Very disappointed as it was the kids holiday

Exceptional

Very nice room. Small but very practical. Everything very clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Good beer and the fish & chips were exceptionally good. The beer tasted very good and the atmosphere in the pub was very good. Sure that evening Wales won against England in rugby. Thanks for the great experience.

Comfy beds, friendly staff and a perfect location

They definitely need double glazing - the window wouldn’t close properly and we were kept up all night with the noise of rain hitting the glass roof underneath our window and the sound of traffic. If someone flushes the toilet in another room it makes a heck of a noise because of the old plumbing and the walls are paper thin. Bathroom could definitely do with modernisation. Noone there for check out in the morning and no breakfast included. Definitely wasn’t worth the £160 we paid for the room as we didn’t sleep a wink

Would never return to stay

Location and pub side was very nice, food in pub very good

Rooms were awful, smelt very strong of damp/ mould. Very tired and felt dirty, carpet filthy. Checked out after 1 night so complete waste of money.

Good pub spoiled by being dog friendly, out of control.

Room was good, location, pub food.

Too many dogs in the pub. I don't like drinking and eating in a kennel.

Comfortable and cosy

Very good value, easy to access the room without going through the bar. The shower is very good.

It was a bit difficult to plug the kettle in, cable not quite long enough, but I managed by standing it in a drawer.

Great value for money clean comfortable accommodation right in the centre of town

Great value for money. Large clean room with comfortable bed and great atmosphere and food in the pub. The pub is located in the centre of the town, which has lots of shops and places to get. They even had space to park up my motorbike!

It is a pub so expect a great atmosphere until the early hours, plus my room was opposite the road but this does fall quiet at night - take ear plugs if you want and early night!

Friendly staff, comfortable clean room, good value.

Noisy location at front of pub. Stair case outside rooms not vacuumed for couple days I stayed. No room guide available as being updated, but some info could have been left in the room.

Nice place, well situated, helpful staff.

Extremely good value for money, comfy bed, larger room than expected

Emailed straight after booking to see if there was a possibility of early check in. Despite no reply I did arrive at 2.30 and was shown straight to my room so could possibly have checked in earlier rather than sitting around in my van.

Budget room that is clean.

Great staff and a friendly atmosphere. The room was a good size and had tea and coffee facilities included. The price of the room was excellent value. I was expecting a basic room and it was much nicer than I expected.

The bathroom let the room down. It was clean but the moldy grout and edges of the tiles let it down. Its the first thing you notice about the shower. I would also mention that the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It definitely needed a new mattress or a topper because it was lumpy. I ended up sleeping on top of the quilt to soften it.
