Situated in Dauphin Island, this charming house for $368 per night is a great option for your next trip. MAX STAY 2 WEEKS. Contact before booking for possible exceptions or questions. This island home is your perfect vacation getaway!. Our home is located a short walk or even shorter drive from the beach and fishing pier and the golf course is 1/2 mile away! It is just off the bike trail and Salt Creek playground. The home also backs up to Salt Creek, a quiet creek which is great for birding, fishing, or kayaking from the backyard! Furnished in the latest island style, this home features a gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops, and 3 bathrooms, one with dual shower heads and another with a deep soaking tub. Three bedrooms have direct bath access. The 4th bedroom upstairs has a tv and games., full size bed and two twin beds with Tuft and Needle mattresses. This room is most comfortable for up to 4 children or 3 adults due to bed sizes (2 twin and 1 full). The outside life is great on Dauphin Island, and you will enjoy the luxury of your own 12 x 20 heated (off season) fun pool. The entire large back porch is screened in so you can enjoy the outdoor life even more! Note that we do not charge extra for pool heating, and are not responsible if weather conditions or occasional mechanical issues prevent the pool from being warm (the pool is a heat pump and will not function in weather under about 50 degrees). Also, we do keep bikes at the home but they are provided AS A COURTESY and are not guaranteed. We rely on our guests to ride them carefully to help keep them in good shape. Bike rental places are available on the island if you need a guaranteed bike size, style, or condition.

The house itself and location were perfect. We had an unforgettable stay and the recommendations were perfect. Being just minutes away from many different beaches was so great. The house had everything we needed. We ate at Skinners 2x during our stay. Had to give them a special mention. Farmers market, aquarium, bakery, gift shops, golfing and beaches everywhere. Would definitely stay again.

The house was absolutely wonderful! Very clean and just as described. Pool was so nice to relax in at the end of day, loved the shelf at the end. Every morning I had breakfast on the screened in porch. We all spent quite a bit of time out there. Next time we're bringing kayaks for the creek behind the house! We have rented many vacation homes in the past but this one is the first that truly had EVERYTHING to make your home away from home an exceptional stay! Comfy beds, A/C that works remarkably, extremely clean and the best screened in patio! We had 3 families that included kids aged 13, 11, 3, 1 1/2. Our kids loved fishing in the creek, playing wiffle ball in the yard, swimming, riding the provided bikes to the park and basketball court that’s right around the corner from the house and of course hanging at the beach… need I say more? They were entertained the entire time which allowed the grownups to relax a little! The inside of the house was stocked and organized with all the essentials plus additional items that came in handy! If there is one note I would drop to upcoming renters, don’t buy coffee filters! There are enough to last a lifetime. Ha!

We left our stay here. It was great to divide our time between swimming in the pool, kayaking down the salt creek to the bay and going to the beach.
The house is laid out nicely for a family group. It was close to everything, including the bakery, the store, the beach, restaurants, and did I mention the bakery.
Julie was very responsive and we had some trouble with the dishwasher. She got it fixed right away. It was nice to have the bikes available as well as beach equipment. Thank you again for allowing us to stay.

When we entered the property our whole family was impressed. The house is absolutely beautiful. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of the property. Everything was sparkling clean. This is the cleanest VRBO that we have stayed in. The stay was very relaxing. I highly recommend taking a ferry ride across the bay and going to visit Orange Beach. The pool and pool table were a lot of fun for the whole family. Overall relaxing and just what we needed. Great communication by the host. Thanks for everything!

WOW! This was the perfect vacation house for our bird watching trip!
The house was quite spacious! The beds were super comfortable – which was very welcome after a day spent walking and exploring. The house did not lack any amenities. I do love going places and finding the fridge totally empty and ready for our groceries - that was great! My husband spent much of his time on his computer and the internet speed was perfect for his needs as well. The kitchen is well appointed though I never did take time to cook- we got takeout from the local area restaurants daily and sat out on the screen porch to enjoy our dinners. The backyard is quite large and very private and with the canal and trees- it was just so peaceful watching the birds while we ate. The outdoor furniture is very comfy and I would often find my husband asleep out there!
After birding all morning we would take mid-day breaks and come home and jump In the pool and get refreshed before our afternoon and early evening explorations! After the first day I would not go out to the pool without my camera as I never knew what kind of bird would pop by while we were out there. I had not expected that the house itself would become such a hot spot for birds! One day new were out exploring all the bird hot spots- and we were in search of the painted bunting. We had no luck. When we got back to the house and pulled in the driveway- what was in the yard?? A painted bunting!!!

I am still amazed!!
I loved the mid island location- anyplace we wanted to go was just a few minutes away. Julie was very quick to answer any questions and was the perfect hostess! We will be back!!!

We had an amazing time here. Kids were in the pool by 8am most days. Good beaches at either end of the island. Used the bikes quite a bit. Would definitely stay here again!

It was our first visit to Dauphin Island, and it was a great vacation! The house was perfect for two families. The kitchen was stocked for cooking and eating in. The pool was great, along with all of the deck space. The house is in the perfect location, close to everything but you have your own space. Julie and Steve were FANTASTIC hosts. Eat the local seafood and go to the bakery. We will certainly be back!

We had the best time at this property! Everything was clean and well-stocked! The pool is AMAZING and the perfect size and depth for my kids who are not yet the strongest swimmers. They loved playing in this pool. The location was perfect. We loved seeing all of the wildlife on the island. All beds were very comfortable. We loved that the upstairs had its own air unit and separate thermostat. We will definitely stay here again.

This home was a great match for everyone in our group ranging from 10 years old to 79 years old. We loved the separate ice machine for filling our cooler for the beach. The kids loved playing ping pong, swimming and reading in the hammock. The home is very private. We really had a wonderful time!

I was a little worried about dauphin island bc I had heard the water wasn’t very pretty since were used to going to Florida but the gulf side of the west end beach was very pretty and the water was clear enough to see 4-5 feet down! The only things I would say that could make the house better would be a few more blankets and maybe fans on the decks upstairs to enjoy the outside more. The house itself was great though! The ice maker was amazing!! Thank you for sharing your house with us!!

Absolutely Wonderful!
It was exceptionally clean, with all the amenities we needed, and plenty we didn’t have time to take advantage of. We spent lots of time in the pool, kitchen, and screened in back porch and loved our time there! The location is perfect, as it’s a super short drive to the stores, restaurants, beaches, and the bird sanctuary. We had a chance to chat with the owners and they were lovely and gave us some great suggestions for where to visit.

My sister and I took our mother and her sisters and other family members to dauphin island and rented this place. We had a wonderful time. It was perfect for us. Loved the privacy and the private pool. Enjoyed the use of pool tubes and the bikes. Only downside was some of the bikes needed a little TLC. Overall a wonderful stay! Would recommend

Dauphin Island is a place to go with family and friends and stay out for the length of vacation. The house was lovely and comfortable and the pool was a must as there just isn't anything else to do in the island.

We had such a great experience at Heron’s Nest! The home was beautiful and in a great location. Short drive to the beaches (west end was our favorite- so many shells 🐚). Fully equipped kitchen came in handy as we cooked every meal. The pool was perfect for the kids. Just a great place for a family vacation.
