The award winning Nihilani at Princeville Resort is a spectacular newer condo community, beautifully landscaped and artfully designed. This spacious, two bedroom, two bath 1,400-square-foot home is close to the lovely pool that includes a jacuzzi and large covered BBQ area. The upper level of the pool has a shallow kiddie area shaded by a large cabana. A sweet waterfall graces the lower pool area, with hot tub nearby. This home's open floor plan includes a comfortable living room with a large flat-screen TV, wifi, Apple tv, queen size sleeper sofa, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and soft-close cabinets, and a spacious dining room with large oak table and insert that accommodates eight. Two bedrooms both with high quality, firm, new mattresses (1 king, 1 queen ), 2 full baths (the master has a large tile & glass shower as well as soaking tub and double sinks,) huge master closet, an alcove study, and laundry room with washer/dryer. The lanai is surrounded by lush landscaping and neighboring constructed waterfalls add a hushed whisper of rushing water for your enjoyment. An attached 1-car garage offers private parking and easy and direct access to the house (fits small, compact car). This lovely home provides a retreat in the manner of the relaxed Hawaiian lifestyle, or easy access to visit the many wonderful sites nearby. The Nihilani at Princeville Resort is nestled in the upscale and private neighborhood of Princeville, on Kauai's lush North Shore. Nihilani is near the Makai Golf Course and Princeville Tennis Club, and within walking distance of the famous Queen’s Bath and elegant St. Regis Hotel, with restaurants, shops and public beach. Other nearby attractions include the quaint “ old Hawaii” town of Hanalei, and gorgeous Hanalei Bay, a 2-mile long sandy beach with a vista of "Bali Hai.” Drive a little further and you will find Haena, well-known for its surfing, and Tunnels Beach, a snorkeling mecca. A bit further is Ke’e Beach, a lovely cove where a hike along the famous Na Pali coast offers unreal seascape views. Nearby activities include swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, surfing, windsurfing, hiking, horseback riding, zip lining, shopping, tennis and golf. Wonderful! Clean, spacious, comfortable. Suited 4 adults perfectly. Kitchen well appointed. Just needs a kettle! Bedrooms/bathrooms great. Town of Hanalei and good beaches close by. If you’re looking for bigger shopping/dining or outdoor adventures, you’ll have to drive at least an hour to Kapaa, Lihue or Poipu. But, we found Princeville to be quiet (kinda off the beaten path), lush and a little more laid back. We would stay in Princeville again (not that we didn’t take those longer drives!) and would rent 11A again in a heartbeat!

This unit in Princeville is very nice and comfortable and the pool area is lush and beautiful. The lanai is lovely and relaxing surrounded by beautiful plants that also make it more private. The guest bed was a bit too firm, but we used the mattress foam that was provided and made it more comfortable. The pots and pans looked old and worn out. However, the manager was quick to respond and replaced them with a new set of pots and pans. She also put traps for cockroaches in the garage and laundry room. Overall, we had a wonderful two-week stay.

Loved our stay here! It was the perfect spot for a family of 6 with teenagers. Plenty of space, clean, well stocked with many kitchen and beach items we needed. And the location was beautiful, quiet, and convenient. It was so nice to have a master suite, large lanai and dining space, garage, and mudroom w/ a nice large washer and dryer. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the accuracy of listing was because I saw different messages about parking. One email said you could park on the driveway and the other said only in the garage (which the latter is true). It also said only 1 compact car could fit in the garage. We took our chances and luckily we were able to fit the minivan in the garage without a problem. I also saw the neighbors fit 2 jeeps side by side in their garage. A few minor suggestions that would have been nice - include shampoo and tissue boxes in the house, and a keypad to the garage or front door instead of a lock box would be nice. That way everyone staying in the home has access to get inside without relying on 1 physical key and garage opener. Also, we were a little bummed we couldn't find any straps or way to transport and use the kayak. Maybe we just didn't see them, but we wish we had known we needed to bring our own straps if that's the case. That said, we would 100% rebook this place next time we are in Kauai! Such a great vacation rental and spot!

My husband and I came on the island for 2 weeks and had some friends with us the first week. It is a very nice place and we couldn't have been happier with the condo. We did have a little problem with the A/C but it was fixed fast. I would definitely stay again.

