The house was the perfect size for two. We had everything we needed. Pool was just steps from the house and was the perfect temperature. Close to Duvall Street yet far enough away to have quiet evenings.

We had a lovely stay. Private pool to unwind after a day of shopping and fun. We rented a scooter that allowed us to explore the island with ease… with no parking fees! Definitely want to return!

Cute and comfortable cottage, private and quiet. Comes with a welcoming Kitty. Having our bicycles made it so easy to get around. Two day stay was too short.

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay here at the cottage! Miss Kitty was a huge bonus too and such a sweetheart! This location is only several blocks from Duval which made it quick and convenient to walk to and from throughout the day. We will definitely be looking to stay here again on our next trip to Key West!

It is really tough and I do not like to provide negative reviews, but this one is. I followed other reviews up to the point of "moving in". I sensed also that all was not well, but when making contact about building works etc I was told all was well and there would be no disturbance nor building works going on. However, whilst the building works was minimal whilst we were there, it was a building site, particularly around the our allocated parking. One of the guys that was frequently around the place actually advised us against parking there, because it "is a building site, full of screws and nails". The communcation with the property manager was one way and of an autocratic nature. I sent one mail asking for clarification on check out early on during our stay, but got no response. But when it came to telling us what to do she was good at communicating that. 10% discount was offered before our stay - due to inconvenience because of building works. The cottage itself is described as conch style, which would be fine, but it feels like it was built late 1950's or early 1960's - and nothing has been done to the interior since then - that was the perception we were left with. The only thing that in our view was positive was the lovely resident cat, Kitty.

We absolutely loved our stay in The Bungalow Cottage! It was exactly what we needed! The pool was an added bonus. It was much needed each morning after a late night out on duval st. We definitely plan to go back asap! Roberta was a pleasure to deal with. She was always available to answer any questions. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch and by the pool with Kitty.

The cottage was exactly as described and I read all the reviews. The property has 3 houses that share the pool. The main home is under construction and we only ran into them a couple times. The hotwater in the shower does have a trickle but we found all you need to do is turn the knob to the right instead of the left for pressure. I would like to have a better pans to cook with. The non-stick ones there are very cheap and the one should be replaced as it was burnt when I pulled it out to use it. Beware of the protruding nails in the closet. I stepped on it the morning we left. Also, I feel this should be labeled a 3 person rental as the futon couch is really made for one person and is extremely uncomfortable. Someone left a blow-up mattress but there is no pump to blow it up. The pool is a nice size, not heated, has some pieces missing on the bottom flag area so be careful, it's nice and deep on one end. We definitely enjoyed it. We all loved the kitty at the rental. She is so sweet and lovey. She's not dirty and no bother at all. Roberta was very nice and we only really had one issue with wifi and it was an operator error. She helped to get that resolved. Overall we had a wonderful trip. I would stay again but only with 2 people. Location is about 4 minutes to everything except publix that was about 10 minutes on our bikes.

We were not told about construction going on at property untill 2 weeks before arrival date and it had been going on all summer, after they got our final payment. Also no parking space for this unit and property manager constantly lied to us. Telling us that there was a parking lot across the street but there is not. Then she said on the street but that's only permit holders. Then she said we could park a few steps away by the church. The church is a block away and good luck getting a spot and if you do don't ever move your car till your leaving town. She lied saying the construction was all done outside and they would only be working inside. Nope it wasn't, they set up saws outside running them all day, they had the big sliding doors open all day so all hamming and noise was right there at the pool and our cottage along with a bunch of construction workers stering at you if you used the pool only 15ft away. Then they would play their music so no peace and quiet. The property mgr said she'd give use a 15% discount for problems which ended up being only about 12%. She should have notified us a month or two ahead of reservation and gave us the opportunity to cancel before making our last payment. Cottage is in need of repairs. This was our first Vrbo and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don't like being lied too. Also other couple staying at same time but booked directly were very upset with all the same issues as us only they were lucky to have a dedicated parking space.

Overall we had a great time. Location was great, loved having a pool. Property manager very responsive and helpful. Our only complaint is that the listing lists parking and washer/dryer but due to construction there was neither. Property manager was helpful in providing parking options for us to use and there is a laundromat within walking distance.

Listing shows washer and dryer. When we arrived there wasnt one. Contacted manager and was told that we were "only here for 4 days and there is a laundromat down the road". Will not book here again.

The accommodations were great. Quaint little property a block from the mile-zero marker... we got in as the hurricane was passing by, so had some minor storm damage/mess. Roberta (the property manager) had the handyman out immediately to square things away. Customer service was outstanding, as she had to relocate us to other accommodations (which were fantastic also) As a side-note, the main house on this property is being renovated, so there is some contractor-stuff going on... (hopefully that rental will be available when we return)

This private bungalow provided a unique refreshing pool we used almost exclusively. It was within walking distance of the places we planned on visiting. The manager made us feel welcome.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cat was a pleasure to take care of while there. We loved having the pool. There was only one day where the workers on the main house worked until 7:00 or after, but other than that we did not really pay attention to them. There was one evening I had to kill some termite looking insects. We also had some sugar ants coming in from the kitchen window. The pest man did treat the cottage, so unfortunately this happens sometimes. I would definitely stay again. Roberta is a great host.

This was the perfect rental for my partner and I! The house was clean and the location was great. We rented bikes and everything was just minutes away. The pool was amazing and the perfect way to cool down in the middle of the day. The kitty that hangs around the property was the sweetest cat ever. She sat with us on the porch and even hung around the pool while we swam. Loved this property and would definitely stay here again.

Description says therefore is off street parking. Due to construction, there uis not. I didn’t find this out til after I had booked site. Also, the main cottage is basically gutted. With extensive construction, there is a lot of noise & loud music played by workers. Workers were very friendly though. Neighboring properties are noisy at night as well, would not recommend if you are looking for a quiet place, but it’s Key West.. Walk past pool to cottage is very dark at night. There is no light on the porch/ deck side. I had to use my phone for a light to use my key. And then, the lock was very difficult to unlock & lock..warped key? Property is within a LONG walking distance to the restaurant/bar area of Duvall Street. It’s on the opposite side of the island. Definitely would be worth it to rent a bike. There is a very delicious Cuban restaurant a block from this cottage. Def recommend! There is not a vanity surface to put on makeup or curl hair & not a full length mirror. Otherwise bathroom was clean & useable. Kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes, coffee pot, etc. There is not an on-site washer/dryer. The decor is very dated/eclectic & they expect you to wash dishes, take out trash & strip linens prior to check out (what was the $200 cleaning fee for?) Overall, ok place to stay. Per property manager, price was reduced due to construction. Property manager was not very friendly. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I feel like people need to know the full truth about this property prior to booking. I personally would not stay here again.

We walked to the Breakfast Bar, The Little White House, Southern Most Point, and Duvall Street. The pool was great to hit in the middle of the day. We loved Ms. Kitty too and she would come join in on our pool parties. Please know there is not a hairdryer on the property and not a grocery store in walking distance. There is a liquor store and CVS though. Roberta was very attentive and responded quickly. We will definitely be back! Thank you for such an amazing property!
