Located in Crestone, this lovely house for $150 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The property is located in the heart of historic Crestone which is a small village at the foot of the western slope of the Sangre de Cristo Range, in the northern part of the San Luis Valley. Crestone is easily accessible to visitors. Activities in the area include camping, fishing, hiking, climbing, as well as spiritual explorations. Crestone is named for the 14,000-foot peaks that lie just east of the town: Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle. This property is Suite A of newly remodeled duplex. This a one bedroom apartment on one level with one bathroom, living room and complete kitchen. The property will sleep 4 with one queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. A crib is available for infants.

This property was incredibly comfortable, welcoming, clean and easy to visit. It was a great home base for our visit to Crestone and the surrounding area. I highly recommend it and would go back in a heartbeat.

In town for group retreats at the college, we rented Unit A and Unit B at the same time. This gave the comfort of having good friends next door, but with great privacy, too. A nice set-up.
We did feel upon arrival that the scent of cleaning products in the unit was strong. But opening the windows for a while took care of it.
After a long drive to reach Crestone, it was wonderful just to walk out our door a block or two to restaurants and shops. A convenient, charming, welcoming, and yet unpretentious visitor dwelling.

We loved our visit. Looked like the best place to stay in Crestone. We had multiple deer in the yard and were able to sit on the covered porch and enjoy the rain

Great little place. Located in the heart of town but is quiet and private. Very clean and well appointed. Nice front yard and seating area on the covered front porch. Would definitely stay again.

My partner and I visited Crestone during a new moon to stargaze. The Golden Getaway made for a great landing pad - clean, well appointed, and easy check-in and check-out. You can see the milky way from the front yard! We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Thank you, Elaine!

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home, but you had better be ready for a few "deer" friends to stop over. The property has apple trees on it and the deer just love to look for new fallen apples. Actually, we took fantastic close-up pictures of our new friends. We completely enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed the space. It’s very comfortable, and every need was covered. Crestone is a special place, and we enjoyed the close access to hot spots in town. The deer are fun to see too. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Quick stay to be ‘near’ Great Sand Dunes
This property was great and we found Crestone to be exceedingly charming. Our intention had been to be closer to Great Sand Dunes to cut down on night driving (after late night star gazing) but construction and a detour added to our drive time. Still love this property and location. Would like to return at explore town and nearby hiking. Great local market with walking distance provide what we needed to make dinner.

Beautiful Stay in Downtown Crestone
Clean, well-appointed and nicely decorated one bedroom right downtown in Crestone. Walking distance to grocery, laundry, Buck's Pizza (delicious!) and T-Road Brew Pub (try the Trashy Blonde!). House has great wifi service, cable, and all the kitchenware needed to do meals at home. Very pleasant stay!
Very short drive to numerous trailheads in the Sangre de Cristo range (we saw a bear on North Crestone Creek Trail) and only about 45 minutes from Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Plenty of room for our family of four and two dogs. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Large yard where several dear greeted us daily. Walkable to mail town with the essentials (grocery, restaurants, coffee). Easy hour drive to the dunes.

Exceptional! The place is ultra-clean and comfortable. The property owner is very friendly and supplies everything you'd ever need in a cabin. All the dishes, utensils, spices, shampoos, WIFI, TV (2), Radio, etc, etc... Also of importance, the place is super quiet. I would highly recommend this place, as it is truly your home away from home.
