The property is located in the heart of historic Crestone which is a small village at the foot of the western slope of the Sangre de Cristo Range, in the northern part of the San Luis Valley. Crestone is easily accessible to visitors. Activities in the area include camping, fishing, hiking, climbing, as well as spiritual explorations. Crestone is named for the 14,000-foot peaks that lie just east of the town: Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle. This property is Suite A of newly remodeled duplex. This a one bedroom apartment on one level with one bathroom, living room and complete kitchen. The property will sleep 4 with one queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. A crib is available for infants.

I have stayed here 3 times and love it every time! Its a quaint, fantastic house, exceptionally clean, very well stocked with dishes and supplies and as cozy as your own house! If you plan on staying in Crestone, look no further than this house!

We were a group in Crestone for teaching retreats at and near the college. We rented both Unit A and Unit B. They make a great pair of 1-bedroom dwellings, next to each other but with utter privacy. The leafy but central location of the units made it simple to deal with our having only one rental car among four people, as we only needed to walk a couple of minutes from the units to explore the little town on foot.

What a beautiful location to enjoy this less visited part of the Colorado Rockies. The home is well appointed with all necessary amenities. The front porch and deck were lovely to sit on in the evening and watch the resident deer and fawns frolicking on the property with mountain peaks looming above. Less than three miles away was a trailhead to beautiful hiking and access to fourteeners for those peak bagging. Wished we could stay longer!

We had a wonderful and comfortable weekend stay to celebrate our anniversary and visit the sand dunes. The location is excellent, close to all the small shops in Crestone. The place is incredibly clean with everything we needed. We had our 9 month puppy with us for her first overnight and it was wonderful to know dogs were welcomed. The dog bed in the living room was a nice touch!

I was beyond impressed with the home we stayed in: magnificent views, clean, and spacious. I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend my honeymoon than this Crestone home. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere was all encompassing. I hope those that come after us, enjoy it just as much we did!

Property is clean, amenities are plentiful. Check-in and check-out are easy. Hostess is fabulous and friendly. Property is beautiful. Mountain views are majestic.

This was our first Vrbo experience, and it could not have been better. Hostess has really gone out of her way to make guests feel " at home." Clear directions before and in the home, adorable home nicely done up and with plenty of kitchen, bathroom and linen supplies. Quiet little town. Spoiled us and we will definitely Vrbo again.

AWESOME!
I absolutely fell in love with Colorado and Elaine’s place was 100% what we needed for a getaway! She went absolutely above and beyond to fulfill a very special request and worked with me when some things didn’t go as planned! Even after we move to Colorado we would love to be staying at Elaine’s place anytime we visited the valley ❤️
The views, the house and property, and the host were all just amazing, awesome, and perfect!

Great Location, Sweet Home
We've been here twice now and have reserved it a third time! We love being right in the village, walking distance to the Elephant Cloud, Buck's Pizza and Our Food is Art. A quick drive out to the Grants, up to a Stupa or a trail head as well.

Very clean, lots of outside space, walkable town, only downside for me was lack of a view towards the stunning mountains, but we went on sunset walks that were amazing! Deck has a view towards the valley, which was nice, and ohmigosh THE STARS!

Bring some groceries as the restaurants may be closed. We had pizza at the mystic rose and it was delicious. What a nice weekend away. Not to mention wildlife walked right through the yard. Nice get away.

The cabin was thoughtfully equipped with everything you could want or need. Cute, clean and very welcoming. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to do the Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls, alligator farm or just relax.