The condo was in (opinion) the best location, Princeville. The grounds were clean, pool area well kept with a lovely waterfall. The unit was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay again. There was a minor issue with the slider lock and we alerted them to it and they were quick to respond. A great choice for accommodations!

We had a fabulous time here. Our party consisted of 4 adults and we were all comfortable. The condo is gorgeous and spacious. The bedrooms re on opposite sides of the condo with the kitchen, dinning room and living room in between. It was fully stocked with everything we could have ever used even a kayak! Condo was clean and comfortable. The location in Princeville was perfect for our adventures on the north shore. Everything we wanted to do on the north shore was in easy driving distance (Kalaulau Trail, Hanalei Bay) and a grocery store that was super close! We loved it and would definitely come back!

Loved this condo! I would definitely recommend and I hope to be back again, sooner rather than later. Love the decor and it had all the amenities, including umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards for use.
We were aware that there was no a/c air and the roosters would wake us up in the morning, but we loved having the windows open and the roosters got us going early in the morning so we could enjoy the whole day. Great view of mountains from living area.

Really enjoyed the layout of the unit. Only slight drawback is the headlights from vehicles are visible in Master bedroom, which is a bother early morning-6am or on occasion after 11pm

Loved this property as our unit was spacious and immaculately clean. The unit is well appointed and our host has thought of everything to ensure a great holiday. The pool area is quiet, a great place to enjoy a swim and sun after a day of exploring the island. The only downside was the road directly behind the unit. Noise and lifts on the road early in the morning were a little aggravating as air conditioning was not working which required windows to remain open at night. There is no beach access closeby so not ideal for sun worshippers. That being said, our stay was quite enjoyable and we would consider another visit in the future.

Very clean, well appointed furnishings and situated strategically in the Nihilani at Princeville Resort makes this a great choice.
Great sized rooms, living areas, bathrooms, kitchen and lanai as well. We loved the furnishings and setup altogether.
Really loved the place and hopefully we will come back to both lovely Kauai and also to Princeville and maybe even this resort someday!

Our stay was fantastic! Having been to Kauai several times we opted to stay in Princeville this time. Location was a little far from the south side where we had a couple of activities planned but extremely close to Hanalei, which is our favorite anyway! The pictures don’t do the unit justice. It was much larger and so much more well kept than the pictures portrayed it to be. The pool was great and we did take advantage of the grill area because the unit is just across from both. Such a great deal for your money and we will absolutely book again. Thank you for the great place to relax!

We did book this location because it had a really nice community pool, but unfortunately the pool was closed for the majority of our stay. Our friends who were staying next door under a different management company received more updates regarding this issue (the closure was extended and our manager didn’t even let us know) and also received a credit back for the inconvenience (we did not). Our friends also received a lot of communication on things to do on the island and more in depth instructions. We actually relied on them more so then our manager.
So overall this property was so beautiful and maintained, but the management company (when compared to others) needs some work.

We had a great time and this condo is extremely well equipped. The split bedroom layout is perfect for multiple families to stay and have privacy. The condo is in a great location in Princeville with a large two car garage. It is decorated very Hawaiian stylish but not over the top and it all made sense. The collection of beach equipment is fantastic but you should know the surfboards are not usable. There was only one and it was missing fins and a leash. We rented a couple of boards for our stay. We were hoping the one's with the unit would alleviate that but was probably too much to hope for. The unit was clean and had everything you needed for a wonderful stay.

Our stay was pleasant overall. The location is great; the apartment comfortable and generally well kept. The pool is lovely, and just a 60-second walk from the front door. It was nice to have beach stuff (beach umbrella, beach chairs, mats) in the garage.
Two issues marred our stay: The upstairs neighbors were very loud and noise carries very easily through the ceiling. This is obviously not the owner's fault, but was not pleasant.
The second issue was more frustrating. Both the dryer and the washing machine were broken. When we arrived the dryer did not work at all (this was fixed the same day), and the spin cycle of the washing machine did not work. The property manager replaced the machine two days before we left (i.e., on day ten of a twelve-day stay). This seriously lessened our appreciation of the property.
All-in-all, we are still giving this 4 stars. Now that the washer dryer have been replaced, future renters will not experience what we did. But the experience was not altogether positive.
