My experience in Madrid turned out to be disappointing through no fault of the hostel. What actually made it a pleasant experience were the two wonderful women who work there, Narvis and Maria. We had interesting conversations and have even shared some pictures. When I think of my trip to Madrid, I will always think of them.
Madrid is huge and expensive. As a result, it is hard to find a convenient and affordable hotel/hostel, especially in August.

Located close to the center. Bus line 001 goes near - which is a massive plus cause it’s FREE. Room was small, but I would say that was expected. Everyone was very friendly. Bed was comfortable.
No one from the staff spoke English. They were very nice and friendly people, but it was a bit of a challenge.
The shower was VERY SMALL. Like you can’t even bend to the wash your feet properly.
There was barely any natural light.

Good location, underground, shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet neighbourhood. Staff really helpful and friendly.
Single room was way too small only good for a short stay. Paper-thin walls. A bit pricey.
