About this condo rental
Located in Princeville, this charming condo for $110 per night is a great option for your next break. Discounts available based on length of stay. Our Studio has ceramic tiled floors and a large porcelain tiled shower. All the ceiling areas have been filled with insulation and faced with 2-ply bamboo. Our studio is located at Sandpiper Village I. The Sandpiper grounds boast beautiful mature landscaping and a recently renovated pool complex with a large tile-bottomed pool plus a good size jacuzzi and two Webber gas grills. My studio is less than a minute walk to the pool. As an option, a Delonge 1,250 BTU free-standing AC unit is available at $12/day for a 3-6 night stay, or $10/day for a 7+ night stay. If you decide to make a reservation, please indicate if you would like the use of the AC unit for the period of your stay and I'll process the appropriate additional charge through VRBO. There is no cooktop or oven in the studio, however, there are Webber gas barbecue grills available for guests to use on a complimentary basis at the large pool complex, located less than a minute's walk from the unit. Hot meals prepared in this manner can either be enjoyed at the pool or taken back to the studio. The Princeville Resort is located on Kauai's North Shore where you are just minutes away from exploring her many wondrous attractions such as pristine, secluded beaches, the best Kauai has to offer. Great snorkeling, windsurfing, board surfing, or swimming are just minutes away as well. A hike on the Kalalau Trail along the Na Pali Coast reveals unparalleled vistas of ocean, mountains, waterfalls, and sheer cliffs that will stay with you forever. It was a nice studio, the complex is pretty with landscaping. Other guests were friendly, and the suite is great for one or two. The towels did have an old used smell though, and it was alright to wash plates and cutlery in the bathroom sink. Good location for North Shore. Was fun to watch heavy tropical showers from the lanai. Thanks for the great price. Wendy

The apt needs updated and cleaned.
There were only two towels and two wash clothes with no laundry facility. I tried to call for more towels and wash clothes but no one returned my call. We were there 11 days.

Great little spot. Splurge a little and get the a/c, it's worth it. The bed is comfy and it's very well located.
The place had some extras but could have used more, like a cooler, and dishtowels.
Would recommend!

The condo is in a great location, beautiful area and can walk to Hideaway Beach. The condo itself is comfortable and has everything you need. The host was available when I had difficulty getting in the first night and checked up on me the next day. Great value!

Would recommend the apt where we stayed in beautiful Princeville. We were so busy seeing the sights and hiking, we didn’t even use the pool. It was hard to find at night. Would recommend moving in in the daylight.

Clean and comfortable. Great location in Princeville. Close to the walking paths. Hot tub, bbq and pool areas were a real bonus. Depending on time of day finding a parking spot was an adventure. Karl was great to deal with. Will definitely come back again.

Everything we needed
First of all, the bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept great. It also helped that the windows and doors were screened, which allowed us to keep them open at night for great air flow, which, along with the ceiling and floor fan, kept the room at a great temp (it also helped get rid of the musky smell we encountered on arrival). It was nice to have a full sized fridge, but the fridge temperature was too warm and we we're unable to adjust the temperature. There were plenty of dishes and utensils provided, and even though we had to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink, they had a raised faucet on the sink, which made it easy to do the dishes. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided and they smelled amazing. They also provided bathroom and beach towels, but if we had stayed longer than 5 nights, we would've needed more towels. During our stay, we didn't have any noise issues and were surprised to not hear roosters every morning. We enjoyed being able to walk to Hideaways beach (since that beach really doesn't have parking) and suggest you try snorkeling there. It's also walking distance to Queen's Bath, which is a must see (often see many many sea turtles). Overall, the price was good, and the place met our expectations and we would do it again.

Great place to stay!
A very comfortable and no-frills place to stay. We were able to cook every night and eat a simple breakfast and prepare lunches in the kitchenette. The BBQ at the pool is available after 7:30pm (due to other families BBQ'ing) but closes at 8:00pm. This leaves a narrow window but one which we were able to negotiate most nights of our stay. Parking is problematic, but this is why the studio is so cheap. Overall a great place to stay on Kauai!

A place to sleep and shower
Took several attempts to receive our check in information. Room was basic and clean enough. Ceiling fan didn't work. If you rent this place you'll be in a convenient North shore location but while there you'll hear every word and cough and baby cry of your neighbors and they'll hear you. Kauai is very expensive so I'm glad we were able to save $ on this basic accommodation.

