The location in beautiful Evian, right by the lake. The quality of the food at breakfast, in the restaurant and via room service was good, although it wasn’t cheap.

When we moved in, the toilet bowl in our room was still dirty from the previous guest. The door frame in the bathroom was already partly rotten, which is why the newer door wouldn’t close properly. The water overflow from the outdoor pool is extensively damaged and therefore poses an increased risk. The tile grout in the pool has turned black almost everywhere. The pool bar remains unstaffed throughout opening hours, even when the pool area is full. The carpets and wallpaper in the corridors are in a state of disrepair and, in some places, damaged. Paving slabs in the garden, covering almost the entire path leading to the road, are broken and loose. Housekeeping was inadequate; for example, a bathrobe was removed and not replaced. Generally speaking, the service staff were only attentive in the restaurant area. Several control buttons in lifts or access terminals are partly faulty; in some cases, they only work if pressed very hard.

Really nice location directly on the lake. The valet service was very good. The junior suite was very large and had plenty of space.

A couple of the staff were a bit unfriendly, one questioned whether we were even guests before explaining where the pool was, and the restaurant service was very slow and we had to ask a few times to order - except when they wanted you to leave and tried removing plates before we were finished eating!
