The staff & manager were extremely welcoming & helpful. My room was very clean & comfortable. The restaurant was spacious & comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located for the town centre & of course has a lot of atmosphere. The hotel is very dog friendly

Amazing historic building, smack in the centre of the town. Very nice food. Friendly staff.
Accessible room hardly big enough to fit a wheelchair, though bathroom was good and really hot, with a very tricky window that could hardly be opened. Wine list really quite disappointing. Nothing even close to decent.

Central location, parking on site, first greeting very friendly and helpful, bed comfotable
The room was not very clean, lots of dust on edges of panelling, wardrobe etc, window sills were dirty and the gap between windows and screen clearly hadn't been cleaned for a very long time.
There was a bag of rubbish and a load of glasses outside our room on arrival, still there when we went out later.
Nice to have a hairdryer but no plug socket anywhere near the only mirror in the room.