Very enjoyable and convenient
Studio perfect for a week stay for the couple. Clean and ready for our arrival. We had all the necessities for the beach and pool ( towels and chairs, cooler) The owners were very helpful with any questions we had about the island and activities. Grocery store and restaurants are in a 20 minut of a walking distance from the studio. The area is very nice and quiet . We enjoyed our stay very much :)

Nice basic place
This was a pretty good value place to stay on Kauai. The apartment had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. Most rentals we have stayed at have had more condiments and such in the fridge so keep that in mind if you pick up your groceries before check-in. The pool area is a super short walk away and was really nice!! It looked like it had just been renovated or updated. Sitting in the hot tub in the rain at the end of the day was so much fun. It seemed like a lot of locals live in this complex, we talked with a few people at the pool area. It was really quiet here which is nice if you want to get up early in the morning for exploring the island. The bed in the unit is really comfortable and the patio area is huge and private. We loved sitting out there in the morning. I think the only thing that really bothered us was it’s very dark in the unit, but didn’t bother us enough to mention it to the owner, and not a fan of the mirrored closet doors. The price and the location more than make up for it. We enjoyed walking down to the St Regis for happy hour cocktails and the Princeville area is great for running. Thanks for a great stay!

Great stay, no complaints only suggestions. A toaster oven or a hot plate would really have made our stay! Or a George Forman grill... also the shell mirror was too bulky so we took it down for fear of knocking it off the wall, maybe lower profile mirror would be better in that space or just a nice photo. Thanks for the standing fan it was great to have, over all very pleasant stay. Would stay again and recommend

Great location, perfect for two people
We enjoyed our stay here! It was a great location on the north shore. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The full sized fridge was nice, had some snorkel gear and beach chairs, and shampo/conditioner/body wash. It was perfect for two people and the fridge and microwave are a help to prepare some meals if you're looking to save a bit of money. It gets a little warm but if you keep the windows open and fans on at night it's fine. Highly recommend!

Beautiful area with a budget stay
The area and grounds were great! The condo was clean but dated. Great for a lower budget stay which we wanted because we were not in the room but to sleep. Strong suggestion would be to supply more than one towel/wash cloth for a week stay since there is not a near by laundromat to wash them!!

Great stay in a nice appartment
Sandpiper village is a beautiful complex! It's surrounded by wonderful plants and a lovely golf course! The appartment is nice and though it is only one room plus bathroom it is perfect for 2 thanks to the balcony/ terrace ( had not been cleaned when we arrived) where we spent most of the time when not visiting the spectacular island! Best things to do: Waimea Canyon ( even when the weather is rainy in Princeville it might be fine there) and a flight over the island in one of those little planes - book airventures, they did a great job!!!!!!

Clean, Good size, Confortable, Good Location.
I am from Brazil, living in San Diego, CA for 5 years and I love to travel. I have been to Oahu and Maui and this was my first time in Magical Kauai.
I always stay in hotels and this time Ive decided to take a chance and try HomeAway . Was a last time trip and I had only two days to find a place...So I saw the Studio online and I liked it. I was a bit worried about it, maybe it wouldnt be the way it was been described but for my surprise it was even better.
I went to Kauai by myself but I had friends staying there, so basically I need the place only to sleep and take showers. I didnt use the 'Kitchen' at all, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the shower worked ok, and they also had shampoo, conditioner and Soap available (It was good because I forgot my shampoo, hehe). They also had towels, a tiny hair dryer... It was all i needed actually!
The communication with Karl was good, he is a nice guy. I had one little problem with the key locker but he solved in a really good way, so I was happy about it!
Ahh..One day I went to dinner and got back after 10PM and was hard to find park, so be careful about parking!
I will be back and I recommend this place!

Very Comfy! Beautiful Area!
My friend and I stayed here March 6-10 and we had an awesome time! First of all, everything on the Island was beautiful! The condo was super clean! My friend and I walked around barefoot and there was nothing on our feet! Even the patio was super clean! The condo was very suitable for 2 people. Everything you need was there. Dishes, silverware, glasses, salt, pepper, olive oil, sunscreen, bug spray, and much more. There were 2 grills at the pool, which is like a 10 second walk from the condo. There was a grocery store and scenic overlook right outside the neighborhood. The beautiful Na Pali coast is only about 11 miles away. If you stay here, you will certainly enjoy it! It's a quick drive to everything! And by the end of the day, you can relax in the hot tub, take a nice hot shower, jump in the nice warm bed, and enjoy some cable tv until you fall asleep! And do not underestimate the fact that there is no ac! Open all the windows and turn the fan on and by morning, you'll be turning the fan off and closing the windows! Hope everyone enjoys their stay as much as we did! I would definitely stay again!
