About this cottage rental
Situated in Barrengarry, this charming cottage for $260 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Springview Retreat is in a class of its own. Situated on a 15 acre property that used to be part of a much larger dairy farm. The original "Springview" farm house is about 100 meters from the cottage. Private access and tasteful furnishings, you won't have to leave your comfortable king size bed (with luxurious linen) to enjoy the sweeping views of the Barrengarry escarpment. Leave the blinds in the bathroom open, the cattle will be your only curious visitors. If you have a clear night we guarantee an unforgettable evening lying on the large deck gazing at the night sky full of stars. Only 7 minutes from the picturesque Kangaroo Valley village that offers a selection of quaint shops and good restaurants. For those a little more adventurous we recommend a trip in a canoe down the river. There are also some fabulous bush walks in, and around the valley. You can also explore the area by car to view the cliffs, waterfalls and rivers. Fully self contained, you can curl up on the sofa for your whole stay with a book, or explore the many local attractions. We hope you will create wonderful memories in our little piece of paradise. Happy to help in any way we can! Wood is supplied for the fireplace during the winter months. Please note, this cottage is for couples only, strictly NO pets (please do not put us in an awkward position and ask if you can bring pets. We take no pets, not small ones, not good ones NO PETS!) NO children and NO smoking

A perfect place to get away from it all. Probably the best place we have stayed in. Stunning views and total peace and quiet with visits from wombats and kangaroos! The house is beautifully styled and has everything you need. Karen and her husband are wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to return!

The presentation of the cabin was impeccable. With a 3m x 3m window to nature, a great kitchen, king bed, and a bath, there is nothing else needed. Such a lovely few days.

My wife and I went to springview for our honeymoon and it was a stunning spot. It was very relaxing and you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but you are also very close to the kangaroo valley township if you need to duck into the shops. To be completely honest I wasn’t expecting the view to live up to the photos on the ad but it is as described, just completely stunning. Karen was a fantastic host responding very promptly to any questions we had. We would highly recommend!

Springview Retreat was a spectacular place. A beautifully appointed, private cottage with everything you could possibly need, yet only a few minutes out of town. Everything was very clean and thoughtfully laid out. Karen was also incredibly helpful and responsive. We stayed for our honeymoon and it was magical being amongst the cows and birds looking up at the escarpment. The view has to be seen to be believed and the fireplace was incredible. Karen also left us some delicious treats which made our stay extra special. We will be back for sure!

We had the most wonderful stay at Springview Retreat. A gorgeous property in a stunning location. The views are to die for. Once you arrive you instantly relax. Everything was taken care of and there was nothing to worry about. Karen was super friendly and provided lovely personal touches (even a bag of fresh oranges when we departed!) the bed is super comfy as is the bath with the most relaxing view down the valley. The place is only half an hour from Berry if you would like to try some restaurants and the township is only 5 mins up the road with excellent coffee, ice creams etc. we can’t wait to come back!

It looks just like the pictures. Stayed for the weekend and it was a perfect get away. Karen was amazing and has made the cottage so homely and has everything you could need. I highly recommend staying, and can't wait to go back

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here for our 10 year wedding anniversary.
The views were breathtaking! The moment you wake up you can open the motorised blind to take in the amazing view of the landscape and see all the beautiful birds and cows. This was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and getaway to complete serenity with minimal reception it was a great way to take in the moment and enjoy each others company. We enjoyed a bubble bath whilst taking in the beautiful views with a glass of wine.
The little touches Karen added didn't go unnoticed, from the welcoming message on the chalkboard congratulating us on our anniversary, to the chocolates on our bed and the delicious Biscoff biscuits and the marshmallows for toasting by the fireplace. The place was immaculate and clean and our host Karen was so lovely providing clear instructions to access the property and even offering a late check out which unfortunately we weren't able to use as we had to get back to our kids but very appreciative! A short drive to Kangaroo Valley shops and 30-40 min drive to local wineries. Highly recommend this place and we hope to come back and visit again one day.

We had a lovely getaway at Springview retreat and cannot wait to visit again. The owner Karen made sure the firewood was topped up daily which was a nice touch. Karen lives right next door which is handy if there are any issues! Thank you Karen for letting us stay at your beautiful getaway. Highly highly recommend!

My wife booked this stay for my birthday.
The accommodation is great and the views are spectacular taking in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley by day and the starry sky by night.
Karen (the host) recommended some great bushwalks and sightseeing and kindly provided us some of the nicest oranges we have ever tasted.
We will definitely be back.

The cottage is divine - breathtaking views and the most beautiful large windows enables you to see the view from the bed.
Great getaway, nice and secluded location.
Bath was relaxing , taking in the views of the surrounds was just amazing.
Karen is a wonderful host, making sure that everything was perfect for us.

This property is perfect in every way. The location is stunning and the cottage is beautifully designed. This was our second visit. Stayed 3 nights. I couldn’t quite get over the view even though I’d been before. It’s tremendous and always changing. Had long luxurious baths watching the sky and scenery and the cows wandering by. A perfect place for total relaxation and not doing much except for having a nice glass of something in front of the fire and a game of scrabble or 2. Plenty to do in that area if you’re in need of a hike or paddle but also great for doing nothing at all. Thanks to Karen for her kind care too. What an amazing place you’ve created.
