About this house rental
Located in Ocean Isle Beach, this lovely house for $750 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Make The Yellow Sub OIB your vacation home and create memories you will not forget. This stunning house, built in 2014, is oceanfront and it has all the amenities. The house has 6 bedrooms, 6 ½ bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, TVs and ceiling fans in each room, WiFi, decks overlooking the ocean, a private walkway to the beach, a pool, Tiki bar, a lounge area by the pool, an elevator to all floors and private parking. The house accommodates 16 not including a sofabed. The most frequently made comment about The Yellow Sub OIB is that the pictures don’t capture the beauty of the house and the awesome panoramic views of the beach and ocean. The main floor of the house has an open floor plan combining the kitchen, and dining and living areas. The living room has two sofas and movable chairs for conversation, viewing TV/movies, or watching the surf. There is an entertainment center with a smart TV, a Blu-Ray player, and a stereo receiver with surround sound that can be played throughout the living and dining areas. A wet bar is also located in the living area. The dining area has two tables with seating for 16 people. The gourmet kitchen has spacious granite counters, including a raised area with bar stools for eating, working on projects, or watching the chefs. The appliances are stainless steel and include a large refrigerator, dishwasher, separate ice-maker, oven, and microwave, and the counter contains a flat top cook stove. Family meals are easy to prepare with the pots and pans, measuring cups, etc. that are there, and there are sufficient number of plates, glasses, and flatware for everyone to enjoy a meal together. The master bedroom, with a king bed, is on the main floor and the master bath includes a rain shower, garden tub and walk-in closet. The upper level of the house has 5 bedrooms; two facing the ocean each with a queen bed, two facing the street each with a double and a single bed, and a room with two bunk beds. The house is decorated with playful colors and each room has a theme which will leave you talking about the house and humming the yellow sub theme. The ground level has an in-ground pool, which is partially under the house and therefore can be used on rainy days. The pool is heated from April through October. In addition, the ground level has a Tiki bar, gas grill, and lounge deck with deck chairs. This is a great place for cookouts, conversation, play, or just relaxing in the sun away from the sand. There are decks on the main and upper levels facing the street and there are decks on the main and upper levels facing the beach/ocean. Those facing the beach/ocean provide a panoramic view of the beach that is spectacular. A private walkway leads to the beach and there are two out-coves in the walkway which can be used as areas for conversation or to soak up the sun. A few steps from the house is a wonderful, white-sand beach and the gentle waves of the ocean. Take a blanket, couple of chairs, or some sand toys and enjoy the beach. The Yellow Sub OIB will not disappoint. This is a beautiful house right on the beach. We had a small family reunion. Two large dining tables provided plenty of room for eating. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Easy access. Thank you!

We have vacationed with my husbands family all over the Carolinas and this house set up was BY FAR the best we have ever had. The pictures don't do it justice at all. Everything was clean, well maintained, this house had EVERYTHING you needed. The location was perfect. steps from the beach and the pool was right under the house which was ideal. We had 7 adults and 4 toddlers and just had the best time with PLENTY of space. Thank you again and we hope to book with you next summer!

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this house and the location! The views from all the decks on the back are wonderful. You can't ask for anything better then being beach front! Plus, this home is located right between two public beach access points, which makes the spot on the beach in front of the house pretty empty. At times, we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves! Owners were great. We had one minor issue with the elevator (user error) and they sent someone out within the hour! I hope we get the chance to stay at the Yellow Sub house again someday soon!

Yellow Sub offered the perfect beach location. Loved not having to lug beach chairs, umbrellas etc to the beach each day. The house had plenty of room and was very well stocked. We certainly appreciated having basic cleaning supplies and paper products provided. I was a little concerned as the pool was cloudy (from previous occupants) as we arrived and the ice maker did not work but the pool guy was already working on clearing it up as was the repairman for the ice maker. An unexpected plus was a bathroom near the pool. It was nice having smart tvs in all the bedrooms but the downside was slow internet.

Has all the amenities that we prefer when on vacation. The beach location is great since never really crowded in that area and the partially covered pool is a definite plus for the children.

This property is more than the pictures show. The rooms are large enough to move around, and the beds are not cramped together. The house was very clean and the location is fantastic. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to come back again!

Once we arrived the place was super clean and VERY organized and actually had a little more there than listed (outdoor games/sand toys/beach chairs and umbrellas). One thing I would plan for would be to bring more bath towels or plan to wash often. There was only one towel per person (or bed size—1 for twin, 2 for queen/king/full). If you plan to max out the house (like we did) that’s 1 per person… not a huge deal though. Great house, great location. I 100% recommend this place! We will be coming back!

