We booked this place for a big group getaway. The house is amazing! We had everything we needed. The views were spectacular (especially sunsets). We had 12 adults and 9 children. We loved spending time there and would recommend it to others. The host was very responsive and we ended up getting a free night because the roads weren’t safe enough due to ice. She even sent people to help make sure we got off the mountain safely. I would highly recommend this host!

The property was amazing. The home was absolutely beautiful.
Wish we would have booked for two weeks instead of one week.
Host was very accommodating and answered all concerns immediately.
Would definitely stay here again. There was 15 of us.
Take batteries for TV remote controls. This was really the only thing missing.

My family of 15 loved our stay at this cabin! It met all of our needs. I loved everyone being able to sit at that table and eat together. The kids loved the basement area and the hot tub. We only had one issue and it was taken care of within a couple of hours.

Huge cabin, tons of space, really awesome view from property, nice location wears valley, very clean

Cabin was perfect, clean, and well equipped. Our group of 16 adults and 3 kids had plenty of room and lots to do with the arcade games and game tables. Built fires in the fireplace that made it extra cozy when we got to see a few snow flurries. Grilled steaks one night on the two propane grills and was able to seat everyone at the large dining room table.

We love everything about this place - it's size, the views, location! It's a beautiful place offering the best views. We love the fact that there is an outdoor fire pit - a setting to sit outside and absorb the views. The cabin is spacious providing ample room for our large group. Having a second and third fridge is awesome! (one little comment but a sort of non issue, because we do not watch much tv - is the "theatre room" in basement. The platform needs to extend out so that the front row people can rest their feet on the platform rather than dangle above the floor and the second row should sit on a raised platform or at least have the seating off set from the front row. ) Just a minor inconvenience but an inexpensive fix. Anyhow we will return regardless of the theatre room. Our favorite place out of about 5 or 6 different cabins we've experience over the last 12 years.

Very impressive property for a large group. Plenty of room and lots of supplies in the kitchen as well as linens. We loved the large dinning room table. Great selection of activities for entertainment and amazing views!!

Had not had my children together at 1 time in 14yrs PERFECT place!! Grandkids enjoyed themselves with seeing bears everyday, games, hot tub, tether ball and of course smores every night by the fire pit. Drive up the mountain a little scary but once you get there the views are to die for!!! Leaves were just changing I'm sure if we would of stayed a week later it would be amazing!! DEFINITELY A 5 STAR CABIN!!

This is a phenomenal cabin with excellent furnishings and above average amenities. Is perfect for a large family with something to do for everyone. Kitchen is extremely well furnished, which we greatly appreciated. While the cabin is at the top of the mountain, the roads are well paved so easily drivable.

This home was perfect for our annual family vacation. It was at the top of a mountain the views were amazing! We had visits from bears almost daily! The home had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Wifi/cell data was very limited my teen kids were so frustrated at first but they quickly discovered puzzles, bags, pool, ping pong and family time! Perfect! The kitchen was well furnished, beds were so comfortable we would stay there again, absolutely. Thank you for allowing us to have a wonderful week!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was just as pictured online. The only issue we had was the numerous bears, which we were warned about. But their presence was increased because someone was putting garbage in a construction dumpster at the house being built next door. There were no construction workers all week, so it had to be someone staying in the area.

Knotty Lodge was a resort!!! The view from the Living room and Master bedroom was beautiful! The kitchen was well-equipped with crock pots and a griddle! My granddaughters as well as the adults enjoyed the Entertainment room with ping pong, video games, air hockey, TV and theater chairs for movies and more! The living room, dining room and kitchen were open and spacious! We enjoyed spending our evenings together with the pool table located in the open loft upstairs! From the dining room door we watched a bear walk up the driveway and onto the porch! He looked at us and walked away!!! The firepit was awesome! Plenty of room and chairs for all of us!! My granddaughter cropped every family photo and included the black bear eating dinner, playing cards and spending an evening with us around the campfire!!! We never laughed so much!! We loved the cabin and we loved our vacation to Pigeon Forge!!! ***Just a note!!! The pool was too far away! We would pass it on the way down the mountain!

House was very nice. Bears were there everyday. Hottub was not the best filter needed clean. But thats the olny negative

The house is amazing. So many terrific spaces to enjoy. Simple and subtle decor and stocked of the basics. The views are phenomenal. We spent time just gazing out the windows and sitting on the decks.

Our family enjoyed our vacation in this spacious home! Loved the hot tub and the many game areas. The view was awesome! Many nights we enjoyed the fire pit! And sooo many bears😊

Overall nice, enjoyable stay, great views, plenty of room for sleeping, dining and gaming. Everyone had a great time.
Didn't care for the drive up, too steep and on the edge, brought on anxiety for me, although got better each trip up and down the mountain. Wish I had known about the drive ahead of time. Loved the ping pong, pool, air hockey, and the hot tub! Loved it, but most likely wouldn't return because of the drive.

Beautiful home...it's not being maintained very well. 2 of the deck railings are unstable and not safe if you have children. Double oven - the lower one doesn't work at all. The ice maker doesn't work at all. Workers have left trash all over affecting your view of the beautiful mountainside. We picked up 2 large hefty bags of trash, too much for us to clean. The house had a 1/4' of dust in many places. On the upside all of the beds were very comfortable, great that it had laundry facilities as they only give you 1 kitchen towel. You also need to bring all of your paper products. Great hiking and fun times had by all.

