Great place to stay - we have been 5 times. And we will return!

Beautifully quiet location and very comfortable accommodation. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourselves. Large lounge/dining area to spend quality time. The bed is very comfortable.

Location is perfect. Absolutely lovely place to live or stay. Secluded and very quiet. On our first night we went outside to lock up the motorbike and found ourselves in total darkness. It was as though a bag had been put on our heads until a few paces forward we were suddenly illuminated by a night light. We live in a rural area of Leeds but don't experience darkness like that unless we go out into the north Yorkshire moors. It was great to see the stars so clearly. The Annexe is very tidy and clean. Everything you could need and more for any length of stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and clean. Parking in such an out-of-the-way house is very secure as you can imagine. The roads leading to Tregoose House are narrow with passing points but it takes no time to get there and we didn't experience any difficulty (infact we didn't see another car on one of the lanes). The little ford is very picturesque and easily negotiated in a car or by motorcycle. Tregoose House grounds (gardens) are very well kept and patrolled by a little cat that is obviously king of its domain. Newquay town centre isn't far at all and the new roads are less busy than I remember many years ago. The contrast between the hustle and bustle of Newquay and the peace and tranquillity of Tregoose couldn't be greater. Sad to leave but we were only booked for two nights. Would absolutely go again and wholeheartedly recommend Tregoose House.

The lock box was easy to open once you found where to go. Good knives and pots and pans, clean, bright.

The amount of stairs wasn't clear in the listing, 2 flights to the bedroom plus 3 more to the bathroom. The lounge (not like the listing)was covered in a dust cover like you would put down for grubby children, not paying guests. The listing indicates there was a terrace with lake views and an outdoor dining option, none of which we saw. It also indicated there was 'chocolate or cookies' to enjoy...none were found.The bed is a double and perhaps this is normal for the British but not what an overseas traveller would expect..very small.
