Nine of us stayed at Gary's amazing Princeville home for 10 days. We are a family hailing from Melbourne Austraila, Los Angeles, CA, USA and Cape Cod, MA USA. Two seniors, 5 adults in their 30s and 40s and two little ones aged 5 and 2.
The house was heavenly. It was better than the VRBO descriptions and pictures reveal. We loved it. The location was ideal - we vistied 6 different beaches, we walked the Princeville trails, we drove all around the lovely Island.
Gary was quick to answer all questions. He could not have been more accomodating.
We all hope to come back again soon.

Gary opened up his home and hospitality as a host was superb. He was able to guide us on places to eat and companies to use for excursions.
It was a very warm and inviting house and the view from his upstairs balcony was amazing every morning.

Absolutely beautiful house with amazing views. Tons of space for our family of 6. Great location and just like the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked with pans that actually were non-stick! Highly recommend!

We loved the house. We especially liked the extra refrigerator in the casita to store the extra food and beverages. Lucky for us, the trade winds were blowing and cooled the house. We would stay there again.

This house is gorgeous. I will say it does not have air conditioning and that is typically not a problem if the trade winds are blowing. During our stay the trade winds were not blowing very hard, so the house was warm, but we made it work. Can't say enough about how perfect this house was for our family and friends. There were 7 of us and we fit perfectly.
The location is fantastic. A very short walk to the Hanalei Bay Resort which has a great restaurant and bar area. We also went to the 1 Hotel which is gorgeous. A great beach just steps away too. Short drives to other great beaches, botanical garden, plantation train and ATV ride into where they filed Jurassic Park. So many things to do. The outdoor shower was great for hosing off the sand. No bugs anywhere and cute geckos and birds galore. The backyard is gorgeous and you can get there from most of the downstairs bedrooms.
Would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely time we had! The bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable, it was so great having a downstairs space for a family to have a kitchenette on their own with a young child. The kitchen and dining was spacious, but truly the most amazing part was the view from the lanai. We spent a great deal of time out there! The garage has lots of supplies for you to use at the beach. We look forward to coming again someday soon.

We stayed for almost a week during our time in Kauai, we loved this home for our family! The separate rooms, two kitchens and balcony was so nice having space for everyone to relax. Close to beaches and most activities are within an hour of the house!

We came to Kauai with 3 family generations to celebrate several events. This home was the perfect location for us! It was spotless, the check in process extremely simple. We had all the beach toys we needed. The home was large enough that we all had our own space when we needed it. We all agreed we would stay here again without hesitation!

Mere words can’t describe how perfect this home was for family of 7 while visiting Kauai for a week.
Communicating with the property mgr was easy. Not only was he always quick to respond but frequently anticipated our questions and answered them before we even asked. He checked in with us during our stay to make sure all was going well (which it was.)
The rooms are very large and the beds super comfy. There are windows everywhere that look out onto the most glorious views of the island and, when open, they let the trade winds thru which keeps the house cool.
The house was very clean. There are 2 kitchens (!) in the house with plenty of cooking supplies and a dishwasher. What a treat not having to hand wash the dishes after every meal!
The guest book for the house was clear and easy to understand the house rules and it included maps for easy walks to nearby beaches and a lot of other helpful info. There was snorkel equipment, a boogie board and bikes to use, too!
Last, and certainly not least, the host allowed us to have our wedding in the backyard. It isn’t a huge backyard but it’s a lovely lush and green one and our wedding was just our family of 7 so the backyard was the perfect size for it.
I can’t say enough good things about this house. It’s beautiful, it’s big, it’s in a gorgeous area, the area is super quiet, etc. it was incredibly peaceful there. I cannot wait to one day rent this beautiful home again!

Really well laid out property with plenty of places to both gather and retreat to privacy. This was perfect for an extended family. The kitchens(s) are great and the availability of beach equipment makes it a great value. The host was super easy to work with and communicated very well. The location was excellent because you can walk to some of the difficult to park at beaches. Would definitely rent again

gorgeous house and view
Our stay in Princeville was amazing. The views of Wai'ale'ale from the lanai were amazing. Convenient access to shops, beaches, snorkeling, restaurants. House had everything needed for great days at the beach and adventures like coolers, chairs, boogie boards, SUP, bikes. Was great! We had the tradewinds and a few nice rains to cool things down, but there were a few days that we wished we had AC.

Great house - beautiful views!!
We stayed here with 4 couples (family). Plenty of room to spread out, plenty of bathrooms. The second kitchen was a nice touch, but the one upstairs is large enough we didn't even use the smaller one. Kitchen fully stocked, plenty of toliet paper, garbage bags, beach towels, bath towels, etc...the garage is stocked with beach goodies - boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, toys for kids, etc...great location in Princeville with amazing views from the second level. We had a great time and would absolutely stay here again. Thx Gary!!!

