Situated in Woodstock, this attractive house for $857 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Park your car and put away your keys for your stay. 1823 Village Green Colonial. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths (both on the second floor). Sleeps 8. River location with sweeping views of the Woodstock Middle Covered Bridge and Mount Tom from all back rooms. Fully equipped kitchen, and gracious dining room to host your Thanksgiving, Christmas or holiday dinner. Directly across from Woodstock Inn. Perfect for people who need kitchen and living areas. Close to Killington, Pico, Suicide Six Ski areas. Walk to trails on MT Tom and Mt Peg. No Parties or Hosted or Catered Events are allowed. No unsupervised children on the terrace. Back terrace is uneven stone and pebbles. Back terrace is not maintained during winter/snow months. Only guests noted in your reservation request are allowed.

Charming house at a wonderful location.

The owners falsely blamed us for damage to a newly installed dishwasher – damage that we reported to them immediately after arriving at the house.
The house has a pronounced, unnerving tilt towards the river and the floors are not level. There were signs posted in the house warning to keep children away from the windows.
The kitchen is small and very dated. There is 4 burner gas rage but no range hood or other ventilation system, a condition that is both potentially dangerous and apparently unlawful. Some of the burners are slow to ignite, causing raw gas to be discharged unvented into the kitchen.
The house is on a very busy road with no onsite parking and you have to follow alternate side of the street parking rules which means moving the car every night.
The owners do not permit the fireplace to be used.
The washer and dryer are in separate rooms down a steep flight of stairs and far away from each other.
There is inadequate lighting in the house. There are few ceiling fixtures and one in the master suite will hit your head if you are over 5’10” tall.
The best thing about this house is its location, which is right in town and convenient to everything in Woodstock.

We were a group of 3 couples enjoying a week of cycling in the area. The house was great for us with the space inside where we cooked several meals and ate in the dining room. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking. We also relaxed in the evenings after our rides on the back patio which was peaceful and beautiful with the river and covered bridge.
The location was ideal being on The Green as we walked to stores and restaurants of Woodstock. A surprise treat was the Wednesday afternoon market directly out the front door! We started our cycling adventure through Vermont Bike and Brew each day straight from the house as we rode the scenic roads of the area. This was one objective for us to have a single home base while seeing the fall colors while biking in Vermont. Thanks to Marisa for supplying an electric cord and power strip for us to charge the e-bikes we had rented which we parked in the back of the house. The access was a bit tricky moving the heavy bikes up and down the stone steps to the backyard and around the repairs on going in the back.
Overall we all loved the stay and would return if we were to come back again.

The location couldn’t be any better. Across from the Green, covered bridge visible from nearly every room and an easy walk to town and Mt Tom.
The house is extremely clean and very well stocked.
The owner is very helpful and communicative. Would highly recommend.

This was the ideal place for our family to stay for our son's wedding weekend. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the location cannot be beat. It was lovely having coffee on the front porch and seeing friends as they walk by the green in the center of the town. The hosts made everything seamless, with easy instructions for check in and check out. Could not have been happier with our choice.

What a great visit we had in Woodstock, VT with our nieces and their husbands. We came from California to visit them and decided to rent in Woodstock so we could ski in the surrounding resorts. We did get one fun day of skiing before the polar vortex hit.
We were so lucky to have this home. We watched the river freeze from the kitchen river. We cooked and played games all weekend. It was the perfect home to spend a cold weekend with the family.
Thank you for your great hospitality. The home was well stocked with everything we could need. We will fondly remember our cold visit to VT

This house is in the perfect spot. It is across the street from the Village Green, which has a farmer's market once a week. It is a couple of blocks away from a bookstore, an icecream store, the library, a butcher/deli, a general store and other shops. In ten minutes or so you can walk to three different hikes. Plus during the summer you are a ten minute walk away from the town recreation center, which has an outdoor lap pool.
And how could I forget that a covered bridge is part of the backyard view, which also overlooks a scenic river. The wall of windows in house that lets you see all this cannot be beat.

Wonderful stay
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marisa’s house! The house is beautiful and cozy and everything was very clean! The setting of the house is perfect. We woke up to beautiful views of the river every morning. We liked being in the house so much that we had very leisurely starts to every day. The kids occupied themselves with the well-stocked game cabinet while my husband and enjoyed out coffee while looking at the gorgeous view! We were also able to walk to almost everything we wanted to do. Marisa was also very nice and super helpful. We are already planning our next stay!

