The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station which was convenient. There were laundry machines and luggage storage available.
Forwarding a luggage from this hotel requires you to make an order online and give a reservation number in the reception, so be prepared to do it in advance if you don't wanna hurry before your train.

What a gem! Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with my experience in Sakura Matsuri. Everything went perfect, and I wish I could have stayed longer.
There were some dust in places that are “hidden”, but when I sat down to organise my luggage I noticed the dust accumulated on the corners of the windows, and some dust in the bathroom. There was also a pair of socks who someone left behind, which was hidden behind a lamp. It’s more about paying attention than saying that the place was filthy.

The property is in a great location, very close to Kyoto train station. Easy access to walk to the station and explore nearby temples. Staff were wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were small, but enough with everything you need. I would recommend this property for value, cleanliness and comfort.

What we liked most was how quiet the hotel was, since it is located on a small residential street.
We booked this hotel with a guaranteed baby cot for our room. We even confirmed this via email at the time of booking. However, upon arrival, the cot was unavailable, forcing our baby to sleep with us.
To make this safer, we moved the bed against the wall and discovered how filthy the room was, which was deeply upsetting.
While the manager did apologize the following day when a cot was finally provided, we were troubled to learn that the hotel only performs deep cleaning once a month.
Furthermore, the room lacks blackout curtains. Be aware that if you or your children are sensitive to light, the room becomes very bright around 5 AM.
