The highlight of the hotel was the gym: literally had everything you'd want and more. They had clean fresh clothes you could wear in the locker rooms - very handy if you can't wash your workout clothes.
The location was pretty good too, felt like it was in the middle of everything. The breakfast was of a pretty good standard food wise.
Overall it maybe needs a tiny refresh, it's still a nice hotel but just a little bit tired here and there. How amazing and on point the gym is makes the rest of the hotel feel lacking in comparison for example.
Also the breakfast staff are too hectic, plates crashing cups flying around , chaotic noise the whole time etc. The ambience of breakfast time makes the hotel feel less premium despite the food actually being decent.
The rooms are small which is mostly ok but there's basically nowhere to put your stuff if you like to unpack your clothes. They need to integrate some form of wardrobe in there.

Crowded at breakfast but extending it to 11 am in the summer must help lessen congestion

I loved the whole experience... location is brilliant, so incredibly central. The staff were exceptional, friendly, hospitable and presented themselves beautifully/professionally at all times. The food was sensational in every aspect, much variety for breakfasts and delicious. The menu for dining and presentation/freshness of each dish was outstanding, truly I can't fault the food. The room was lovely and quaint all that was needed. I loved the gym, excellent equipment and variety - facilities are very, very good and I see it is popular!
