About this house rental
Situated in Dewey Beach, this charming house for $400 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Stay Play Dewey We love it here and hope you do as well... New kitchen in 2018, All bathrooms updated in 2019, Brand new decks in 2022! In prime season - our weekly rental is Sunday to Sunday. For Mini weeks in the summer, we typically accept Sunday to Thursday and Thursday to Sunday with some limited exceptions. *Please note*: WE DO NOT provide sheets or towels but do have beach chairs, boogie boards and beach toys available for your use (as well as pack n play & high chair)! There are several local companies that provide sheet and linen rentals and we provide their contact information in our General Information Guide upon booking or upon request. **Please note**: We also do not rent to groups under age of 25 without additional parent sign-off or on an exception basis. Please contact us for exceptions before requesting reservations. There is a pet fee for 1 dog (we do not typically accept more than 1 dog but feel free to reach out to discuss). Located in the south end of Dewey Beach at 17A Van Dyke St - Park your car upon arrival and you never have to drive again! The home is located on a quiet street and within few steps away from the beach, the bay and the Rusty Rudder. This nicely furnished 3 level END UNIT townhouse with two Master Suites (king beds) is the perfect place for your relaxing beach vacation. With 4 Bedrooms and 3.5 Baths and parking for 3 cars, this townhome is the perfect spot for one or two families (we even provide a pack n play and high chair). It is less than half-block to the beach - you don’t even have to cross a street plus we even provide beach chairs and toys so you don’t have to bring them with you! Had enough of the sand – enjoy happy hour on the rooftop deck with views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. Hungry? It’s a quick walk to any of Dewey’s restaurants – Nalu, Gary’s, Rusty Rudder, Lighthouse, Starboard, Dewey Beer Company, and more. A little tired? Then feel free to stay and cook in the well equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances or order in and relax on one of the 5 decks including a great screened in porch. Or just hop on the Jolly Trolley to Rehoboth. Plus Dewey is a great family vacation town. Monday nights during the summer you will find movie night on the beach, a giant movie screen with a different movie playing each week. Bring your beach chairs and enjoy. Wednesday nights are family beach bonfire night, both on Dagsworthy Street. PEAK: WEEKLY Rentals SUN-SUN in summer (Will consider partial rentals Sun to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday) OFFPEAK NEGOTIABLE LOCATION: 17 Van Dyke St, Dewey Beach, DE + Beach is less than ½ block away. Award winning, gorgeous and clean. No street to cross – very safe for kids. Much less crowded than Rehoboth or Ocean City beaches. Vendor right there rents beach chairs or umbrellas, and sells refreshments. + Rehoboth Bay is 1 block away. Fish, boat, rent a jetski, or learn to wind surf. + Many restaurants within 1 block walk (Rusty Rudder, Nalu etc). 5 minute walk gets you just about anywhere in Dewey. + Rehoboth restaurants and attractions are 5 minute ride. Jolly Trolley stops on our corner. + Want to get away from it all and see the beach in its natural state? Ride your bike just a mile south to Delaware Seashore State Park. BEDROOM LAYOUT: 4 Bedrooms sleep 8 + Ground floor bedroom/den: One Twin Bed & one Double Bed + Ground floor Master bedroom: King Bed, dresser, Plenty of extra room for a portable crib (provided). + 3rd floor master: King Bed, Flat Screen TV, Ocean view deck with seating. Plenty of extra room for a portable crib or air mattress. + 3rd floor bedroom: 2 Twin Beds, adjacent to third large deck with more seating. AMENITIES: Dining room table that easily seats 8. Parking for 3 cars: 2 off-street plus 1 on-street parking permits included. Roof top deck with sweeping view of Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. Outdoor shower. WiFi. Streaming TV with all the local channels, high chair, beach toys, beach wagon, beach chairs, fully stocked kitchen, washer / dryer

Property was clean with a well stocked kitchen. Very close walking proximity to the beach, restaurants and stores in town. Short drive to Delaware Seashore State Park. Spacious with multiple outdoor decks and sitting areas. Rooftop deck was awesome! Owners were very responsive to the few questions we had! We will definitely come back!

Very nice property. Great location in Dewey. Some bath supplies were low and not in the common stock closet. I wish housekeeping would keep better inventory of these items. Also knowing about linen rentals in the booking info would be nice. To make easy arrangements at the time of booking rather than at pre check in. Would recommend overall as the place is nice.

Love this house! Have stayed several times and does not disappoint. Wish it was my real home! Everything is beautiful and location can’t be beat! New decking looks amazing! Had everything we needed to cook meals/make coffee. We used the beach chairs. Everything we needed/wanted was there! Love being in the screen porch! Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you so much!!!

