Upon arrival : although the hotel has only about 5 parkings spots at this moment, there were always free of charge parking spots nearby "on the street". We stayed with 4 persons and 1 dog in 2 rooms for 3 nights. Hotel with restaurant ( we did not try the restaurant) in a quiet residential area. We knew the hotel indicates 3 stars, and actually it is a bit old-fashioned and in need of renovation. We could see from the front that renovation work is underway. We wanted 2 superior rooms but only 1 was available and could only have 1 comfort double extra. Nevertheless, the rooms and beds were good and clean. Also the breakfast is sober/basic but quite ok. There is an e-bike rental just 20m from the hotel entrance which was quite convenient for us, as we had only 3 e-bikes with us for 4 persons.
We did find the hotel a bit on the pricey side at €970 for three nights for four people and one dog (for a three-star hotel), but we knew this in advance and our choice was also limited by the pet, the booking period and the specific location we were looking for. Our main criticism is that, for that price – and even for a 3-star hotel – we feel air conditioning should be available. The ground-floor superior room wasn’t on the sunny side, so that was still okay. But the Comfort Double Room was like a ‘sauna’ as soon as we walked in. With the climate getting warmer and warmer, this is essential for a good night’s sleep. Opening the windows helps a little, but it lets other unwanted guests in...
