About this house rental

Nestled in Camden, this charming house for $146 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The cottage was built only a few years ago. It is a true studio with only the bathroom separated from the living space. There is plenty of living space with a full size leather couch and a reclining chair. A separate TV area has a loveseat. The dining area is setup for four people. The sleeping area has a new queen size bed and is separated by a desk and bookshelf arrangement. The full bathroom includes a washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, lots of handmade cabinetry, and a back splash of mahogany and Mexican tile. The ceilings are cathedral and covered with Maine cedar. Located in a wonderful neighborhood the cottage is a 7 minute walk to town and the harbor. The library park overlooks the harbor where sailing, kayaking, and lobstering trips are available. The area is lined with benches for just relaxing and taking in the view as windjammers, yachts, and the local lobstermen come and go. You may want to hike or drive up Mt. Battie for an incredible view of the bay and the islands, after all this is where the mountains meet the sea. Shopping and dining are diverse and extraordinary with several award winning restaurants nearby, or you may want to grab a lobster roll to go and head for a scenic rocky spot by the ocean. Just endless delightful possibilities. If you are bringing a canine friend Camden has a wonderful 2 acre dog park and several places where a dog can swim in the lake or the ocean. You are welcome to share the abundance of our organic vegetable garden and our overabundance of raspberries. We respond to your inquiry within a few hours, usually just a few minutes. Please note that all summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday for however many weeks you care to stay. A note to dog owners, we ask you not to leave your dog alone in the cottage. For the sake of peace in our neighborhood if the dog is a persistent barker we will ask you to board them. Thank you.

Well appointed cottage, in a quiet neighborhood at the foot of Camden hills. It has a nice covered and private balcony where we ate out everyday. It is well situated and everything the town has to offer is within walking distance.

This property is lovely. It is near downtown, but far enough away to feel the quiet of the surroundings and gardens. The small home was built by our host, an outstanding woodworker. Beautiful touches throughout. The ceiling is stunning and makes the space look twice its size. We loved it! It was spotless and had everything we needed - including heat for chilly mornings. We’re native Floridians, and going from 101 to Maine weather was startling! And, they have a charming little free library out front so I found a great read.

This cottage was a delightful place for a getaway in the beautiful town of Camden. Equipped with everything we needed and with loads of space, it was a short walk into town with loads of restaurants and shops, and a lovely place to spend time sitting on the porch and admiring the beautiful gardens. The hosts are great, super friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Spouse and I stayed for a week in June. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. Clean, the owners are very reachable, actually live behind the cottage but are not at all intrusive. Very quiet neighborhood, about a 10 minute walk to town.

Recently built cottage at street with owner home at back of property. Easy parking in back. Tasteful open interior. Kitchen has everything for cooking, including lobster pot and nice rack of spices. Perfect quiet escape yet accommodated several friends for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Any question readily answered yet left alone by owners. Easy 3/4 mile walk to heart of magical Camden harbor.

Wonderful cottage with great hosts. Clean well-kept cottage in nice quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to center of town/shops/restaurants, Mt Battie trailhead, and short drive to Megunticook Lake. Great area with lots to do. We kayaked, hiked, Mtn Biked, went to free concerts, a play, fireworks.....The host invited us to pick raspberries from their garden. Couldn't have been a nicer place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this Camden cottage, where we stayed for a month. It's actually bigger than it looks in the photographs, and it's very clean and comfortable. The location allows you to walk to everything in Camden, and we could even walk to Rockport. The hosts are terrific and available if needed. We would highly recommend staying here!

This cottage in Maine was the perfect home away from home during our one week stay in Camden. Beautiful craftsmanship throughout. We enjoyed the .7 mile walk to town and the harbor. The cottage provided all the amenities necessary for a very comfortable stay.

Great cottage from which to explore Camden & surrounding area

My spouse & I recently spent a week at this sweet cottage in Camden. Janet & Stephen were amazing hosts, very friendly but not intrusive. They offered us good recommendations for restaurants and things to do, were readily available, and even encouraged us to help ourselves to fresh produce from their vegetable garden—which we were more than happy to do! The cottage itself is just as described. It’s located in front of the main house on a quiet and safe street about a half mile walk from the beautiful harbor. The interior is an open floor plan including the bedroom area. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked and included everything we needed to cook a few meals. The TV is great and the wi-fi is fast. The air conditioning took a while to cool down, but it was a hot summer week, and it is a modern unit. The parking behind the cottage is very safe. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning and early evenings. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and hope to stay again sometime. Thank you, Janet & Stephen!

Wonderful casita!

Stephen and Janet were wonderful hosts! The casita is lovely—-full kitchen, washer and dryer, grill on the front porch. We grilled burgers and steaks for dinner on two evenings and Janet shared her fresh garden vegetables to go with our dinner. The casita is close enough to town to walk. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is located on a quiet, friendly street. It is well equipped with all necessities, and very well designed and built. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt right at home. Overall this was one of the most enjoyable VRBO experiences.