Family Celebration
Such a lovely home. More than sufficient space for our 10 day visit!! The home was clean, furnishings were so nice from the beds to the dining chairs. All so comfy and helped us feel right at home!! There was an amazing selection of beach toys as well as bikes that we all enjoyed. So close to the beach, but private at the same time. The location was spot on!! With two separate kitchens, it gave us the opportunity to spread out the food too…such a luxury on vacation.
We’ve been coming to the islands for the past 10+ years… this is by far our most favorite place we’ve stayed. Two thumbs up for this amazing home!! Another note.. the host went above and beyond checking to see we had all we needed!! High marks in all areas!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing home with fantastic views!
Amazing home and location. This was a great home for our group of ten, plenty of room for adults and kiddos to spread out. The views from the house, and especially from the upstairs lanai, are spectacular. This home is well stocked and has everything and more you could need. Gary is an amazing host, quick to communicate and respond to any questions. I would highly recommend staying at this home (I have stayed at a few homes in this area and this house is my favorite.) I look forward to staying here again!

Loved the home - such beautiful views. Everything we needed was provided. Had an excellent time celebrating my 60th Birthday with my family. There was one small issue - the wifi connection was not stable - but on the other hand it forced my family to put down their devices and enjoy the island!!

Gorgeous home in Princeville!
This home is so lovely and the location is wonderful! Gary couldn’t have been more accommodating to rent from. He was incredibly prompt in responding to any questions, he offered terrific suggestions of things to do.
The house is well equipped with towels, chairs, bikes and beach toys. It is a stunning area to ride around! We can’t think of anywhere better to turn 60! We had five couples and we all comfortably had more than enough space. Great house for family getaways. Thank you Gary for such a great spot!

Great stay at Lani Hanalei!
We really enjoyed our stay at Lani Hanalei. It was perfect for our large group. We have stayed at a lot of different homes in Princeville, and while they've all been great, Lani Hanalei was above the rest. Gary called on our first day to make sure everything was going well and had left a welcome gift. Shampoo, conditioner and laundry detergent were provided which makes a difference for a long stay. There were so many toys and gear to bring to the beach. My husband could take one of the bikes for a ride every morning to check the surf in the bay. The kitchen was fully stocked. There were plenty of different pots and pans, containers for leftovers, and anything else to make preparing food easy. To top it all off we had a decent amount of rain during our stay and had a perfect view of all the waterfalls on the mountain!

Perfect for large family, great location, quality accommodiations.
A wonderful property to stay at for groups of families or large extended families. 5 bedrooms (plus one is more of a suite with a sofa bed in an adjacent room). 3 have their own bathroom. Large kitchen dining area and living room with gorgeous view of the mountains to entrance you as you eat breakfast. Nice quality bedding and towels, as well as beach towels. There is a large washer and dryer to clean the linens, as well as your own clothes so you don't need to pack as much.
Included is access to and use of equipment in the garage, such as bicycles, 4+ boogie boards, 4 beach umbrellas, an ice chest, and some snorkeling equipment, which facilitate making a spur of the moment run to any of the nearby beaches.
Kitchen has a many good quality pots and pans and silverware. There are a few ingredients left over from prior guests, such as salt, olive oil, vinegar, ketchup, dressings, mayo, etc. A shopping center with grocery store is just about a mile away.
We were there in August, so it was hot. The house has no AC, so if you have any elderly people who are sensitive, you might want to think twice. All windows have screens so you can get ventilation. Mosquitos come in the evening. Follow the directions in the house manual, which explain how to keep the breeze blowing through the home (open some windows, keep others closed, to direct breeze through the home).
The north side of the island has good access to many small and distinctive beaches within 15 minutes drive. Some are as close as a 20 minute leisurely walk.
For snorkeling, I recommend Hideaways Beach (Pali Ke Kua). Look it up. The climb is challenging at points, but not as scary as some describe it to be. Few people go there and so its very easy to see a large variety and quantity of fish pretty close to shore. My bro in law saw 2 sea turtles!! Always respect nature's power and don't leave your common sense behind. Stay away from rocky shores to the west.

Fabulous Vacation
This house was the perfect place for our family. We had our kids, grandkids, & great grandkids. We all loved this place & the area. The house is very clean & very will equipped with everything we needed. The furniture is nice & very well cared for. The whole family loved sitting on the front porch & rocking in the rocking chairs. At night we sat out on the lani & enjoyed visiting with our grandkids. The neighborhood is beautiful. And the views we had of the mountains & waterfalls were spectacular. The backyard was so fun for the grandkids looking for Geckos. We couldn’t of asked fo a better location. Within waking distance to the Happy Talk Restaurant which has live music every night & a place to watch the gorgeous sunset. Within walking distance to the beach, Queen’s Bath & Hideway Beach. My husband loved playing on the beautiful Princeville Maka Golf course which is located close to the house. Gary was very attentive in making sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time here & would love to come back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family.

Waterfalls, rainbows, and mai tais, oh my!
Situated in the middle of Princeville splendor, this property has it all. Our family met for a reunion and it accommodated all of us comfortably and had a whole lot of extras to boot. We had our choice of activities from surfing, SUPing, snorkeling, and boogie boarding all stored in the garage. Everything you need for a beach day is supplied including chairs, life vests, plenty of towels, a cooler, and more. The kitchen is fully equipped which allowed us to have family meals with views of waterfalls and rainbows. We had little ones in our party and there were plenty of toys to keep them occupied. We were able to walk to pristine beaches and enjoyed happy hour a few nights at the Hanalei Bay Resort. When we had questions, the host was readily available with answers. I would definitely stay here again.
