This home has stone stairs off the deck leading straight down to the beach. This provides access to miles of beach where guests can venture 5 miles north to the Newport Jetty, 1 mile south to Ona Beach, or continue south all the way to Seal Rock at lower tides. There also is easy beach access nearby at Lost Creek State Park.

Great rebuilt house. Location was quiet and and tucked back on a private driveway - this really is the exceptional hidden away part. Views were awesome. The private beach access and less populated part of the coast were excellent. We will definitely consider coming back to this one. Great place overall. I always appreciate when these reviews and real about stuff so here goes... There were some ants and a bit of dog hair, but those were not an issue for us. You have to wash the dishes yourself, but again, we don't mind doing that. The deck and steps outside will likely need some work soon. The garbage was not picked up when we came and the top was left open for some crows to spread it around. I cleaned it up, closed it, and put a rock on it. Turning at the driveway can sneak up on you as it's just a house number sign. I got honked at by some impatient folks who had trouble with the idea that I didn't take a right angle turn at 55 mph.

Renting a beach front cabin in December probably wasn't the best idea, especially for the price we could have rented a hotel room on Nye beach for half the price. Some of the amenities in the kitchen could be upgraded, for example the toaster only toast bread on one side so you need to do it twice, the coffee maker is kind of a cheap one, if you make too big of a pot the grounds end up in the pot. The refrigerator is nice I looked new worked great. The beach access is not for anyone with any physical limitations, it's very steep and slippery when wet. I am 5'7" 130 lb and the shower stall was very cramped for me, not sure how somebody who is over 6 ft tall could use it. It has a nice wood burning stove which if you come in the fall or winter you will need, it heating the cabin up very quickly. The town of Newport is only 7 to 10 minutes away there's a lot to do there. It's great that it's pet friendly, our dog really enjoyed the beach which wasn't crowded at all at this time of year so she could run loose. Overall we enjoyed our stay there just thought it was a little overpriced for what you get.