Woodstock near the Green
This a charming old house with the perfect location and gorgeous views. Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful long weekend here.
The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. Marisa was easily accessible for any questions. Highly recommend!

Quintessential New England Home
This is a lovely home right in the center of Woodstock. Just park your car and enjoy walking around and exploring the town. You can retreat to the house at any time to relax either enjoying the patio with its view of the river and covered bridge or one of the three sitting rooms. A well appointed kitchen and large bedrooms make this home the perfect place for a group to stay.

The house on The Green was everything we hoped for: walking distance to great shops, food, and our favorite local spots! The view from the kitchen window was amazing. We loved this property and will come back next year! ☺️

We spent a perfect Thanksgiving in Woodstock. The house is historic and a beautiful location. Right on the river with a great view of the wooden bridge. Really easy to walk anywhere in town. The owner is very helpful and accommodating.

Perfect Place to Stay and Experience Woodstock!
Our great Aunt lived in Woodstock, VT for over 20 years. She was 91 when she passed away earlier this year in Miami, FL. Our family rented this home to stay at while we were in town for her memorial service at St. James Episcopal Church (just a mere 3 blocks down the street).
Very clean and spacious home with a beautiful back patio to relax on. It has an amazing view of Middle Bridge (the covered bridge in town) and was a great setting for our family to hang out an reminisce on all of our wonderful memories of our great aunt.
The owners were great to work with and very attentive. I would highly recommend staying here!

Wedding Weekend
Perfect location - easy walk to church and reception at Woodstock Inn and all other wedding related activites (welcome drinks at Bentleys, hiking, golf, shopping, etc). The house fit our family of 8 very comfortably, was a wonderful set up for "bridal prep" and had a beautiful patio on the river for family barbeque and "first look" photos.

17 The Green- An amazing back terrace overlooking the river and covered bridge!
Our family had a wonderful time reuniting at 17 The Green, Woodstock, VT. The 1823 home offers many beds making it a wonderful place for everyone to be together. The best part of all, however, is their beautiful stone terrace at the back of the house. We spent as much time out there as possible: cooking out and eating meals around the table together, enjoying the river and views of the covered bridge and Mt. Tom, watching family members tube by, sitting around the fire pit enjoying the evening and river sounds while eating s'mores. The family loved the convenience to the shops and cafes in town. The front porch was also a perfect perch from which to watch the parade go by! Just lovely!

Perfect Location!
This house was absolutely perfect for our family! We were in Woodstock for a family wedding which was held at the Woodstock Inn and we could not have chosen a better location! The back patio was amazing and we spent a lot of time there when we weren't at wedding activities! The house was a perfect size for our group of 8 and the entire house was clean and well cared for. Marisa, the owner, was extremely helpful and attentive! We would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to find ourselves in this beautiful part of the country!

Winter Wonderland in Woodstock
Home location couldn't have been better!! Interior accomendations were comfortable and sufficient for our large group. Only recommendation would be to have an empty refrigerator & freezer as it got confusing as to what was ours vs home owners and the freezer was full upon arrival w/ very little space to put anything in it. Overall, would highly recommend to anyone.

Location, Location, Location!
This beautiful house is nestled in the heart of Woodstock and is walking distance from unique little shops, restaurants, and breathtaking scenery. I rented this estate for my family to stay in when they came up for my bridal shower. The view of the babbling river/ creek in the back is worth every penny, and the house itself is stunningly beautiful inside and out. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer.

Wonderful in-town location for a beautiful house between the river and the town green
My extended family was lucky to stay at this beautiful house for a week in July. It was a wonderful place to stay and our hosts could not have been more helpful.
The house overlooks the river (many rooms have river views) and covered bridge and has a lovely backyard patio. It is across the street from the town green and library and easy walking distance to town, billings farm, school playground and town recreation/pool center. Parking was plentiful in front of the house.
Kitchen was very well stocked and lots of family games. Huge dining room table that comfortably sat our 8 family members. Neighbors were very friendly!
No a/c but the large windows/high ceilings and fans supplied by the owners kept the house cool even during a heat wave.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
