Lakeview Ridge is situated just 5 minutes drive from the Oberon town, which has few cafes, pubs, restaurants and all the necessities. Note: Oberon is the highest town in the Greater Blue Mountains region therefore nights can be cool even in summer and during winter due to snowfalls weather can affect road conditions. One of my favorite things about Australia is the wildlife, but for many others it can be an off-putting factor. Try to avoid walking through long grass and If you do, always wear safe clothing such as enclosed protective footwear and long trousers. As the lake is the town’s water supply, only canoeing, kayaking and electric powered craft are permitted, and life vests must be worn.
