Situated in Wild Dunes, this lovely house for $621 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Experience the ultimate vacation with The Pelican House Welcome to The Pelican House, located in the luxurious gated resort community of Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms, SC. Here you will find the peace and relaxation you've been yearning for. Location, location, location is what makes a great vacation, and The Pelican House does not disappoint. Just 500 steps from the most beautiful private beach in IOP, you won't have to get in the car and try to find a parking space to get to the beach. If you're wanting to be poolside, The Pelican Bay community pool is just steps away from the front door, too! This property is truly a gem. In 2023, this house was torn down and rebuilt to almost 3,000 square feet with all new amenities, new appliances, furniture and décor. The first floor features an expanded floor plan with an open kitchen featuring new Bertazzoni appliances, a large kitchen table that seats 8, an island with sink that seats 3 and a coffee station. An open living room with sectional sofa leads to a large primary bedroom en-suite with a Sleep Number King Bed, 55” SmartTV, oversized walk-in shower, jacuzzi-like tub, and custom walk-in closet. A private Captain’s Lounge with wet bar, SmartTV, Sonos SoundBar and an electric fireplace overlooks the Pelican Bay lagoon. The mudroom offers laundry and storage space. All this, plus a covered porch with Adirondack chairs provides southern charm over-looking our giant Southern Magnolia tree. The second floor provides 3 spacious bedrooms, a bonus surf loft area with a 75” LED SmartTV, and an office space also with 55" SmartTV and SONOS sound bar -- Perfect for remote workers and studying. There is a Jack-n-Jill full bathroom attached to the secondary king bedroom (with a Sleep Number Mattress) en-suite and office, and there is a shared bath with tub situated between a queen bedroom and another bedroom with two full beds. A secondary laundry area is also provided. Upstairs you will also find a porch with 2 Adirondack Chairs that makes this home even more comfortable for that relaxing vacation you've been dreaming about. The ground level features an outdoor shower, garage space and access to the first-floor mudroom. The house is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, DirecTV STREAM and multi-zone central A/C (HVAC). Local golf, tennis, pickleball, and bicycle rentals all located in the Wild Dunes area. There is plenty of dining options in Wild Dunes along with an amazing spa! Unfortunately, motor homes, trailers, boats and motorcycles are not allowed in Wild Dunes Resort. The house itself was nice. Some things are a little rundown/outdated and need fixing. The "beach items" it states they provide, are left over items from other visitors. Nothing of real substance. Not enough towels for the 5 people who stayed, no kitchen towels, and very miscellaneous utensils. Overall, still a good house. Cleaning service needs to update their checklist.

The location is great and we love staying inside Wild Dunes Resort. The beach and pool are very close to the property and with a two month old it was very convenient. The property needs to be better maintained and bug treated. We found large roaches through out the house and contacted the management company. They were quick to respond and sprayed the next morning but that problem is not going to be solved overnight. We also had a big issue with mosquitos out front. Anytime we went to get in our vehicles we were swarmed by them. It was literally a race to get into the car so they didn’t get in with us. Overall enjoyed our stay but for that price point it definitely could have been better.

The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well-stocked and we had everything we needed. The home's exterior could use pressure washing and repairs, as it looked tired. The wood on the screen porch was filthy and could have been at least wiped down if not washed. The interior was clean enough and nicely decorated. The furniture was comfortable and the living area was cozy. It's a lovely home but needs a little TLC. We enjoyed our stay and liked the home. The rental agency was responsive and very helpful. We rented both bikes and an umbrella and beach chairs, which was a nice service that we enjoyed.

We loved our stay at 11 pelican bay , island reality was very attentive to our needs, the clothes dryer stopped working, it was replaced the next day, looking forward to staying there again next year !!

We notified Island Realty as well as the insurance company. The insurance company is refusing to pay our claim, leaving us out thousands of dollars. I will not be booking any other vacations through island realty or their bogus insurance companies. Total scam.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Pelican Bay 11. The house is clean and inviting. Our favorite was the screened in porch and the front porch swing! The beach and pool are a short easy walk! We rented bikes and rode around to the restaurants and other locations within Wild Dunes. I highly recommend doing this (we did the tandems with our younger kids)! We would definitely stay again at this beautiful beach house!

Most everything was great, the bad parts were, dirty dishes, recycle container was overflowing, someone left their baby bottle on the rail on the front porch., and mold and slow drain in the master bathroom.

Just Okay
Pictures were a bit deceiving. Not super clean. Some dishes in cupboard were not clean. Back deck looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Dirty, leaves etc. chairs were dirty and so was deck. Back covered patio chairs and cushions were not clean. Despite this we liked the location and the peaceful setting. A bit pricey and expected a little more.

This was perfect for our Mother’s Day weekend getaway. The property had everything we needed. The location was wonderful and we enjoyed both pools in the neighborhood and at the new hotel.
