About this house rental
Located in Monroe, this lovely house for $200 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This vacation home is situated on the East side of Swan Lake, and offers a beautiful view of the lake, along with 100 feet of lake frontage. There are two bedrooms, both with queen size beds and spacious cedar closets. The home was completely renovated in 2016, to include an updated bathroom with a full size shower and generous storage for towels and bathroom supplies. The living room overlooks the lake, has a cozy propane fireplace and 43 inch Smart TV and wireless internet. The mudroom/entryway has a built in washer and dryer and comfy reclining love seat. The galley kitchen, which overlooks the lake, is fully equipped and the adjacent dining area comfortably seats 6. Cooking and eating utensils, as well as bed and bath linens are provided. Outside, there is a patio with lawn furniture a Weber gas grill, and the private lake frontage is accessible by stairs. There is a new 40 foot aluminum dock, and kayaks are available for use at your own risk. This rental has all the comforts of a year round home with breathtaking views from the house, outside patio and shore. The home is less than 2 miles from a local grocery store, and just15 minutes from Belfast.

Nice clean home with all the amenities. The lake view was beautiful and the area so quiet. Close to Belfast which turned out to be a nice town to walk about. Bar Harbour and Bangor were less than an hour so day trips were easy. Recommend this home if you want to relax and get away but still sightsee.

Wish we could have spent more time here and definitely will be back. Property was so clean and had everything you needed! Location is AMAZING! Could not ask for a more peaceful area.

We stayed at this property during somewhat of an off-season, and therefore it was too chilly to take advantage of lake and water activities. If it had been the height of the summer, we may have been disappointed by not having a deck or water side door. There is a nice cement patio with outdoor table and chairs that somewhat makes up for this. While this is directly on the lake, there is no sandy beach to lounge on. There is a small stony area where beach chairs could be placed. We wore water socks to get over the rocks into the water. We noticed that there was plenty of storage for families who might have to travel with more belongings than we did. The house is very clean and the kitchen had everything needed to make meals.

A beautifil lakefront cottage which was absolutely perfect for our Maine getaway. Spotlessly clean, with plenty of space for four adults. Nice linens, bath & beach towels. Well equipped kitchen. Great space for outdoor dining, kayaks to use on the lake. Even in mid-September the lake water was warm enough for swimming. Great location for exploring Belfast/Camden/Rockport/ Rockland and Acadia. We are already talking about a return visit.

The beautifully maintained home was perfect for our family vacation. The cedar closets, comfortable beds and great views of the sunsets were incredible. We have been staying on Swan Lake for over 20 years and this is our favorite. Nothing is better than listening to the Loons on the lake.

Property was exceptionally maintained and clean. House was set up perfectly for our party of four. Kitchen was well stocked. Swan lake is crystal clear and many fish were caught from our kayaks. We brought our own kayaks but there were three provided that were in great condition. Photos do not do justice to the lake and the great sunsets from dock. Plenty of outdoor areas to sit and relax to enjoy lake. You also have wonderful views of water from living room.

We totally enjoyed our relaxing week by Swan Lake . Watching the loons and drinking coffee while the sun came up . Beautiful sunsets in the evening hours . Our host provided us with everything we needed . The place was like brand new clean . Definitely worth the stay . We plan on coming back soon . Short day trips to Belfast, Arcadia National Park and Bar Harbor along with endless coastal treasures . Great way to get the true feel of Maine . Not to mention eat lobster every day . Can’t get any better .

Julie’s home is wonderful and cozy. The lake is gorgeous and crystal clear. I loved the various seating areas in the back yard, and wish I had made time to use the kayaks that are available. Highly recommend this rental, and owner. Can’t wait to return!

Great property great location great owners all around five stars close to everything but yet secluded enough great views of the lake small store up the street for whatever you need I was here mostly for work but really enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable all in all great clean house no complaints

We couldn't wish for a better house for our family vacation. Everything was super clean, super convenient, and super well taken care of. Julie is a wonderful host, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. In this part of Maine you can make your vacation as relaxing or as active as you wish - we enjoyed both. The house was an excellent base for all our adventures and it's location right on the lake can't be beat. We already miss it and envy Julie's future guests who will get to enjoy it. Thank you!

A very clean well maintained property.
Everything was in great shape, clean and organized. Julie was very helpful all around. We had a medical issue with our son. I was able to stay a few days, then had to head home. We are already booked for next July. Cannot wait for my Family to see this beautiful property. Thank you Julie for everything. See you next Summer!

Lovely spot on the lake. Short drive to Belfast and lots to explore in the area. Julie was very friendly. We're glad we stayed here and would come back.

My family and I loved the house! It was prefect for our family and we had enough space. Everything was there that we needed. Kids loved the beachy area and we loved being close by to prime visiting spots.

Great Experience
This was the first time we had stayed at a VRBO and I was a little nervous and apprehensive about the whole thing. I am not a 'camping' person and was most worried about the 'inside of the cottage'. I saw the pictures online but I do not think they do it justice. The place is more like a lake house and was immaculately clean and neat. The views from the kitchen and livingroom are spectacular. Everything was supplied for us-including dishes, cookware, sheets, towels, washer, dryer, dish washer, etc. We did not need to bring a thing except our own clothes and food. The location was perfect for us as we have relatives in the Bangor area and wanted to visit Belfast, Rockland and Camden -all within an hour or less away. There is a country store close by which provided the groceries we needed and also had some take out items like pizza and sandwiches. The city of Belfast is within 10-15 minutes away. Overall this was a great experience and we would certainly come back again!
