Overall, this hotel has everything it needs to be truly great, and our stay was good. The price was an excellent value, and the location is perfect if you want to escape the noise and crowds of the city. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly and diligent—they even brought a humidifier to our room to help with my allergies.
However, there are a few areas that need attention. The carpet in the room is clean but very old and worn out. The bathtub is also quite slippery, which is a safety risk for elderly guests. Finally, the AC is centrally controlled and locked at 23°C, which feels too warm given the Dominican Republic heat. With a few maintenance updates, this place would be amazing!

It was great quality for the price. Room service was OK. Breakfast was very good.
we didn't get a renovated room, but I guess that's Ok. Bathroom did seem to have been renovated. Found some items under the bed that were not ours, so it means this was not cleaned so well before our stay, but overall cleanliness was fine (specially the bathroom)

Location
Ceiling leaking water from room above. Took an entire day to get a toothbrush from the front desk. Totally unsatisfactory. Room was old and musty smelling.
