About this cottage rental

Situated in Dauphin Island, this charming cottage for $105 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Near the beach. In a quite wooded area. This cottage is located behind a bigger home at same address. It is centrally located on the island. Not on stilts, so only a few steps. You can walk to the beach, or drive to a public beach. See pics. It has a king size bed, one bath w/ standing shower, kitchen, dining area open to living area. Living area has couch and loveseat. It has an electric fireplace. Dining table w/4 chairs. Dishes, pots and pans, linens, towels all furnished. Central heat/air. WIFI, 2-TVs(living room tv is a Roku), DVD, 12 cup coffee maker, microwave, range/oven, refrigerator all furnished. 2 ceiling fans and a small fan is also provided. There are several DVDs, books, puzzles, and board games available. Sand chairs, umbrellas and 2 beach towels are furnished. Pet friendly, dog towels and blankets furnished. A dog bed is available. There is a outside charcoal grill. There is a shared yard(no secured fence). Use like a private dog park, no leash required, clean up after pets. No smoking inside, you can smoke on deck outside. We have implemented a new cleaning and disinfecting plan according to the CDC guideline, in between each guest. Dauphin Island has an app that will help you find almost anything. Why Dauphin Island? The Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Estuarium is top notch in marine research with a hands on public aquarium. The island is rich in history with Indian shell mounds and Historic Fort Gaines that has reenactments and blacksmiths shows. The island has several restaurants, a bakery and seafood market. Property was great needed new door locks. Couldn’t get keys to work properly. But was quiet and peaceful. Deck could use a good Dewalt blower to clean leaves in the fall. 😂 but was great overall!

Had a great 4 days. Quite neighborhood, fenced yard for ZuZu and right in the center of everything. Angela and hub Marshall are some good christian folks. We’ll be back.

Cozy, clean, comfortable bed and living room, air conditioner worked great! Stocked with everything you need. Pet friendly. Not a good view, but close to beach, airport. We brought and rode our bikes everywhere. Love Dauphin Island. Thanks for a comfortable place to sleep.

This little gem has everything you need. Also great if you’re traveling with a dog. There’s a fenced in yard! The bed was really comfortable and lots of attention to detail in terms of little necessities.

I absolutely loved this place!! I am not high maintenance and don’t need much to be happy. It didn’t have granite countertops or a fancy bathroom but I don’t need it. The bed was comfortable so I slept good. I had a day of rain so vegged on the couch which was a great spot! The yard is fenced in but there were a few loose boards. I didn’t have a problem with that but my dogs listen pretty well so I kept them away from those spots. The beach was a short walkable distance for me and my 2 dogs. The other 2 beaches I had to drive to. If I had my bike I could have rode it to either one. I walked several times through the bird sanctuary on very nicely groomed trails. I also toured Fort Gaines which was really interesting. I was allowed to bring both my dogs inside which was great!! I would highly recommend this absolutely cute cottage if your traveling alone or with one other person. It was a hard place to leave!!

Enjoyed my stay cottage was just like pictures. Was very clean and well stocked. Location was great. Very dog friendly. My only complaint was fence in yard needs attention. But that wasn’t a big deal. Will definitely make plans to return

This cottage was so well supplied, beyond expectations. In addition to expected items, e.g., dishes, towels, there were beach chairs and umbrella! beach towels! books, games, puzzles! And dogs are welcome. The fenced yard is very nice. You can sit on the deck and let dogs/small ones roam around. You must check with owner about children. There is a regular size couch and a love seat that could accommodate children. In the summer I expect it is especially nice as there are big trees, shrubs that shade the deck most of the time. This place is not on the beach. You can get a residents pass by taking driver's license, car registration, and insurance card to police station. And the public beachs are quite nice. The location is very convenient. The owner was very responsive. I missed the check for pet when booking the cottage. I contacted her and she said - no problem!

We really loved and enjoyed our stay here! Upon arrival, we were very surprised how clean the place was. This cute little house was well decorated and well furnished. Very good privacy going in and out of the house to the parking. Great motion light at the front door when coming back in the dark. The only recommendation to the owner is to provide more lighting at the front parking so don’t have to struggle in the dark. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a reasonable place to stay and yet love a clean environment. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful stay!

We left a day early..roaches and the pics make it look nicer and alot bigger..I called property manager to explain why I was checking out a day early...she said I am sorry...not a good experience.

Had an amazing time. When we was at the beach we seen 2 dolphins frolicking. Super close to the restaurants. Cabin was super clean, and whatever you need to cook, or storage, or go to beach was there. Thank you again

Great spot to stay with my husband our 11 year old and our dog. Very quiet, and close to everything. Angela was so kind! We had an issue with the toilet one evening and she and her husband drove to correct it the next day. Will definitely stay here again!