The drive up and down the mountain were a little dangerous, but definitely worth it. If I could give any advice, don’t feed the bears they come back a few times a da. The place itself was definitely worth every penny and beautiful inside and out . The hot tub was dirty, and a few other little things. The only problem is the description about the pool was unclear and was not opened which was a huge disappointment

Had a really good time. Enjoyed the family time at the cabin for all ages. Master bedroom was a little cold for my daughter but easily manageable.

Loved the cabin! Plenty of room for everyone! We even got to see beautiful snow AND a mama bear and 3 cubs off our front porch!
We had some minor issues but management was very helpful and easy to get in touch with!
The cabin could use some extra cleaning in places…particularly dusting. Internet and phone service was pretty much non existent, but expected for the location.
Overall we had a great stay!

We had trouble with the heater, in where it was 30 degress inside and outside it was 20. Called the management but they would say its normal the the heater pump wouldnt work. We asked for heaters but theh only send 3 small ones in where for a house the big they did not work. There was a power outage as well the lights would go off and then the WiFi did nlt work in where we paid more to gef more and it still didnt work.

We had a group of 22 adults and 4 children! Plenty of room for everyone! Very clean. Property manager was very responsive from the time we booked until the time we left! The road up to the cabin was a bit scary for me as we are from Florida and not used to the steep inclines and mountain driving. But after a couple days we got used to it. Great location within 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountain Park. Beautiful views from all the large windows and decks. Seen a previous review regarding dish towels so I brought some from home. Glad I did as there was only 2. We also brought an extra towel per person as they only provided 1 per person. Ordered wood to be delivered the day we arrived. Very convenient unless you have a vehicle to get it yourself one you get there. Bring a multipurpose tool as all I found was a hammer. Be sure to lock your cars and keep the doors closed and locked as the bears come right up on the patio. Do not store any food in the patio refrigerator, including milk, as the bears will help themselves to anything in there. Overall wonderful experience! Looking forward to out next visit!

Our family wanted a location to spend Thanksgiving all together. Knotty Lodge met all our expectations. We were 7 adults and 9 children. We had plenty of room and things to do.
The advertisement was exactly as promised everything worked and the management went above expectations to make our stay a Happy Thanksgiving.

Great place and communication with owner/Mgr. Very clean and stocked with all kitchen utilities

I was overall very happy with our stay. The only major complaint I have was that the kitchen for a group of 14 people had two dish towels (thin ones) and no dishcloths. There was one small sponge. We ended up using bath towels in the kitchen. Also no cleaner to wipe down countertops. I am particular about having ample cleaning supplies in the kitchen and towels in the kitchen. It also would be different if we could have zipped to the store to buy some things, but there is no zipping anywhere from this location. It is absolutely beautiful and so very peaceful, but it is not convenient to run to town. Be sure you have what you need.

First off let me tell everyone LOCK!!!!! Your car and truck doors!!!!! We left a truck unlocked and they opened the doors (yes two doors) and was all in it.🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️Our fault.
We enjoyed our stay. Only negative thing is we had no number for contacting own or manager. Had questions but we worked it out.
Great place!!!

50th Anniversary
Wonderful cabin views spectacular, plenty of room for everyone. The kids never said they were bored, all of the entertainment for every age. The dining table sold us for our wedding renewal dinner and ceremony outside. Even had 3 visits of bears on our stay. Going up and down the mountain for the first few times is a little scary but you get used to it. Enjoy !!! you will not regret it

Wonderful House with Beautiful views
This house served our needs and desires perfectly. My wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary with our 4 children, their spouses and children. It was wonderful and everyone had enough room. The views are spectacular. The kitchen is well equipped. The game rooms were great. We did have 2 issues that arose early in our stay. The upstairs air conditioner drain was not working and leaking into the downstair closet. One of the king beds in a bedroom had not been assembled properly causing the bed set to fall between the bed rails. Management was contacted and they responded very quickly. One final issue that I did not report - the hot tub jets did not work for more than a few seconds when the button was pushed. I didn't feel like calling on another problem.
There are a few things that future renters should be made aware of. First it is in a very mountainous area and it takes about 15 minutes to get to the pool by car through extremely steep and winding hills. This is also how long it takes to get to the nearest store. Second - though they claim to have internet, it is soo slow as to be unusable. It tried to log onto my bank 3 different times through the week and it timed out all 3 times. It is simply is not usable. Cell coverage is difficult but they claim you can call through the wifi but that is impossible given the slow data rate. There is an icemaker that does not work because of a cracked tray. They really really should replace the tray so that you don't have to buy ice. We did have to rush the grandchildren inside one day when a bear came ambling into the driveway but that is what is to be expected.

Nice but needs some tlc
Overall it was a beautiful place. Hot tub is cheap and doesnt work well at all. Outside lighting needs fixed or just needs more of it. Light sitting outside at night would have been a plus with all the bear, raccoons and coyotes around. Games and movies are old and need replaced (missing pieces, movies all scratched, etc). Railings are not secured safely. We wouldnt let the kids on the decks because of it. It needs some tlc and i was a little disappointed because of the amount it cost - I thought it could have been a bit better. BUT the place is overall beautiful and peaceful (the trip to it up the mountain was unpleasant, but i am a wimp). Rooms were large, bathrooms were great. Water pressure was impressive. Beds and pillows comfortable. Plenty of linens and blankets and pillows. Kitchen is well stocked! If there is a problem, the renters respond promptly! They fixed a clogged drain for us. Plenty of TVs and they all worked great - cell service was terrible (noones fault, just an fyi). I would definitely recommend this cabin but would also pass along the downfalls i mentioned to better prepare the next renter.
