This is a no-frills hotel, but it absolutely met all of our expectations and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel was absolutely spotlessly clean, which really stood out. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, courteous and hardworking, and nothing felt like too much trouble. We also ate at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the food. It was well cooked, served steaming hot, and came out of the kitchen remarkably quickly. Breakfast was decent and more than adequate, although a slightly wider selection would have been appreciated — particularly the option of a croissant. The location is excellent for exploring Ludlow, being within easy walking distance of the town centre and perfect for visiting Ludlow Castle. I would definitely recommend it. It was a very satisfying stay, and we would happily return.

More choice at breakfast

A quiet hotel in a very handy location for walking into town. Delicious cooked breakfast. Very friendly breakfast staff.

Our low score reflects our disappointment at what we consider to be rather false advertising of the room. We had the 'one bedroom cottage' which is in fact just one of three rooms in an annex, with a shared patio. The picture shows the one room which has double doors direct to the patio (which we didn't have). It's not private, as would be expected from the description.