My friends and I have an annual beach trip and the Yellow Sub was by far the best home we've stayed in the 10+ years we have been doing this. We had a few rainy days so we spent time by the pool under cover. Amazing space in the luxury kitchen and living area. The views were fantastic and we can't wait to come back next year! We loved the house and all the nice amenities! It's well equipped and clean with everything you could need. Loved that each bedroom had it's own bath. The pool and decks were so great and we used them each day. It's just a short walk to the beach so very convenient. We'll definitely stay here again. Ken and Betty were very responsive and easy to work with. Thanks for a fabulous girls trip!

When we first saw this property online, we could y lol it was very special. It more than met our expectations.
The owners, Ken and Betty, were kind enough to meet us at the house a couple of months before our event so we could get some measurements and check it out in person. Wonderful house and terrific people.
Our guests were amazed for the facility and many asked how we found it and how they could reserve.
Most of us are over 60 and the elevator was a lifesaver. I understand the need for so many steps since it is a beach house, but it was nice to sometimes ride the elevator.
The pool heater was not working when we arrived but I contacted the owners and people were there working on it in less than 30 minutes and we have many people enjoying nice warm water.
Everything was very clean and we loved the laminated photos in the pantry to show where everything was so we knew where to put everything back. Great idea!
Our only issue was not anything the homeowner could control or help, but we had about 56 guests attend our wedding (about 20 cars) and there was not enough parking. However, two of the wonderful neighbors told us we could park at their homes since they were not using their houses that day. There was public parking not too far away and we planned to shuttle guests, but all guests were able to park close thanks to the lovely neighbors.
I highly HIGHLY recommend this property! I would not change anything about it! We hope to return although next time may not be quite as memorable as our wedding.

House is open and spacious for our 13 high school girlfriends from 1972. This is the best “well stocked” house ever!!!! Everything you need is there, and Ken and Betty really do an awesome job with decorating and furniture lay out for a large group. Other than, a few little things (from the people that stayed before us) the house was perfect!!!! Thank you Ken, for more than accommodating our needs. We want to book your place every year going forward at this same time! It is “a very taken care of lovely home.” I live inland here at OIB and you won’t find a better house!!!!!!Pencie Crews

Very clean!!! Beds are super comfortable! Pool area was fantastic! Large open floor plan. Close to the pier and activities and restaurants! Ice machine was a blessing! Elevator was a knee saver! We will be back! Absolutely loved it!!!

We had a wonderful time. This home was very well equipped! The only thing I would mention is if you are planning on using the main bedroom for an older person it is very high. (I did not measured but my guess is approx 30 inches high) for my 94 year old mom it was a challenge. I did not want her to have to do the steps or the elevator.
They have towels to use for the beach and loads of toys. There were chairs, but always wonder if they will be in good condition.

We came right after Hurricane Ian and there were a few small issues (pool heater not working, upstairs AC broken), but Ken got his maintenance folks there the same day and got everything fixed! The house was bigger than I thought from the pictures and had plenty of space for our family of 5 and two sets of grandparents. We enjoyed being steps from the beach, but also having a pool for the kids to play in! We are coming back next year!

The house was even better than we expected. The photos made it look smaller than it actually is. Full of appliances, dishes, start up necessities like hand soap, toilet paper, ect. The owners were great to work with, easy to communicate with. Absolutely, no complaints about this home!

The private pool was a hit with all the kids and the pool company did an excellent job keeping the pool clean and chemicals balanced properly. This will be our vacation home of choice when we return to Ocean Isle! Thanks Ken and Betty for an unforgettable family vacation.

Our family of five adult couples and four children seven years old and younger all had a wonderful time. The Yellow Submarine had all the amenities we needed. The beach in front was just right for us and all our fun and games. The pool was just what we needed for a post ocean dip. The Beatles theme is an added fun attraction . On a rainy day several of us enjoyed the surprisingly interesting natural museum. We plan to spend another trip on the Yellow Submarine OIB.

This is a beautiful property and everything we thought it would be. The home is beautiful and easily accommodated our family of 11 people. The proximity to the ocean with it’s own private boardwalk and pool were selling points! We would book this home again in a heartbeat.

My family had an amazing vacation in this beautiful home on OIB. We celebrated my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary and we brought family together from all across the country for the week. Everyone enjoyed their stay and raved about the well equipped kitchen and wonderful amenities throughout the home. Ken and Betty were very responsive to questions and helpful in providing recommendations as we prepared for our visit. The home is tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture throughout. We loved that there were plenty of chairs on the decks for us to enjoy our morning coffee and evening beverages. This vacation was a dream come true for all of us and we look forward to returning. Beautiful home and lovely proximity to the beach. I spoke with the property manager about some small issues and he responded promptly and was so very nice! It was fantastic to have a bathroom in each room. The kitchen was well equipped, we made most of our meals there and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again!