This condo was a perfect location for the week. We were so close to the beach and could see it from a couple different locations at the house. We loved the screened in deck, and spent most of our time out there! Daniel was really great to work with and talk to, and he always responded really quickly. We also appreciated the email about rough ocean conditions during the week! The only issue we had is that the cleaners didn’t do a very good job, but that’s not the owners fault since they aren’t on site.

overall, the house was just want we needed. the screened in back porch was amazing, and the outside shower area was so spacious and convenient. However, there was a sort of ant issue in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom, the main kitchen table was sticky even though it had been cleaned, most all of the air vents looked very dirty and the walls in the bedrooms were very dusty. I wouldn't mind it much if the cleaning fee hadn't been so high - it made me expect a better-kept space.

My girl friends and I had the best weekend we could have asked for! The location of this property is PERFECT - basically oceanfront with some of the best views of the town and the water. I would highly recommend this house for a relaxing beach weekend!

Beautiful home and beautiful location right next to the beach. Only complaint is that the cleaning person didn’t do such a great job. But that is not the owners fault. The owner was so kind, check in was smooth, provided us with beach chairs and toys for the kids. And the 2 minute walk to the beach was fabulous.

Overall best place we ever stayed at in Dewey. Loved the location to the beach, shops and restaurants. Quick drive to Rehoboth only 2 miles away. The owner is awesome and by far the best owner I ever delt with. He was very prompt in answering my questions and concerns. We had a great time and are looking forward to coming back next year.

We love Dewey beach, and this trip didn't disappoint! This was our first time staying on the southern part of town and we enjoyed being walking distance to all the fun restaurants and bars that Dewey has to offer as well as the beach. We had three kids under 2 with us this vacation and definitely appreciated being a short 1-2 minute walk to the beach so that we can go back to the house as needed with each baby. Owners were responsive and let us do an early check in which is always a plus!! There were beach chairs and sand toys to play with- a few of the chairs were broken but they did warn in the listing they can't guarantee the condition of the chairs. We still brough and used our own chairs. We also loved the outdoor shower and storage area. Was big enough to keep our large stroller wagon outside for the kids! Would recommend staying here!

This house was perfect for 4 couples in early 30s. Very close to beach, restaurants, bars etc. lots of porches and spaces for gathering. Property owner was great with communication. Will be back next year

The place itself is amazing. We had a few people who go to Dewey all the time and said it was by far the best property they've stayed in. It is also in a great location. The beach is a short walk, tons of restaurants and night life right around the corner too. We had an extra car so we had to purchase an additional parking pass from the town hall, but there is so much permit parking right by the property, made everything very easy!

The house was great with plenty of room to spread out. The beach cart & extra chairs were a big help. We all had breakfast as a group in the 2nd floor screened in porch. The rooftop deck was so nice to hang out, relax and see the ocean. Would definitely come back!

This house had everything you could need or want! Steps from the beach…clean and pretty in the house, porches outside for eating or just enjoying the surrounding beauty. Dan Spahr was such a gracious host. He was responsive to emails and texts and was extremely accommodating and helpful. Dan and Stephany seem to completely understand what people want and need from a vacation home. And to be so kind and helpful, is the perfect recipe! Highly recommend rental of this home and any location Dan and Stephany own - they are the best! Thank you!!!

Awesome location for a beach rental, very short walk to beach access. The first floor bedrooms are very convenient for kids and infants as you don't have to carry all their stuff upstairs. Other family with less luggage easily stayed on the 3rd floor. The middle floor has a full sized kitchen and large dining table. We were able to eat and have a puzzle out. Nice living room space with balcony. Lots of bathrooms was a plus! Highly recommend for groups or families.

Took a spring trip after opening weekend and enjoyed a perfect spring weekend! The house has full amenities and three outdoor patio features including a rooftop to watch the sunset over Dewey. Super close walk to the beach. Right across the street from a new and delicious breakfast spot in town!

Perfect location! The layout of the home was great as well especially for a larger group of guests. We walked around town without having to move our car but having the close parking spots were ideal. Loved being able to take our pup-she loves running on the beach! Some Small issues with cleanliness in kitchen and hvac vents but all managed. Owner was incredibly responsive and accommodating!! Would stay again!

You can’t beat this location, just steps from the beach and a few blocks to local bars and restaurants. House fits many adults comfortably and has everything you need for a long weekend. Host was communicative and accessible. We would stay here again!

Stay Play Dewey was perfect for our recent friends trip to Dewey. We had an infant and toddlers with us and the house was incredibly kid friendly, while still being a lovely beach getaway. The location is great - easy to walk to Dewey's main attractions but far enough down that the beach never got too crowded. Daniel was also very responsive, answering our questions and keeping us updated on the check in process. Would definitely recommend!

Location to the beach, shopping, restaurants was great. The house was relatively clean, although there was an issue with ants. King beds were comfortable but twins and double bed were not. The reserved parking spots and two parking passes were really convenient. Beach toys, chairs, wagon provided were really nice and the outdoor shower was a win. The multiple decks including rooftop deck were really nice. Would have been nice to have some items in the house when guests arrive, such as toilet paper. Dan was very responsive during our stay and offered assistance when needed.
