About this house rental
Nestled in Venus Bay, this attractive house for $180 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Tucked away at the ‘Paris end’ of Venus Bay’s First Estate, Far View offers a peace and stillness that is hard to find in the busy modern world. Sweeping views across the paddocks are framed by ancient pines and ocean dunes as cares dissolve with the casual tumble of the windmills on the horizon and the distant rumble of the surf. Far View is located within easy walking distance to shops, café and beaches. Beach 1 is a 15 minute walk across a nearby track over the dunes. Stunning unobstructed 180 degree views over farmland, the Strzelecki Ranges, Bald Hill wind farms and out to Wilsons Prom. The recently renovated house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a separate renovated 1960's caravan, which contains a double bed and bathroom which can also be made available. You will need to let us know in advance as there will be an additional fee to cover cleaning costs. Can accommodate 8 guests on a request basis (extra charge is applicable). FREE WI-FI Including Apple TV, Kayo, Netflix, Stan, Prime Video, Binge and Disney +. Enjoy early and late check in/out at 12pm. Linen & Towels Supplied Pet Friendly. Dogs and cats welcomed inside the house. Property includes 10 sqm animal enclosure. Fully fenced yard. Fully Equipped Kitchen with dishwasher and coffee pod machine. This is a delightful house, clean, well equipped, and fantastic responsiveness from the owners. The separate caravan was perfect for our older teenager and we really appreciated how dog friendly it is. The views across the fields and or daily cow-watching were great too.

Great to be able to take the dogs with us for a short break. The animal enclosure off the side of the house gave us great comfort knowing the dogs were ok whilst we headed out. Great set up, comfortable and welcoming.

Perfect short stay
As soon as we walked in we could see this house is well looked after . It had everything we needed and nice and close to the beach.
Wifi is a huge plus , next time we will bring our dog , Cat and Guinea pigs as the property is super secure .
It was a chilly weekend and the heating was fantastic .
The owners manual is high tech and easy to use .
Coffee machine was fantastic.

Nature at its best
Very comfortable home and very suitable for our dog too. Great location for those who love nature. Magnificent view of endless green, with peaceful cows and then windfarms on the horizon. Local wombats doing their thing. Watch for wombats and rabbits on the road! We were there in winter and the heating worked well. We enjoyed the off-peak experience of the area. No crowds to contend with. Make sure you go to Beach No.5, the most impressive view of all. Great food at nearby Riverview Hotel in Tarwin Lower. Bushwalkers (without dogs) should explore the wilderness of the Coastal Park.
Hosts prepared a detailed manual of local history, other info and handy hints; they were very responsive to any queries.

Had a glorious two day stay at Far View. This quaint home offered all we could’ve hoped for. Was spotless inside , was warm , comfortable, very well stocked, and secure for our puppy. Accomadtion was fantastic. Grear that linen was supplied, the house was cozy but you felt like you had space. Day beds where super comfty. Seen resident wombat a few times. wish we could have stayed longer, house in great condition.

Overall lovely place to stay but tv channels are a problem, you can only get about 3 stations that are watchable but it is in a great location

Gorgeous views
Wonderful communication with owners. House suited our family of 4 perfectly. (2 teenage boys). Small cute house but still allowing our boys their own privacy with a t.v in one of their rooms. We all really enjoyed the use of Stan and Netflix, as with the smoke haze we were stuck indoors for a few days. The local Wombat visited us a few nights which was fun. Beds very comfortable and kitchen and BBQ perfect for staying in to cook. The house is easy walking distance to town (shops) which we enjoyed doing every day. Thanks again Helen and Joseph for the use of your lovely house.

Lovely place to stay
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very well set up with everything you might need. Appreciated the fresh milk and coffee pods. The view is great, we spent a lot of time watching the wildlife. Enjoyed napping and reading on the day bed, lovely and shady on a hot day. Our two dogs were safely restrained in the fenced yard when we went swimming. They had their swim at Doyle’s road. Fish and chips on Sunday night was a great break from cooking. Love Venus Bay in general as a great place to get away from it all.

Fabulous Farview
Great location, quiet but also close to shops and beach. Clean and well stocked with everything needed for a wonderful stay. Joseph and Helen were an absolute pleasure to deal with from booking to departing. Property is well maintained, safe for dogs and children. Everything you need for a great getaway in Venus Bay. Kitchen is equiped with all the mod cons, all rooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean. Beds comfy and clean too :)

Delivers more than it promises
Great location with serene views. The accommodation would suit both families or a quiet getaway. Excellent facilities for a dog and or a cat, ours thoroughly enjoyed the place. The house is equipped with heaps of entertainment options, clean and comfortable. The owners were easy to contact and interact with. Mattress in master was hard but everything else was just great. Would book it again!

A beautifully presented home away from home.
The property was very much as described, with an absolutely lovely view across open land. We went in winter and found that the house warmed up very quickly and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Peaceful and relaxing stay
Thank you to the owners who have taken great care and consideration to ensure nothing was needed on our recent stay at Far View. What a delightful home with magnificent views. We did not even turn on the TV for the 3 nights we were there, as we couldn’t tear our gaze away from the magnificent view across the green paddocks full of cows.
The weather was a quite cold and rainy but we did not care as we were as warm as toast inside with reverse cycle air conditioners in every room and electric blankets on the beds kept us warm at night.
The house is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated and we wanted for nothing. A well-stocked kitchen with appliances meant we could cook all our meals and even bake a cake. The coffee machine was a welcome inclusion for the caffeine addicted and so thoughtful to have a carton of milk in the fridge for that all-important coffee and cup of tea when you first arrive.
The supply of games was fantastic (with some old favourites and new) as we spent our evenings happily the playing the board games provided.
The house was also perfect for our four legged babies. Our 2 dogs spent the weekend happily sniffing out all of the corners of the yard outside and I had peace of mind that the yard was fully secure with a fence all around and knew they couldn’t escape. A very relaxing holiday was had by all!!

What a delightful home with magnificent views, we didn’t even turn on the TV for the 3 nights we were there, as we couldn’t tear our gaze away from the lovely view across the green paddocks full of cows.

The house is also perfect for our four legged babies. Our 2 dogs loved exploring the fully secure and fenced yard, happily sniffing all of the corners for the elusive wombat that apparently comes to visit. Sadly there was no visit during our stay.
I highly recommend Far View and look forward to my next visit.

The house was neatly kept and clean . Fully equipped kitchen , comfortable beds , nice front view . We manage to catch some kangaroos hopping in the open field . Great owners who follow up with me on anything I need before my stay ! Highly recommend this house !

Perfect getaway
This house is the perfect little getaway with a fantastic location. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed every single one of them! Everything is very tidy and clean and it all looks recently renovated. The bathrooms are wide and spacious, and we didn't have any issues with the water depite the fact that there were 6 of us. I would definitely recommend staying here to everyone. It's the perfect nook for family and friends. Close to the beach too, if you dont mind walking on sand dunes!

Immaculately clean, spacious, modern and very well appointed holiday home in a peaceful neighbourhood. Superb deck and BBQ area with great view. Far View is an absolute gem. Easy access to the beach, a short drive to the shops and restaurants. Owners provided excellent service and pre-arrival information. Outstanding value .....we will definitely be returning.
