was half full when we arrived.
But we had a nice stay. Thank you

Check-in time was at 4pm, we arrived at 6pm and the house was not clean at all; trash all over the front lawn, garbage bin not collected and full with bags all around (I wish I could upload the photos). Inside the house, floor was full of sand, beds sheets were not replaced and taken away, human and animal hair still stuck on those sheets. No toilet paper left and no trash bags. We had to call management and they sent over a cleaning team with 3 ladies to clean inside out for 2.5 hours. We had to seat outside in the cold for 3 hours before they done cleaning it. This is outrageous especially during the pandemic and we have kids. We were so disappointed at first but at least after the cleaning, we were able to enjoy the house with nice beautiful view and big backyard for the kid to hunt eggs. I would expect a refund at least on the cleaning fees they collected.

We had already driven the 5 hour drive there and ended up waiting in a park until we had access to the house. Upon arrival, we were taken away by the view of the lake. It was beautiful. We noticed right away that the outside garbage was full. I contacted the company and they came the next day an emptied it for us, which I appreciated. We also found a couple red solo cups thrown about the yard. Upon entering the house, we immediately noticed that it wasn't exactly clean. There was garbage (chip bags and food wrappers) under the couch and chairs in the living room, the big bay window overlooking the lake had gross sticky handprints slid down it, likely from kids that were there previously. There were also dog hair tumbleweeds floating around the livingroom floor (we left our dogs with a pet sitter so not from us). We also found other people's underwear and socks in the dresser. Most of the furniture in the living room was broken. The reclining chairs don't recline. Only one of the two couch recliners worked and the other one was broken and in the reclined position when we arrived, and wouldn't go back down. As far as the amenities, the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, silverware etc. plenty of blankets, towels etc. There was a beautiful sun deck with a table in the back, but only two plastic patio chairs were there, and one was broken and unusable, so we had one chair. Since we booked for a party of 9, I would have liked to have had enough chairs for at least a few of us to be able to sit outside, especially since the photos show at least 4. I was able to text the management company, Meredith Properties, and ask tell them about the chair. They offered to send someone over to "try and repair it" but it wasn't repairable so I said not to worry about it. They didn't offer to bring us any other chairs. Overall, like I said, it was a nice trip, just not exactly 100% what was expected, or as promised. With being in a pandemic, I really would have liked to have the cleaning done more thoroughly.

Review
Overall it was a nice getaway. 3 of the beds were dirty with dark hairs and crumbs in the sheets. The stairs were filthy and have not been cleaned in a long time. None of the couch recliners work. And no salt or pepper or any kind of condiments or seasoning in the house. The tv volume didn’t work until we finally got a guy to come out and fix it. The house is nice and roomy once we cleaned it, we liked it. The views are fantastic.
