The room was clean spacious and the air-conditioning worked brilliantly with no noise. The staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was great. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was exceptional. They had great wines and even a pretty decent IPA. The golf course around is very interesting, a bit dry though but this summer has been exceptionally hot. The breakfast was also great with a good choice of foods including scrambled eggs and bacon.

Beautiful château and grounds with real presence and a special parkland setting.
The bed was comfortable, and dinner in the restaurant was very good, the kitchen clearly has talent.
Sadly the inside does not match the surroundings. The Regency styling tries too hard and misses the mark. Bedside lamps had frayed shades with loose threads and tape patching, and cracked candle sleeves.
The shower enclosure had visible mould and discoloured silicone, plus a gap between the screen and door that let water escape.
Bathroom privacy is poor. Air conditioning could not keep up, set to 21 degrees the room sat at 27, and the unit stopped at one point. Slippers were frayed. WiFi was barely usable.
Breakfast was well below five star, artificial juices, burned bacon, no fresh fruit, no proper coffee options like cappuccino or flat white.
