Our room was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The bed was quite comfortable, the room was spacious and appreciated having a full-size desk. We enjoyed the Nespresso machine and a mini bar with waters and coke that were included. The buffet breakfast was very nice, decent variety and custom omelettes available on request. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the location was very convenient to Centraal station.
An outside view from the windows would've been nice but they did let in light. More electrical receptacles would have been convenient, but it is a (historic) older building and they were adequate.

The hotel is a landmark building by Amsterdam's Grand Canal, it's a majestic hotel with huge rooms, high ceilings, gothic architecture and ambiance. We walked everywhere but it's well connected for public transport.
Our room was very cold, unfortunately this is more related to the outside weather. However because the rooms are very big, and the air conditioning only allows you to change the room temperature by max 3 degrees, we could not solve the situation. Hotel provided us a heater and extra blankets, but for a Exec Suite room we paid for, this was not ideal experience.

Good location near the station and friendly staff
No way it’s a 5* hotel. Desperately shabby everywhere, rooms are pretty smelly and in need of an upgrade. Very noisy to sleep with loads of big doors constantly slamming
